Chapter 40 Far Away Yet So Close at Hand



After saying that, he pointed in a direction not far away.

Pei Xi looked over and saw several students standing there, watching with wide smiles, as if they were enjoying the spectacle.

The boy in front of her continued, "Otherwise they'll laugh at me, could you help me...?"

"She has a boyfriend."

A cold voice rang out.

The two people sitting down looked over at the same time.

Pei Xi looked up and found that Jiang Cheng had walked over and was standing next to her at some point.

He looked down at the boy, his eyes filled with obvious displeasure.

The boy was already shy, and when he saw Jiang Cheng, he lowered his head even further, not caring about the risks involved, and ran away with his head down.

Pei Xi didn't look at him, but just stared blankly at Jiang Cheng.

I was momentarily stunned.

"You..." She started to speak, but Jiang Cheng interrupted her, "You just taught me."

He said it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"That should be tactful enough, and won't hurt him," Jiang Cheng shrugged.

That's what they said, but their tone suggested the exact opposite.

It seems they'd love to hurt him.

Pei Xi paused, then murmured softly, "I meant when others asked you... they didn't ask you to refuse for me..."

Jiang Cheng paused for a moment, "You want to add him?"

“Of course not!” Pei Xi immediately waved his hand.

From childhood to adulthood, she has never actively sought to add any boy as a friend.

Oh, wait, there's one exception.

Moreover, it's both far away and right before our eyes.
