What could Chapter 16 possibly have to do with the little princess?

After returning home, Pei Xi had an unusual insomnia that night.

She covered herself with the blanket, staring at the pale white ceiling, desperately trying to recall her last dream.

In a hazy state, she remembered that the woman in her dream seemed to have screamed something.

Do you know why I named you this?

I'm telling you, I'm going to make you experience all the suffering in this world!

bear...

Jiang Cheng...

Pei Xi subconsciously made the connection, and goosebumps instantly rose on his arm.

No wonder those dark, calm eyes in her dream felt so familiar...

Those eyes were indeed exactly the same as Jiang Cheng's.

Once her memory opened up, images from her dreams and reality began to flash through her mind.

It contains Jiang Cheng in different ages and different states.

Reason told her that all of this could only be a ridiculous dream, but the series of coincidences in reality seemed to be telling her that what she dreamed was real.

Pei Xi's heart was pounding like a drum. She shook her head and took a few deep breaths.

She closed her eyes tightly, gripping the corner of the blanket tightly to suppress her chaotic thoughts.

She thought, "Things shouldn't happen more than three times."

If she continues to dream of things she doesn't know, and those dreams come true.

So she chose to believe this utterly absurd fact.

That is it.

Her dreams all came true.

She can dream about Jiang Cheng's past and future.

Before this, everything was just speculation.

Jiang Cheng... is just Pei Zhi's classmate.

With this in mind, Pei Xi resumed good sleep in the following days, and following the principle of letting nature take its course, stopped overthinking.

But when I go to sleep at night, I always have a little bit of anticipation, hoping to dream about Jiang Cheng and then check it out when I wake up.

But for several days in a row, her sleep quality was surprisingly good.

I sleep soundly until dawn every day, without having a single dream.

Not only did she not see Jiang Cheng in her dreams, but she also never even met him at school.

And so it went until the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, Pei Xi was lying in bed looking at his phone when a message popped up on his phone. It was from Shen Miaoyi.

"Xixi, I wrote a demo myself. Can you listen to it and tell me how I sing it?"

Immediately afterwards, another video popped up on the other end.

Pei Xi clicked on it, and inside was a cover video of Shen Miaoyi. The video showed her upper body, only her collarbone was visible. She was sitting on the bed, holding a wooden guitar in her arms.

"I am the passing of time, with an unyielding spirit..."

"Whether it's a sharp rock or a raging river, it keeps moving forward on its own..."

The clear, spring-like voice murmured softly, like a gentle stream caressing the ear, instantly purifying it.

Pei Xi listened to it several times in a row.

She excitedly typed a reply to Shen Miaoyi, "It's really good, really great, it sounds so good!"

She continued, "I think this song has the potential to become a hit, and my daughter Miaomiao is sure to become a million-follower blogger in the future."

Shen Miaoyi replied with a shy emoji.

A few seconds later, she asked again, "By the way, did you sign up for that chemistry competition the teacher mentioned last time? I'm at Grandma's shop right now, and I just overheard some other students from No. 1 Middle School discussing the competition."

Upon seeing this sentence, Pei Xi jumped up from the bed.

She's had so many things on her mind these past few days that she completely forgot about this!

She quickly typed to Shen Miaoyi, "Oh no, I forgot."

Shen Miaoyi immediately reassured her, "It's alright, there should still be time. Check the registration deadline."

Pei Xi quickly went to look at the competition registration notice sent by the teacher, and after seeing the date, she felt a wave of fear wash over her.

The deadline is 5 PM today!

She glanced at the time on her phone screen; it was almost two o'clock!

Pei Xi immediately put on his shoes and got out of bed, then suddenly realized something—his laptop was still being repaired at the shop.

She stood still for two seconds, just about to borrow Pei Zhi's, when she suddenly remembered that he had gone out to play ball with Shi Chen after finishing his meal.

I quickly took out my phone to call him, but no one answered. He was probably playing on the court right now.

Pei Xi thought for a while and decided to go out and find an internet cafe to register his name.

Pei Xi quickly changed his clothes, put on his shoes, and went out.

She had never been to an internet cafe before and didn't know where there was one nearby, so she simply hailed a taxi and asked the driver to drop her off at any internet cafe.

After driving for a few minutes, the driver stopped in front of a place called "Big Fish Internet Cafe".

The internet cafe's sign featured a huge shark with its eyes gleaming with an eerie green light.

The words "Big Fish Internet Cafe" were printed in gold lettering on the fish's body, which was incredibly tacky and completely lacked any aesthetic sense.

Pei Xi stood at the door, looking up at the plaque. He hesitated for a few seconds, a hint of difficulty appearing on his face.

But time waits for no one. She glanced around the doorway for a moment, then steeled herself and went inside.

The receptionist was a thin young man with yellow highlights, who was eating instant noodles with his head down.

Pei Xi leaned over the counter and called out to him, "Hello, could you turn on a computer for me?"

Upon hearing this, the skinny boy raised his head, his eyes already wide open before he even finished chewing the instant noodles in his mouth.

Pei Xi didn't tie her hair up today; her smooth black hair draped over her shoulders, making her face look even smaller and whiter.

With her delicate features, she seemed completely out of place in this environment.

The skinny guy was stunned for a long time before he finally reacted. He quickly bit off the instant noodles in his mouth, wiped the grease off his mouth with a tissue, and asked in a daze, "How many hours does it need to be charged?"
