Chapter 70 I'm willing to die for you

After finishing their meal, Li Baolong and Xiaoyu returned to Li Baolong's home together. As soon as Xiaoyu stepped inside, she froze, her eyes wide with surprise and shock. She never imagined that Li Baolong's home would be so spacious and luxuriously decorated. Suddenly, she became extremely shy and reserved, standing awkwardly at the living room doorway, unsure what to do with her hands and feet, too embarrassed to step onto the sofa and sit down. She simply stood there awkwardly.

Seeing Xiaoyu's expression, Li Baolong couldn't help but laugh. He quickly took a few steps, reached out and gently pulled Xiaoyu closer, saying with a smile, "Little Xiaoyu, don't be so nervous. This is my new home, you can come and stay anytime. There are three rooms here, one of which is yours." He led Xiaoyu into a room, making the bed as he spoke, "You'll sleep here tonight, I'll stay in the room opposite yours. Just call me if you need anything." After making the bed, Li Baolong said to Xiaoyu, "Xiaoyu, go take a shower and change your clothes. If you don't have pajamas, just wear my short-sleeved T-shirt for now." Xiaoyu's face flushed red instantly. She lowered her head, whispered "Okay," and shyly went into the bathroom.

Seeing Xiaoyu enter the bathroom, Li Baolong turned and went to the balcony. He slowly sat down, looked up at the vast starry sky, took a deep breath, and then slowly closed his eyes to rest. A gentle night breeze brought coolness and tranquility. Li Baolong was immersed in this moment of peace, pondering how to help Xiaoyu solve her predicament, while also marveling at the wonder of life that had brought them together in this way.

About an hour later, a light drizzle was still falling. Then, the raindrops drifted slowly and leisurely towards them. As they drew closer, she softly called out, "Brother Baolong!"

Li Baolong, who had been resting with his eyes closed, slowly opened them upon hearing the sound and looked in the direction from which it came. His eyes lit up at the sight. Xiaoyu was wearing a simple short-sleeved T-shirt, which perfectly accentuated her voluptuous and alluring figure.

Xiaoyu's curvaceous figure was on full display, her curves exquisitely sculpted. Especially her large, high breasts and full, round hips were captivating. The short T-shirt couldn't completely conceal her stunning figure.

Looking at the graceful Xiaoyu in front of him, Li Baolong thought to himself, "If this little girl grows up a bit more, she will definitely become a stunning beauty who can charm many men!"

Li Baolong quickly stood up, pulled Xiaoyu to sit on the sofa, turned around and took some fruit from the refrigerator, placed it in front of Xiaoyu, and said with a smile, "Xiaoyu, have some fruit. Let me tell you, I really think you should continue your studies. You're only 19 years old. If you don't go to school now, your youth will be wasted. Don't worry, I'll cover your tuition for the next three years. Don't think about anything else, just focus on studying hard."

Upon hearing this, Xiaoyu's eyes immediately reddened, and tears streamed down her face like broken beads. She choked out, "Brother Baolong, why are you so good to me? We're not related at all. My relatives only want me to stop studying and get married quickly to get a dowry. It's so hard for me. After my mother passed away, I didn't know who to tell my troubles to, or who could help me. Last night, I was alone in a corner of the station, cold, hungry, and terrified. It wasn't until I saw you this morning that I felt warmth again. I haven't felt this kind of care in such a long, long time."

Li Baolong gently patted Xiaoyu's shoulder and comforted her, "Xiaoyu, don't cry. You're a good girl and shouldn't be treated like this. Since I can help, I certainly won't stand idly by. Don't worry, with me here, I won't let you be left with nowhere to turn." Xiaoyu raised her tear-streaked face, looked at Li Baolong, and her eyes were filled with gratitude and dependence.

Li Baolong gently patted Xiaoyu's back and said softly, "Xiaoyu, don't think about these upsetting things anymore. Put your worries behind you, get a good night's sleep, and everything will be better tomorrow." As he spoke, he took out a wad of cash from his bag, counted out ten thousand yuan, and gently placed it in Xiaoyu's hand. He continued, "Tomorrow, go home and tell your father and uncle that a boss is willing to give you ten thousand yuan to work for him for three years, and that you've already agreed and signed the contract. That way, they shouldn't make things difficult for you anymore, and you can continue to go to school without worry."

Hearing this, Xiaoyu's tears flowed uncontrollably again. She threw herself into Li Baolong's arms, sobbing, "Brother Baolong, in this world, you're the only one who's ever been good to me. I'm willing to do anything for you, I'd even die for you." Li Baolong was deeply moved. He quickly said, "Xiaoyu, we're still young, and a wonderful life awaits us. Be good, don't say anything silly, and get some rest. Tomorrow, take this money home, take care of things, and don't worry about anything else. I'm here."

Xiaoyu nodded, sobbing in Li Baolong's arms, and after a while, she slowly let go. Li Baolong looked at Xiaoyu, his eyes full of concern and encouragement. He stood up, took Xiaoyu to the room that had been prepared for her, tucked her in, whispered goodnight, and then gently closed the door so that Xiaoyu could sleep peacefully.

The next morning, Li Baolong accompanied Xiaoyu to the station. The station was bustling with people, all in a hurry, but Li Baolong's heart was filled with worry and concern for Xiaoyu.

He picked out a lot of food from the convenience store in the waiting hall, carrying bags of it to Xiaoyu. As he stuffed the food into her hands, he instructed her, "Xiaoyu, take these with you on the way. Don't go hungry. When you get home, quickly explain things to your dad and uncle. After you've finished, come back to school as soon as possible. School is about to start, so you can't let your studies be delayed."

Xiaoyu felt a warmth in her heart as she watched Li Baolong busying himself for her, and her eyes welled up with tears. She quickly nodded and said, "Brother Baolong, don't worry, I'll definitely come back to see you in a couple of days. You're so good to me, I definitely won't let you down."

Li Baolong gently patted Xiaoyu's head, just like he would his own sister, and said, "Be careful on the road. Call me if anything happens. I'll be waiting for you here, and then we can discuss things together."

As departure time approached, Xiaoyu, carrying Li Baolong's care and expectations, embarked on her journey home. Li Baolong stood on the station platform, watching the train carrying Xiaoyu slowly drive away until it disappeared into the distance before turning away.
