Chapter 155 I should have recognized you sooner

Pei Xi quickly raised her hand and rubbed her eyelids hard. She went out and saw that the living room was dark. In the dim light, a tall figure was standing at the door.

"Jiang Cheng?" she murmured.

Jiang Cheng hesitated and hummed in response. He seemed a little stunned, not expecting her to be here.

Pei Xi ran over quickly, hugged him tightly, wrapped her arms around his waist, and pressed her forehead against his chest.

“Ah Cheng.”

Her voice was trembling with tears.

Jiang Cheng stiffened, wanting to pull her away to see her face, his voice tinged with panic, "What's wrong?"

After a while, she asked, choking back tears, "Why didn't you tell me?"

Jiang Cheng remained silent.

Then, as if in resignation, he took a deep breath.

Pei Xi's tears fell in his silence.

The next second, she stood on tiptoe and kissed his lips.

The water droplets that landed on his lips also wet them.

"I'm sorry, I should have recognized you sooner," Pei Xi murmured, nestled against his neck. "I'm sorry."

Jiang Cheng suddenly tightened his arms around her, as if he wanted to squeeze her into his very bones.

Pei Xi nuzzled his warm skin and continued, "Ah Cheng, the past is the past. We're together now, and from now on, it'll all be good days."
