Chapter 89: Filming Begins for "Law of the Jungle" (2/2)

The filming locations for this production were mainly in three places: one was scenes that could be filmed in downtown Shanghai, another was scenes that needed to be filmed separately in a studio, and the last and most important location, which also had the most scenes, was the mysterious death island in the story.

"Law of the Jungle" was jointly produced by several companies including Shanghai Rongguang Film and Television Production Company, Shanghai Shenghe Film and Television Production Company, and Kiwi Pictures. It was directed by Ren Changwen, written by Shen Zhongcheng, and had an investment of 300 million yuan, most of which was invested on the island.

The island chosen for the shoot is located in Haishi. It was originally a tourist area, but due to a hurricane recently, the island's buildings and infrastructure suffered serious damage, so the island is still under repair.

However, this environment also perfectly matched the background of the story they were filming. The island's inherent desolation and mess actually saved the production team a lot of money on set construction.

After they finish filming the scenes in Shanghai before going to the island, they can prepare to land on the island.

"Lin Yu'an, Xu Ning, get ready."

Ren Changwen shouted from behind, holding a megaphone.

"Okay, coming right up."

Xiao He and Liu Zehang stood up from their seats and walked to the set to wait.

As the first scene after filming began, this scene was not particularly difficult; it was simply the first meeting between Lin Yu'an and Xu Ning.

The night outside the window was hazy, with only some neon lights shining through the window of the ward onto the floor. Lin Yu'an, who had been busy all day, sat in front of the hospital bed, drowsy and exhausted.

Just then, the ward door was suddenly pushed open.

A tall figure stood in front of the door.

Lin Yu'an barely managed to open his eyes a crack and looked at the person standing at the door, only to find that it was a strange man he didn't recognize.

"Could it be someone coming to collect a debt again?"

Lin Yu'an was still half asleep when he rubbed his eyes. Just as he was about to say something, his collar was suddenly grabbed by the other person, who then lifted him up and carried him out of the ward.

"Eh eh—"

Lin Yu'an wanted to loudly question who he was and what he wanted to do, but then she saw the person on the hospital bed and quickly fell silent, not daring to make too much noise and wake the person on the bed.

So Lin Yu'an was dragged to the stairwell of the hospital by this suddenly appearing stranger.

"Who are you? Who sent you?"

Lin Yu'an looked at the person in front of him with a wary expression, his drowsiness completely gone.

"This is for you."

Xu Ning handed an invitation to Lin Yu'an.

The invitation looked incredibly high-end; even the seal on it was adorned with gold leaf, making it quite valuable.

Lin Yu'an paused for a moment, then seemed to remember something. His pupils contracted slightly, and his gaze fell on the invitation in Xu Ning's hand: "What is this?"

"What? Trying to play dumb?"

"You signed up yourself." Xu Ning sneered and waved the invitation in his hand. "It was your own choice, so it's pointless to play dumb now. Besides, I guarantee that if you make me leave empty-handed, you'll suffer a very miserable death."

Lin Yu'an met Xu Ning's gaze, which was so cold it could kill. After a moment of silence, she forced a smile and then accepted the invitation with trembling hands: "Thank you."

"Very good." Xu Ning nodded slightly, then turned around and walked outside. "I'll come to pick you up in two days. Remember to leave a will. I never take responsibility for disposing of corpses."

Lin Yu'an frowned: "I still don't know your name."

Xu Ning waved lazily:

"You can call me Xu Ning."
