Chapter 41 What are you drawing?

Does this mean he will really go down this path in the future?

Pei Xi was a little stunned. She hadn't dreamed in a long time, but things would always happen in reality that made her subconsciously associate them with those dreams.

"Are you very interested in computers?" Pei Xi asked, his tone slightly probing.

Jiang Cheng shook his head.

She heard him speak, his tone somewhat casual: "I wouldn't say I like him, I just want to get to know him."

For some reason, Pei Xi felt a sense of relief upon hearing those words.

Jiang Cheng was probably just glancing at it casually.

After all, he's a science student, so it's normal for him to be interested in these things.

People began to arrive at the stall one after another. Pei Xi stopped chatting and put these messy thoughts to the back of his mind. He set up his small drawing board and began to prepare to draw.

There were even more people on the weekend than yesterday, and Pei Xi painted one picture after another, hardly having a moment to spare.

They continued painting until the sun began to set, and the light of the setting sun bathed the entire night market in a golden glow.

Pei Xi was finally able to relax.

Looking at the dolls on the stall, I realized that most of them had already been sold, so today's turnover should be quite considerable.

Pei Xi rubbed his neck and surprisingly didn't feel tired at all; instead, he felt a sense of fulfillment.

It feels so good to earn money on your own.

Moreover, she felt that her drawing skills had improved.

It's a win-win situation.

She turned her head to look at Jiang Cheng, who was standing next to her, tidying up the remaining dolls that had been messed up by the customers.

The setting sun shone on him, outlining his profile perfectly with golden light, and his entire body was bathed in a soft halo, even his slender fingers.

Pei Xi unconsciously picked up the pen and made a stroke on the drawing paper.

When Pei Xi starts painting, he seems to be immersed in his own world, completely focused and absorbed.

After he finished drawing, a voice suddenly came: "What are you drawing?"

Pei Xi was startled and instinctively shoved the drawing paper onto her knees.

When she looked up, Jiang Cheng was still quite a distance away, sitting in his chair.

Pei Xi loosened his grip on the paintbrush and breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing the frightened look on her face, Jiang Cheng frowned slightly and asked, "Did I scare you?"

Pei Xi pursed her lips and forced a smile. "No."

He added, "It's nothing...just some random drawing."

Jiang Cheng nodded and continued reading his book.

Pei Xi openly stared at his profile, then added several more strokes, completing the painting in his hand.

She lifted the painting slightly, placing it at the same level as Jiang Cheng. His sharp features were softened by the yellow halo, giving him a gentle yet profound look.

Then, she picked up her phone and quietly took a picture.

The painting is in the foreground, and the person is in the background. Both profiles are so beautiful that it's hard to tell whether the person is leaping off the paper or the painting is stepping out of it.

Pei Xi looked at the photo with satisfaction and put the painting into his backpack.
