Chapter 130 You agreed to Jiang Shuyu's request, was it because...?

After Jiang Shuyu left, Jiang Cheng immediately took the key and went to the old man at the intersection to have a new key made.

Back in the studio, he was all alone. He typed a few lines of code, but his mind wasn't on it at all. He made several mistakes and eventually deleted it all.

Pei Xi hasn't said anything since he sent the message in the group.

I don't know when she will come.

Jiang Cheng leaned back in his chair, staring at the phone screen on the table.

It was pitch black, and there wasn't a sound.

He frowned. Should he take the initiative to ask?

Jiang Cheng hesitated for a long time, picked up his phone, and just as he unlocked it, his hand suddenly stopped.

He suddenly realized something.

He sat there restlessly, on high alert, for half a day.

—But Pei Xi never said she was coming to pick up the keys tonight.

Jiang Cheng closed his eyes and slammed his phone onto the table.

...What an idiot.

Pei Xi is most likely having dinner with Pei Zhi. After dinner, Pei Zhi should have taken her back to her dorm. Why would she be here getting her keys?

Jiang Cheng took a deep breath, chuckled softly, and realized that he had really lost his mind.

He felt a thin layer of sweat on his back. Jiang Cheng glanced at the old air conditioner that was working hard and thought that it really should be replaced.

Then he stood up, grabbed a change of clothes, and prepared to take a shower in the bathroom.

He showered quickly, in less than three to five minutes. After he finished, he dried himself off briefly with a towel, put on his T-shirt, and walked out. When he looked up, he suddenly saw someone standing by the sofa.

Jiang Cheng almost slipped and fell.

He quickly pulled down the clothes he was wearing halfway to cover his waist and abdomen.

"...When did you arrive?" he asked, looking at Pei Xi.

Pei Xi blinked, but did not answer immediately.

Her mind was filled with the image from just now: her bulging abdominal muscles like neatly arranged small hills, and her smooth, firm skin.

And it looks like there are water droplets clinging to his abs...

And her waist is incredibly thin...

Um, cough cough...

Pei Xi subtly snapped out of her reverie and pointed to the half-open door. "I just came in; the door wasn't closed."

Jiang Cheng: "".

He gave a somewhat awkward "hmm," then pulled out the towel from around his neck and dried his messy, wet hair.

Pei Xi's expression was calm, as if nothing had happened, and he said, "I'm here to get the keys."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Cheng paused, took the towel, walked to the table, and handed her the newly made key.

Pei Xi was taken aback when he received it.

Jiang Cheng gave her not a bare key, but a keychain with simple pink and white beads.

She pinched it and looked at it, then looked up at Jiang Cheng with some surprise.

Jiang Cheng said softly, "They sell them at the jewelry store near the school gate, so I just bought one."

“It looks pretty good,” Pei Xi said.

"I'm glad you like it."

Jiang Cheng smiled slightly. He turned to look outside the door, and after confirming that no one was there, he frowned slightly and asked, "Why didn't Pei Zhi come with you?"

Pei Xi said "Oh," and then added, "My brother brought me here. He said he would wait for me, but I told him to go back first."

Jiang Cheng was taken aback.

“Then I’ll take you back in a bit,” he said.

Pei Xi nodded. "Okay."

In fact, she made it sound so easy, but she had to coax and plead with Pei Zhi for quite a while to get him to agree to come alone.

"Then we..." Jiang Cheng hadn't finished speaking when his phone on the table rang urgently. He answered it, and a man's voice came through, "Hello, your takeout will be here soon. Is anyone home?"

"have."

"OK."

Just as he hung up the phone, there was a knock on the door. Jiang Cheng went over and saw that the deliveryman had arrived.

He took the takeout and brought it in. Pei Xi frowned when she saw the bag he was carrying. "It's already eight o'clock, and you haven't eaten yet?"

Jiang Cheng nodded.

Meeting Pei Xi's slightly serious gaze, he explained softly, "...I didn't feel hungry before."

Unexpectedly, Pei Xi's gaze became even more serious.

Just as Jiang Cheng was about to speak, Pei Xi said, "You should eat first, and then we'll leave."

He obediently nodded, "Mm."

Then he walked to the computer desk, opened the takeout bag. The takeout was something he had ordered randomly; it was a braised pork rice dish, which looked and tasted very ordinary.

As soon as she opened the box, Pei Xi walked over. She looked at the braised pork rice in the box and frowned slightly. "Is this all you're going to eat?"

Jiang Cheng paused slightly, then said, "Mm."

"Can this even taste good?" Pei Xi asked skeptically, looking at the dark, almost empty braised pork rice with only a few pieces of meat in the box, along with a few dry, blanched vegetables next to it.

Jiang Cheng reluctantly replied, "...It's alright."

Unexpectedly, Pei Xi suddenly picked up the disposable chopsticks on the table, opened the plastic packaging and said, "Then I'll try them."

Jiang Cheng quickly pushed the lunchbox away, his movements were incredibly swift.

Pei Xi paused, holding the chopsticks, and gave him a puzzled look.

"...I was afraid you wouldn't be used to the food," Jiang Cheng explained.

Pei Xi was speechless. "I'm not that pretentious. Let me try some."

After she finished speaking, she stretched her chopsticks forward, and Jiang Cheng quickly pushed them further away.

Pei Xi: "..."

"You dislike me?" Pei Xi paused for two seconds, then looked at his face and asked.

Jiang Cheng was about to deny it when Pei Xi said again, "Didn't you not mind before?"
