Chapter 33 What type of girl does Shuangshuang like?

Yan Shuang rubbed her slightly sore neck, glanced at the time in the lower right corner of her computer, and was about to order takeout to continue working on the Nancheng project documents in her hand.

The phone vibrated, and Zhou Yaqin's voice, with its usual cheerful tone, came from the other end: "Shuangshuang, are you still at the company? You haven't forgotten about the horse farm gathering tomorrow, have you? Mom and my sister are about to leave, do you want us to give you a ride?"

Yan Shuang pinched the bridge of her nose, instinctively wanting to refuse: "Mom, I still have some work to finish, maybe..."

Halfway through her sentence, her gaze swept over the preliminary plan for the "South City Project" on the corner of the table, and a thought suddenly struck her.

A gathering at the horse farm... Shangqiu Zhu was also there.

If she could bring the materials with her and find a suitable opportunity to express her determination and initial ideas, perhaps...

With that thought in mind, she changed her mind, "No need to trouble yourself, I can drive there myself."

Zhou Yaqin seemed to pause for a moment on the other end, but quickly regained her smile: "Oh, that's good then. Drive carefully and be safe on the road."

"Okay," Yan Shuang replied, then hung up the phone.

She immediately got back to work, quickly organizing the core information of the "South City Project" into a folder, and checked the computer and power bank again to ensure everything was in order.

When she rushed to the underground parking lot with her laptop bag and document bag, she was already quite late.

She walked quickly to her parking space, wondering which route she could take to avoid the evening rush hour.

However, just as she was about to reach her car, she unexpectedly caught a glimpse of a familiar black Bentley parked quietly not far away.

The car windows were closed, but Yan Shuang recognized it as Shang Qiuzhu's car at a glance.

What's he doing here? Shouldn't he have been at the horse farm by now?

Yan Shuang paused, puzzled.

At that moment, the rear window rolled down unexpectedly, revealing Shangqiu Zhu's well-defined profile.

He seemed to be looking straight ahead, without turning his head, and simply uttered two words: "Get in the car."

Yan Shuang was taken aback for a moment, then quickly realized what was happening. She hurried over, bent down slightly, and asked through the car window, "President Shang? Are you... going to the horse farm?"

Shangqiu Zhu then turned his head, his gaze sweeping across her face, his eyes seeming to say, "You know the answer already."

Yan Shuang immediately smiled and readily opened the car door and got in. "Thank you, President Shang!"

That's perfect, she won't have to drive herself anymore.

The car drove smoothly out of the parking lot.

Yan Shuang thought he wanted to talk about work, but after waiting for a long time, Shang Qiuzhu didn't say a word. He just lowered his eyes to deal with the documents and didn't even spare her a glance.

She was happy to relax and turned to look out the window.

A black Bentley drove into the Shang family's private horse farm.

As soon as the vehicle came to a stop, a waiter respectfully stepped forward and opened the car door.

Shangqiu Zhu was the first to get off the bus, her tall and straight figure appearing even more elegant and aloof in the night.

Yan Shuang got out of the car behind him. As soon as she landed, she looked up and saw Shang's parents, her sister Yan You, Zhou Yaqin and Yan Zhenye. Almost everyone had arrived, but their eyes were all turned towards them, or rather, towards Shang Qiuzhu who was walking in front of her.

Indeed, he has always been the true heart of this gathering.

She immediately slowed her pace, creating some distance between herself and Shangqiu Zhu, and lowered her head slightly to minimize her presence.

While they were exchanging pleasantries, Yan Shuang quickly scanned the entire restaurant terrace and sat down in the seat furthest from the head of the table.

At one end of the table, Yan You was smiling as she served food to Mrs. Shang, saying, "Auntie, eat more. I heard that this truffle steamed egg is especially good for the skin."

Mrs. Shang smiled and patted Yan You's hand: "Youyou is so thoughtful, much better than Qiu Zhu."

Yan You's cheeks flushed slightly, and she glanced shyly at Shang Qiuzhu, but he remained indifferent.

At the other end of the table, Yan Shuang was intently peeling shrimp, completely oblivious to everything around her.

Suddenly, Mrs. Shang changed the subject: "Speaking of which, now that Youyou's marriage is settled, shouldn't we be worrying about Shuangshuang next?"

Zhou Yaqin immediately chimed in, "That's right, this child is introverted and doesn't like to socialize, it's driving me crazy." She smiled and looked at Madam Shang, "If Madam Shang has any suitable young talents, you must keep an eye out for Shuangshuang."

Mrs. Shang nodded with a smile, looking at Yan Shuang with loving eyes: "What type does Shuang Shuang like? Auntie will help you find one."

The dining table fell silent.

Yan Shuang smiled politely: "I don't have any requirements, as long as it's pleasing to the eye."

"What kind of answer is this?" Zhou Yaqin frowned, her tone slightly reproachful: "You child, Aunt Shang is concerned about you, why are you being so perfunctory?"

Yan Shuang pursed her lips, knowing she couldn't handle it, so she put down her spoon and thought seriously for a few seconds.

“I like…” she said calmly, her gaze sweeping lightly across the dining table before finally settling on a crystal chandelier in the distance, “gentle, considerate, and cheerful.”

Mrs. Shang chuckled, looked at her son, and then at Yan Shuang: "It seems that the older sister and the younger sister have different tastes."

Each of the three words is the complete opposite of Shangqiu bamboo.

Upon hearing this, Yan You immediately took Mrs. Shang's arm in a coquettish manner and said, "Auntie, please don't make fun of me."

Yan Shuang lowered her head and continued drinking her soup, but when she inadvertently looked up, she unexpectedly met Shang Qiuzhu's unfathomable eyes.

But only for a moment, he looked away, as if the eye contact just now was only her imagination.

After the meal, everyone moved to the hall for tea.

After Yan Shuang finished using the restroom, she didn't go straight back.

She pushed open the French windows and stepped into the garden in the night.

In front of the floor-to-ceiling window in the second-floor lounge, Shang Qiuzhu was holding her phone, listening to the investment department manager report on the project's progress.

The slender figure walked to a clump of white roses, suddenly squatted down, and focused her gaze on a butterfly that had landed on a leaf.

Shangqiu Zhu couldn't see her expression, but she saw her extend her finger, then retract it just before touching the butterfly's wing, and simply watch quietly.

A moment later, he dialed Yan Shuang's number.

In the garden, Yan Shuang's phone vibrated.

"Come up to the second-floor lounge," his voice came through the receiver. "There's an email I need to confirm."

Yan Shuang rolled her eyes in the darkness and reluctantly asked, "Now?"

"Now."

After hanging up the phone, Shangqiu Zhu glanced at the butterfly again.

It has already flapped its wings and flown away, disappearing into the night.

Yan Shuang walked up to the second floor on the soft carpet. The corridor was dimly lit, and the closed doors on both sides made it difficult for her to find the location of the lounge.

Just as she was about to ask someone, the door beside her suddenly opened silently.

Shangqiu Zhu stood inside the door, glanced at her, and turned to walk inside.

Yan Shuang pursed her lips and followed him inside.

"Close the door," he said without turning his head.

Yan Shuang's fingers were still on the doorknob when she hesitated for a second.

But in the end, she gently closed the door tightly.

The room was quiet, with only the ticking of an antique clock.

"What email?" Yan Shuang broke the silence first, her voice deliberately maintaining a businesslike calm.

Shangqiu Zhu didn't speak, but simply gestured with his chin toward the computer on the table.

Yan Shuang hesitated for a moment, then walked over and stood in front of the computer, but dared not sit down directly. She could only bend down slightly to look at the screen.

Shangqiu Zhu stood in front of the wine cabinet, slowly pouring the amber liquid into a glass.

Yan Shuang leaned forward slightly, the fabric of her dress tightening at her lower back, revealing a slender waist that seemed so small it could be encircled by a single hand, yet suddenly blossoming into a full, curvaceous shape at the junction of her waist and hips. The forward lean lowered the V-neck opening, revealing a hint of alluring shadow that rose and fell gently with her breath.

Her curvaceous figure was on full display under the lights.

He tilted the bottle in his hand slightly, pouring in an extra finger's width of liquid.

Yan Shuang quickly glanced at the email. "President Shang, do you think this approach is acceptable?"

She turned around and found his gaze fixed on her, so deep and unsettling.

Yan Shuang took a slight step back without making a sound.

Shangqiu Zhu walked over, his tall figure looming over her. He quickly finished reading and said, "Hmm."

Confirmed.

Task completed.

"If there's nothing else, I'll head down now," Yan Shuang said quickly, turning to leave immediately.

With a slight effort, Shangqiu Zhu pulled her back. He sat on the desk and chair she dared not touch, wrapped his arms around her waist, and easily lifted her up, placing her directly on his lap.

"Shangqiu Zhu!" Yan Shuang exclaimed in panic, bracing herself against his firm chest with both hands, trying to create some distance between them.

His lips were already pressing down, but she abruptly turned her head away, and the kiss landed on her cheek.

Her voice trembled slightly: "Are you crazy?! The downstairs area is full of..."

But her unfinished words were completely swallowed up by his next kiss.

Yan Shuang's body was stiff as she nervously tried to catch any possible footsteps outside the door, her heart pounding so hard it felt like it would burst out of her chest.

In stark contrast to her is the bamboo of Shangqiu.

He was deeply slumped in the large leather seat, one hand firmly gripping the back of her head, the other still wrapped around her waist, pressing her tightly against him.

There was no unease on that handsome face, only a sense of unbridled arrogance.

He even lazily adjusted his posture, turning his head slightly to allow himself to kiss her more deeply.

When does he ever need to consider others when he does things?

The opinions of others and the rumors that might arise are trivial matters that are never within his consideration.

Rules are made for the weak, but he has always been the one who makes the rules.

The intense flavor of the whiskey lingered on her lips and teeth, mingling with the rose scent of her lipstick.

Her back went numb, and her knees involuntarily buckled at his side.

He gently sucked on her lower lip, his palm sliding down her waistline, giving it a pinch. "Don't tremble."

She tilted her head back to receive his increasingly uncontrollable kisses, her earrings swaying with his movements, and heard Yan You's charming laughter coming from downstairs.

"No..."

She suddenly woke up, panting, and tried to push his shoulder, but he grabbed her wrist and pressed her against the back of the leather chair.

Yan You was sitting on the velvet sofa in the lobby on the first floor, showing photos on her phone to Mrs. Shang, her face beaming with smiles.

The shopkeeper's mother beamed and patted her hand, saying, "Our Youyou is so beautiful."

Before he could finish speaking, a soft thud came from upstairs.

Yan You's ears twitched, and just as she was about to listen more closely, Madam Shang suddenly smiled and handed her a plate of snacks: "Here, try this."

No one noticed that at this moment, in the second-floor lounge, Yan Shuang was pressed against the floor-to-ceiling window, and the glass behind her was covered with a thin layer of fog due to her body heat.

Shangqiu Zhu's kisses grew stronger, and he hooked his hand around the hem of her silk shirt, lifting it up abruptly.

Yan Shuang hurriedly grabbed his mischievous hand, "Be gentle! What am I going to wear if you tear my clothes?"

He lowered his eyes, and Yan Shuangxue's fair cheeks were already flushed. She bit her lower lip and glared at him, her eyes sparkling with a hint of anger.

Shangqiu Zhu's eyes darkened, his Adam's apple bobbed as he leaned down and gently kissed her lips.

He unbuckled his belt with one hand, while using the other hand to gently unbutton the remaining buttons on her clothes.

50 minutes later.

Shangqiu Zhu slowly walked down the spiral staircase, her expression calm and composed, even more aloof than usual.

He changed into a dark gray casual outfit, and his body smelled faintly of shower gel.

"Qiu Zhu." Yan You put down her teacup, greeted him with a sweet smile, "Why did you suddenly take a shower?"

"It's hot." He didn't even look up.

Ten minutes later, Yan Shuang came down the stairs at the entrance of the garden.

Her hair was neatly combed back into place, and even the top button of her shirt was fastened tightly.

The only difference was that the lip color was much lighter than before.
