Chapter 113 Wherever she goes, he will go.

Pei Xi thought about it for an afternoon, and to be honest, she was really unsure.

And most importantly, she remembered that in her dream, Jiang Cheng's game company was located in Jingjiang.

Although many things now are different from the timeline in her dream, Pei Xi's intuition tells her that these important milestones cannot be changed.

If Jiang Cheng doesn't go to Jingjiang, where will his company be located?

This uncertainty about the impending derailment made Pei Xi uneasy. She felt it was necessary to talk to Jiang Cheng in person and make sure he stayed on the safe, established path.

Pei Xi lay on the bed, stared at the ceiling for two seconds, then decisively took out her phone and sent Jiang Cheng a message: "What are you doing?"

A few seconds later, Jiang Cheng replied, "Reading a book."

Then he asked, "Is there something you need?"

Pei Xi frowned and pondered for a moment before typing, "I suddenly remembered that I haven't been to your new place since you moved. Could you invite me over for a visit tomorrow?"

After saying that, she added a cute, pleading emoji.

Jiang Cheng replied quickly, "Okay."

"Then I'll come to see you tomorrow morning?" Pei Xi asked.

"Um."

The next morning, Pei Xi washed up, dressed neatly, and stood in front of the mirror to look at himself.

Winter has receded in Yulin City, and spring is gradually spreading, so there's no need to wear winter coats anymore.

She was wearing a thick baseball jacket over a thin cashmere sweater.

She deliberately got up very early, went to the supermarket first, and then took a taxi directly to the address Jiang Cheng had given her, arriving more than half an hour earlier than the agreed time.

Pei Xi found the building number Jiang Cheng had given him, entered the unit, walked through the mottled and old corridor, and arrived at Jiang Cheng's door. He raised his hand and knocked on the door a few times.

A series of hurried footsteps immediately came from inside.

Then the iron security door opened, revealing Jiang Cheng's slightly surprised face. "Why are you here so early?"

Pei Xi smiled. "You're not tidying up the room, are you?"

Jiang Cheng remained silent.

Although he doesn't usually live in a messy place, and even cleaned it last night, Jiang Cheng suddenly felt that everything was not right when he woke up this morning.

The windows were too dirty, the sofa was too old, and the floor wasn't shiny enough. In short, nothing about it was good.

He had originally planned to mop the floor again before Pei Xi arrived.

Seeing his expression, Pei Xi knew she had hit the nail on the head. She smiled helplessly and joked, "I'm not here to inspect hygiene. Are you afraid I'll deduct points from your score?"

Jiang Cheng's expression softened slightly. He took a half step back, bent down, took out a pair of pink slippers from the shoe rack, and placed them on the ground.

Pei Xi walked straight in, quickly took off his shoes, and then put on slippers.

The two performed the entire routine without uttering a single word, their movements so fluid it was as if they had done it countless times before.

Pei Xi walked into the house in slippers, held the bag in front of her face, and smiled at Jiang Cheng, "Ta-da, a belated housewarming gift."

She handed the bag over with both hands.

Jiang Cheng was taken aback, then reached out and took it.

Pei Xi looked up at him, and said with a sweet smile as if she were showing off a treasure, "It's a pair of cups. I carefully picked them out at the mall. They're very cute. Open them and see if you like them."

Jiang Cheng opened it, and inside were two white cups with pandas printed on them.

Pei Xi pointed and said, "I'll tell you a secret: the patterns on this will change color. If you pour hot water on it, the panda's dark circles will disappear."

She asked, "Isn't it cute?"

Jiang Cheng looked down at her, nodded with a smile in his eyes, and said, "Yes, cute."

He pointed to the sofa inside, "Go sit down first, I'll pour you a glass of water."

“Okay.” Pei Xi nodded, walked to the sofa and sat down, looking around the room.

The house is small with a panoramic view. It has one bedroom and one living room. Although the furniture and decoration are old, it is very clean and bright.

She glanced down at her side and noticed several books scattered on the coffee table. Judging from the titles on the covers, besides computer-related books, there were also some business books.

The book also looks a bit old; it might be a secondhand book that Jiang Cheng bought somewhere.

Or perhaps he had flipped through it many times.

The sound of running water came from the kitchen not far away. Pei Xi turned her head and saw Jiang Cheng's tall figure bent over, washing cups under the tap.

Pei Xi frowned, thinking about how to start the conversation subtly and get to the point.

She turned to look at Jiang Cheng in the kitchen and asked, "Are you reading a computer book? Are you planning to study a related major in college?"

Jiang Cheng hummed in agreement.

Pei Xi thought calmly that if one wanted to develop games, computer science or software engineering would indeed be the best choice.

She then asked, "So, which university do you want to go to? Is it Peking University?"

Jiang Cheng seemed to pause for a moment, then shook his head. "I haven't thought about it yet."

Pei Xi was startled.

Kyoto University is ranked number one in all aspects, so it's only natural that Jiang Cheng goes there.

What's there to think about?

She glanced at Jiang Cheng's profile, her premonition growing stronger.

But she couldn't directly say, "Don't give up Kyoto University for my sake."

They didn't say it out loud, so saying it like that is a bit too much...

As she was thinking, Jiang Cheng suddenly turned off the tap and asked her, "Which university do you want to go to?"

Pei Xi hesitated for two seconds, "My grades aren't bad either. I should be able to get into Yida University and Anda University."

She added, "I have an older brother I know who is currently at Ontario University."

Jiang Cheng paused as he reached for the kettle.

He picked up the kettle and poured warm water into the cup, listening to Pei Xi say as he poured, "I think you don't need to think about it. With your grades, Peking University should definitely be your first choice. There's nothing to hesitate about."
