Chapter 36 Wrapping her arms around his waist

But after a few minutes, she felt her hands getting sore.

With nowhere else to put her hands on the car, she had to continue in that position.

The car then turned a corner and entered a slightly sloping side road.

Even though the car wasn't going fast, the inertia of going downhill carried Pei Xi's body forward instinctively. She didn't have time to think and let go of Jiang Cheng's arm to hug his waist.

At the same time, Jiang Cheng's back suddenly stiffened.

He glanced down at his hands at his waist and tightened his grip on the handlebars.

Pei Xi lifted the visor of his helmet and whispered behind Jiang Cheng's ear, "I need to hold on to you, otherwise I won't be able to hold on."

Jiang Cheng was taken aback. He had never given anyone a ride on his bicycle before and had completely forgotten about it.

He grunted in agreement, then released his right hand and used his other hand to fasten the windshield for her.

He was wearing very thin clothes, just an ordinary sweatshirt, which was open at the waist. The wind billowed the clothes, leaving only a thin T-shirt under his stomach.

The arm around his waist was very prominent, like a vine tightly wrapped around him.

He could even feel the warmth emanating from Pei Xi's hand.

Jiang Cheng felt all the muscles in his body completely stiffen, as hard as iron.

The slope was quite steep, so he dared not speed up and could only drive at a steady pace. The journey, which took only a few minutes, felt like torture to him.

What he didn't know was that the arms around his waist hadn't moved an inch from beginning to end.

Pei Xi hadn't expected his clothes to be so thin, so thin that she could feel his lean waist and the firm, hard muscles on it.

Just by wrapping his arms around him through his clothes, you could tell he had a great physique.

Pei Xi felt the warmth emanating from his body and dared not move, maintaining the same posture.

I felt a sweat pouring down my forehead from inside the helmet.

The car finally arrived at the entrance of Pei Xi's residential complex after turning a traffic light.

The two unsuspecting individuals breathed a sigh of relief.

Jiang Cheng stopped the car, and Pei Xi let go of his hand, helping him out of the car by the shoulder.

She was in a hurry to take off her helmet, but the buckle was fastened very tightly, and she couldn't see it. She tried to pry it open a few times but couldn't get it to work.

"Don't move, I'll help you," Jiang Cheng said softly when he saw her.

He got out of the car, stood in front of her, and bent down to help her unfasten the clasp.

With a click, he held the helmet and helped Pei Xi take it off.

She wore her hair in a low ponytail today. After taking off her helmet, her long hair was a mess, falling in all directions, with a few strands sticking to her forehead from sweat.

Jiang Cheng subconsciously reached out, wanting to tuck a stray lock of hair sticking up on her head.

The moment my hand touched my hair, I heard an exasperated and incredulous voice from nearby: "What the hell are you doing?!"
