Chapter 30 now has a different menu.
The car came to a smooth stop in the temporary parking space opposite the Shang Group building.
This is a spot that driver Lao Chen knows very well. Every time the young master comes back from abroad, he always asks him to park the car here.
He glanced at the young master in the back seat through the rearview mirror for the third time.
For the past three years, this scene has been repeated every time the young master returns to China.
At first, Old Chen would ask out of curiosity, "Is the young master waiting for someone?" He would always get a faint smile and a "just looking."
Later, he learned to be silent.
Lin Chengyu leaned back in his leather chair, his gaze fixed on the building's glass revolving doors.
Since picking him up from the airport, he has only said "Go to the Shang Group" and hasn't spoken again.
As the last rays of the setting sun streamed in through the car window, Old Chen noticed faint dark circles under the young master's eyes, clearly indicating that he hadn't rested well during the long flight.
But the light dancing in those phoenix eyes was brighter than ever before.
"Young Master, should I go and inquire about it..." Old Chen tentatively asked.
"No need." Lin Chengyu's voice was soft, yet carried an undeniable gentleness. "Just wait here."
Old Chen wisely shut his mouth.
He drove for the Lin family for twenty years, watching the young master grow from a baby into the elegant young nobleman he is today.
The young master is always gentle and polite, but Old Chen knows better than anyone his stubbornness.
White-collar workers kept pouring out of the revolving door as they left work.
Lin Chengyu leaned forward slightly, and whenever a woman in business attire appeared, his fingers would unconsciously tighten.
At 7:45, the crowd in the building gradually thinned out.
At 8:50, the lights in the Shang family's house were turned off one by one.
Lin Chengyu maintained his upright posture, but the lines of his neck were even more taut.
"Young master, would you like me to...?"
"Wait a little longer," Lin Chengyu interrupted him, his voice still steady.
At 10:00 AM sharp, the building security guards began locking the main entrance.
Lin Chengyu finally moved his stiff shoulders and said softly, "Let's go back."
Old Chen quickly started the car and couldn't help but glance at the rearview mirror again.
The young master in the mirror was gazing out the window, his face, which always wore an elegant smile, was now expressionless.
"Young Master?" Old Chen asked hesitantly.
"Thank you for your hard work, Uncle Chen," Lin Chengyu said.
He said this with a smile on his lips, but Old Chen could clearly see that in the reflection of the car window, the young master's eyes were even deeper than the night.
As the car entered the driveway of the Lin family villa, Lin Chengyu straightened his collar and resumed his impeccable gentlemanly demeanor.

When Shangqiu Zhu got home from get off work, the motion-sensor light in the entryway automatically turned on when she opened the door.
He loosened his tie and looked down at the dining table, where Yan Shuang's breakfast from that morning was still untouched.
The bacon had solidified into a layer of white grease, the scrambled eggs had become shriveled, and the edges of the avocado slices had oxidized and turned yellow.
The villa was so quiet that you could hear the central air conditioning running.
Shangqiu Zhu walked towards the bedroom, intending to change her clothes, but stopped the moment she opened the door.
A small, human-shaped mound bulged in the center of the large bed.
Yan Shuang was completely enveloped in the down comforter, with only a tuft of black hair sticking up visible.
The curtains were drawn, the mineral water bottle on the bedside table was empty, and the cap had rolled to one side.
Shangqiu Zhu raised an eyebrow, walked to the bedside, and pulled back the corner of the blanket.
Yan Shuang curled up in a baby-like position, her cheek pressed against his pillow, her lips slightly parted, her breathing long and even.
She was still wearing his gray shirt, but it was all wrinkled and the hem was rolled up to her waist.
Shangqiu Zhu glanced at his watch; it was 10:20 PM.
Yan Shuang wrinkled her nose in her sleep and unconsciously rubbed against the pillow.
He then noticed a red mark on her right cheek, probably from maintaining the same posture for too long.
A strand of hair was stuck to the corner of her mouth, and he reached out and brushed it away.
The moment his fingertips touched her skin, Yan Shuang suddenly moved.
Shangqiu Zhu thought she was about to wake up, but she just turned over, buried her face in the pillow, and made whimpering sounds like a small animal.
As she moved, the hem of her shirt slid to one side, completely exposing her bare waist and hip curves.
She was almost completely naked.
Shangqiu Zhu's gaze lingered for a moment.
He had just gotten home from get off work, but now he felt a surge of heat rising from his lower abdomen.
"......"
He loosened his tie and suddenly felt that the room temperature was too high.
The mattress sank slightly under his weight, and Yan Shuang unconsciously moved closer to the heat source, letting out a muffled murmur.
"...President Shang?" Yan Shuang mumbled half-asleep, her eyes still closed.
Shangqiu Zhu leaned down, "Awake?"
Yan Shuang shook her head and instinctively tilted her head back, giving him more space to touch her.
Shang Qiuzhu's eyes darkened. He slowly unbuttoned his cufflinks, followed by the soft click of his belt buckle and the rustling of his trousers falling to the ground.
Yan Shuang finally opened her eyes. Through her blurry vision, she saw Shang Qiuzhu unbuttoning his shirt one button at a time, revealing his familiar chest.
"What time is it..." she asked in a hoarse voice, heavy with sleepiness.
“It’s time for a late-night snack.” Shang Qiuzhu knelt on one knee on the mattress, her shadow looming over her. “But there are other menus available now.”
Yan Shuang finally regained full consciousness, her eyes wide as she watched him approach naked: "Wait, I haven't..."
All protests were swallowed up in a kiss.
Shangqiu Zhu's hand slipped under the rolled-up hem of her shirt and pressed directly against her waist.
"You...didn't you say...we'd eat...?" Yan Shuang protested intermittently.
Shangqiu Zhu's kiss continued downwards: "We're eating."
Outside the window, the night was still.
The bedroom fell into darkness, with only the increasingly heavy, staggered breathing sounds remaining.
When the crumpled shirt was kicked to the corner of the bed, Yan Shuang vaguely remembered that she seemed to have forgotten something.
She blinked, her voice hoarse: "...What time is it?"
"Eleven o'clock, please."
Yan Shuang's eyes widened: "Wait, what day of the week is it today?"
"It's still Thursday." Shang Qiuzhu paused deliberately. "You only missed one quarterly report meeting, three client meetings, and..."
"Aaaaah!" Yan Shuang screamed, "Why didn't you call me...?"
"Focus." He pinched her chin and lowered his waist.
