During dinner that evening, Pei Xi told Pei Zhi about how she had become Jiang Cheng's second party.
Pei Zhi spat out a mouthful of soda.
He pulled out a tissue to wipe his mouth, then coughed for a long time, clutching his chest. "Pei Xi, are you kidding me?!"
“I’m serious.” Pei Xi picked up a piece of shrimp ball in tomato sauce and put it in her bowl, then looked up at Pei Zhi. “The contract is already signed.”

Jiang Cheng nodded. "Okay."
Jiang Shuyu replied in the group chat with her head down: "I'll have Jiang Cheng make one in a bit. If you have time, just come and pick it up."
Pei Xi quickly replied, "Okay."
