Ashamed for him

Ashamed for him

Late at night, the three of them came to a 24-hour Cantonese restaurant.

After ordering, Zhuang Jinghao asked excitedly, "Are you free tomorrow afternoon?"

Zuo Xiao thought to himself that as an unemployed person, he lacked everything, not just time, so he asked, "What suggestions do you have?"

"Hehe..." Zhuang Jinghao grinned, "My brother and I are planning to go to Si Rui's music training school. They're having a small concert, with instrument teachers and outstanding students performing together, and there's even a live competition. It's really interesting! Do you want to come and see it?"

Hearing Liang Sirui's name, Zuo Xiao subconsciously looked at Zhuang Yu'an. This wooden-staffed man usually pretended to be flawless, even she was almost fooled by him. She had never expected Liang Sirui to see through his secret love. She was a little curious: Did Liang Sirui know who this taciturn man was secretly in love with?

She curled her lips and smiled: "Okay."

The car stopped at the side of the road, and Zhuang Jinghao was the first to unbuckle herself. She helped Zuo Xiao out of the car, then bent over to get her cane and handed it to her. Zhuang Yu'an came over with his bag and said gently, "We'll take you inside."

The night was chilly, and Zuo Xiaogang sneezed twice as she reached the gate of the residential complex. She had overestimated the temperature and was wearing only a long-sleeved dress.

"Put on some clothes, don't catch a cold." Zhuang Yu'an's gentle voice came. Turning around, he was holding a beige shirt in his hand, with only a white short-sleeved T-shirt on his upper body.

"No need, we'll be there soon." Zuo Xiao subconsciously refused, but she didn't expect Zhuang Jinghao to be so quick to take the shirt and put it on her shoulders without saying anything.

Zuo Xiao was still leaning on crutches, and her clothes would definitely fall down if she put them on like that, so she simply handed them to her and put them on herself. She caught a glimpse of Zhuang Jinghao's happy face, and she thought that this guy still liked to be a warm baby as always.

As they were walking, Nuanbaobao suddenly said, "By the way, do you want to call Brother Luffy?"

It would have been fine if he hadn't mentioned it, but as soon as Luffy was mentioned, Zuo Xiao's mouth curled up in sarcasm.

That guy hadn't contacted her for two days, hinting at a cold war. She'd argued with every boyfriend before, but never one this bitter and incomprehensible. It simmered within her, a burning desire to fight him. Furthermore, in previous arguments, she'd always wait for the other person to initiate peace, never the first to give in. Since Luffy had chosen the cold war, then so be it.

"Whatever." Zuo Xiao said coldly.

Zhuang Jinghao paused and asked cautiously, "Did you have a fight?"

Zuo Xiao didn't want to mention this person at all, so he didn't respond, which was considered as his tacit agreement.

Zhuang Jing wisely stopped talking about him. After a while, she said, "Then we'll pick you up at 11:30 tomorrow morning. Let's go together after dinner, okay?"

The brother and sister accompanied her all the way to the bottom of the building, and then accompanied her to the elevator and into the house.

Zuo Xiao said goodbye to them and just closed the door when he suddenly remembered that Zhuang Yu'an's clothes were still on him. He immediately opened the door and called out, "Your clothes!"

The brother and sister were still in the hallway, and they turned around at the same time. Zhuang Yu'an turned around and strode over. Zuo Xiao took off his clothes and handed them to him, saying with a smile, "Thank you. Good night!"

Zhuang Yu'an's eyes lit up, and he said good night with a smile.

The next day, the Zhuang brothers and sisters came to pick people up on time.

Zuo Xiao, having finally gotten on a walker, was incredibly excited and pedaled quickly around the neighborhood. Zhuang Yu'an held her crutches and followed closely, occasionally reminding her, "The road's uneven, go slower." His free hand hovered behind her back, half-assed, half-assed.

In the past, Zuo Xiao might not have realized that there was anything unusual about this guy's behavior, but now that he knew his intentions, it was easy for him to understand the meaning.

His care for her was indeed excessive.

She didn't dislike Zhuang Yu'an, nor did she intend to reject his humble and meticulous care. But a lingering sense of unease lingered in her heart. She couldn't help but glance at him: Isn't it a bit bad for me to occupy the toilet without doing anything?

Behind her, Zhuang Jinghao was looking at the two of them calmly.

She felt as if she had a new pair of eyes. The truth that she had previously ignored was now clearly revealed before her eyes.

My brother’s love for Zuo Xiao is so outrageous that it’s outrageous!

Ever since he picked her up at the airport yesterday, her brother's attention has never left her.

When eating midnight snacks, Zuo Xiao's water cup would never be empty, and she would never have to reach out for cutlery or paper towels. Not to mention that her favorite foods would always be placed where she could reach them most easily - no, there was nothing on the entire table that she didn't like to eat.

On the way home after dinner, Zuo Xiao sneezed and her brother had already taken off his shirt. Good guy, he had been prepared all the time, just waiting for a signal?

At her doorstep, her brother heard Zuo Xiao open the door and call him. His eyes lit up and he ran over. If he had a tail, he would probably wag it so hard it could be used as a fan, right?

When the brother and sister returned home, the brother took his shirt and went straight up to the third floor. Uh...was he going to do something weird? No, no, she believed her brother couldn't be that perverted...

And then just now, my brother didn't treat his friend like that, he treated his three-year-old child, his own child at that!

Oh my god, was I blind before?!

Zhuang Jinghao marveled at her own slow realization and couldn't help but think her brother's idea was ridiculous:

He still thinks he has a "secret crush" on her?!

He still has the nerve to say "Don't break the window paper"?!

She felt her cheeks burning and her head dizzy, not sure if it was from the sugar rush or the embarrassment from her own brother.

She walked forward slowly, watching her brother open the trunk, move Zuo Xiao's crutches and walker in, then open the back door and carefully help her into the car, treating her with the same care as if she were a fragile item.

Oh my god, her brother has completely turned into a bootlicker!

This realization made her feel ashamed. Then she thought: Zuo Xiao's mentality seemed a little subtle...

Her brother's admiration for her was so obvious, yet she didn't seem to mind it. Did she think of him as a mere lapdog? Or was she interested in him, too? Or perhaps Zuo Xiao hadn't even noticed her brother's "secret crush" on her? No, no, her brother himself said Zuo Xiao already knew...

Zhuang Jinghao's thoughts grew increasingly confused, his mind a blur. Forget it, let her poor little brain go...

The car drove into the basement. The three of them walked into the elevator, and Zhuang Jinghao pressed the button for the first floor.

The elevator door opened, and suddenly the sounds of various instruments filled the air: guitar, drums, cello...

Looking out, the lobby was packed with people, young and old, sitting and standing. Three layers of people formed a semicircle around a stage less than a meter high. Several people were tuning their instruments, and a backdrop emblazoned with two large characters read: "Blue Lemon Music Training" and "Autumn Unplugged Concert."

"Wow, that's quite a big deal." Zuo Xiao exclaimed.

"That's right!" Zhuang Jinghao said, "I heard from Si Rui that they hold two concerts every year. This is the first time they're holding it in the lobby on the first floor, and they're planning to move it to the outdoor area next year!"

As she was speaking, her eyes caught sight of Liang Sirui and she hurried over.

Liang Sirui led the three of them to sit down under the stage, pointed to the side of the stage, and said: "The one wearing a black sweatshirt is our boss. I will introduce him to you later."

Zuo Xiao looked up and saw that the man was about thirty years old, of medium height, with a blue lemon reflected on the chest of his sweatshirt. He was reaching out to direct the cameraman to move the camera.

"I have something else to do. I'll come and accompany you later." Liang Sirui said and left.

The crowd gradually quieted down. A female host with super short orange hair walked onto the stage and announced the official start of the performance.

"First up is our Niuma band. This is a band made up of young people from the internet industry. All five members have studied at Blue Lemon for at least two years. Please enjoy their performance of 'Yellow,' a classic from Coldplay. Everyone, give them a round of applause!"

Despite Zuo Xiao's many years of experience attending live performances, the band's playing wasn't exactly superb; the guitarist even misplayed notes several times. However, everyone performed with great confidence, clearly not their first time on stage.

Applause broke out, the Niuma band took their bow and left the stage, and the host walked onto the stage again.

"Using performance to promote practice is the teaching principle of Blue Lemon. We always believe that music should be played! By organizing more performances for everyone, we can let everyone enjoy the joy of music, better stimulate their passion for learning, and make music a true part of our lives. In addition to the two concerts in spring and autumn each year, Blue Lemon also organizes everyone to participate in performances of all sizes on a daily basis..."

The following performances were diverse. First, there were rock and pop music performances, followed by an a cappella ensemble by six middle school students, and then a string quartet, a piano quintet, and more. Each performance was subject to live voting and judges' scoring, culminating in an awards ceremony. The atmosphere was heated.

"How do you feel?" Liang Sirui came over and asked as the crowd dispersed.

"This event is awesome!" Zhuang Jing answered excitedly. "It's so exciting! I even want to learn an instrument and form a band! Are you guys still shortlisted?"

"Of course I don't." Liang Sirui said with a smile, "But if I have to wait for you to learn now, I can't wait."

As he was speaking, a man and a woman came over.

Liang Sirui introduces everyone. The man is Sun Yizhang, the initiator of today's concert and the owner of Blue Lemon. The woman is Jiang Miaomiao, the host and the owner of Blue Lemon.

After a few pleasantries, Zhuang Jinghao looked the couple over intently. The wife had short orange hair and dressed in a very cool style, while the husband had an ordinary figure, appearance, and attire. He couldn't be distinguished from the crowd, and she found him amusing.

"Sister, you're so cool! I especially like your hair." She praised sincerely, and in return Jiang Miaomiao smiled generously: "I like your hair, too."

The couple still had some work to do, so Liang Sirui led the three of them upstairs to visit the training school. Afterwards, he took them to a negotiation room.

As soon as Zhuang Jinghao sat down, he looked at Liang Sirui nervously and expectantly.

Liang Sirui smiled slightly and said, "Thank you for coming to support our concert today." He turned his gaze to Zuo Xiao, "Are you interested in joining us and playing music together?"

Zhuang Jinghao was surprised by her directness. Zuo Xiao was also stunned and asked, "Join what?"

Liang Sirui raised his eyebrows and said with a smile: "Join the band."
