Pei Xi realized the problem and suddenly paused for a moment.
Before I could think about it, my phone suddenly chimed with a text message.
Pei Xi took it out and glanced at it. It was a message from Pei Zhi, saying that he had already left the school and was heading back.
Her expression instantly hardened. She put the small board into her bag and began packing her things. "My brother is going home. I have to go now."
She packed up quickly and neatly, then slung her bag over her shoulder, looked up at Jiang Cheng and said, "Tomorrow is the weekend, I'll come early so I can spend more time with you."
She smiled, waved to him, and said, "Bye-bye."
"Okay," Jiang Cheng said. "See you tomorrow."
After watching Pei Xi's figure disappear into the distance, Jiang Cheng sat back down in his seat.
He was the only one left at the stall.
He picked up a book and started reading.
It was a book about computer programming languages, which he had already read once and remembered about 90% of.
One of the benefits of the times is that there are fewer and fewer barriers to accessing information, and you can easily learn whatever you want.
Jiang Cheng was engrossed in his book, completely unaffected by the noise around him.
As the post-school rush gradually subsided, people occasionally came over to inquire about prices. Jiang Cheng would respond with a single sentence and then continue reading intently.
He must seize every opportunity to study.

It was much faster to get home from the night market than from the basketball court where Pei Zhi played. When Pei Xi got home, Pei Zhi hadn't gone back yet.
She breathed a sigh of relief, went back to her room to change her clothes, took a shower, and was drying her hair when she heard the door close outside.
She went outside and saw Pei Zhi throw his school uniform and schoolbag on the ground, then plop down on the sofa.
His hair was blown about by the wind, falling haphazardly all over his head, looking as messy as a frizzy little dog.
However, it doesn't diminish his handsome looks at all.
Even if a handsome guy's hair is messy, it's still a kind of messy beauty.
Pei Xi walked over, looked at the handsome man on the sofa who looked exhausted, and asked with a smile, "How was your training today?"
"It's alright," Pei Zhi said succinctly, pursing his lips.
He could never hide his feelings on his face. Pei Xi could tell from his stern face and low spirits that "okay" meant "not so good".
Looking down, I saw a flesh-colored plaster wrapped around his wrist.
No wonder she could smell a faint scent of Chinese medicine in the air.
A hint of worry flashed in Pei Xi's eyes. He walked over and sat down next to Pei Zhi, asking, "Haven't you found a suitable person yet?"
Pei Zhi shook his head and snorted, "It's a long story."
Don't be fooled by how they all love to dribble around with a ball, even during the ten-minute break between classes. They'll even make a shooting motion at thin air while walking down the street.
Now that the real test has begun, we realize they're all lousy bastards.
None of them are reliable.
Pei Xi pursed her lips, glanced at Pei Zhi's expression, and hesitantly said, "Why don't you go find him..."
"Stop!" Pei Zhi suddenly sat up straight, looking at Pei Xi and emphasizing each word clearly, "I will absolutely not beg him!"
Pei Xi: "".
...She hadn't even mentioned Jiang Cheng's name once, yet Pei Zhi reacted so strongly.
What does this tell us?
This precisely shows that Pei Zhi was also thinking about him.
But he just kept his mouth shut.
Pei Xi continued to probe indirectly, "...It wouldn't exactly be considered asking for something, would it?"
"How can it not count?" Pei Zhi's eyebrows furrowed into a knot as he retorted loudly, "If I were to take the initiative to go to him, wouldn't that be the same as telling him that I can't live without him!"
Pei Zhi paused for two seconds, then gritted his teeth and said, "I am determined not to go."
For some reason, he just wanted to prove himself. In his view, taking the initiative to go to Jiang Cheng was tantamount to admitting defeat.
He's not going.
This is a matter of great importance concerning dignity.
"I'm going back to my room to study," Pei Zhi suddenly stood up and said to Pei Xi.
After saying that, he bent down, picked up his schoolbag from the ground, and carried it upstairs.
He hasn't forgotten the bet he made last time that he would surpass Jiang Cheng in the next exam.
Thinking of this, Pei Zhi strode up the stairs, his back view showing more determination than anyone else's.
Pei Xi watched him disappear at the top of the stairs, then relaxed her back and leaned back on the sofa.
She could tell that Pei Zhi was holding back his pride and didn't want to back down.
For teenagers of this age, saving face is more important than anything else.
Moreover, he is the type who responds better to gentle persuasion than force, so when he clashes with Jiang Cheng, it's a true battle of wits.
Both of them were incredibly tough.
Pei Xi sighed softly.
Tsk, this is really difficult.

The next day, Pei Xi arrived at the night market early.
The night market was much more crowded than usual on weekends, with most vendors starting business as early as noon. When Pei Xi arrived, Jiang Cheng was already there.
He was sitting by the stall, holding a book and reading.
Pei Xi glanced at it; it was full of symbols she couldn't understand. She frowned and asked, "What are you looking at?"
Jiang Cheng closed the book, shook his head, and said, "It's nothing, just some computer books."
Pei Xi glanced at the cover, then paused, as if struck by a thought.
In his dream, Jiang Cheng earned his first pot of gold by designing and developing games, then founded his own game company. Later, the company developed a national game, and he suddenly became a rising star in the tech world.
And he's reading a computer book right now...
