Wang Mingwu came to deliver dinner to Xu Nuo, knocked on the door a few times but no one answered, then pushed it and found the door was locked.
"Promise!"
He pressed his ear to the door and listened, but there was no sound inside. Wang Mingwu immediately sensed something was wrong. Without even looking for a spare key, he kicked the door open.
"Promise!"
The first thing I saw when I entered was on the bed—nobody there!
Wang Mingwu glanced at the window but didn't open it. He took a few steps to check on the bathroom and found Xu Nuo sitting on the floor, leaning against the bed with her eyes closed.
Wang Mingwu immediately knelt down to help Xu Nuo, thinking he had fainted.
"What's wrong? I'm sleepy!"
Xu Nuo reluctantly opened her eyes, glanced at Wang Mingwu, and then closed them again.
Why are you sleeping here?
Wang Mingwu lifted up his trouser leg to examine the wound; it hadn't reopened.
I'm sleepy.
Xu Nuo felt uncomfortable leaning against the bed, so she stood up with Wang Mingwu's help, sat on the bed, and rubbed her eyes.
"Let me find a doctor to check you out. Why are you always sleeping?"
"Need not!"
Upon hearing that a doctor was needed, Xu Nuo immediately said, "I'm just tired."
Wang Mingwu thought for a moment, then asked:
"Are you bored? I'll find you something to pass the time in a bit."
Xu Nuo nodded, sat on the bed to clear her head for a while, glanced at the already dark sky outside, and asked:
"He didn't come back?"

"Did she go to be with that little boy?" Xu Nuo thought of Han Lu, who had been standing in the living room crying yesterday.

Wang Mingwu brought the food in from the doorway and thoughtfully prepared a folding table, placing it in front of the bed.

Wang Mingwu advised.
"I won't eat it!"

"What did I do to offend him! Refusing to eat is what offended him! Why don't you ask him why he locked me up here?"
Xu Nuo suddenly sat up and shouted loudly at Wang Mingwu:
"Why is he angry! I can't even avoid him! Didn't he find a new little boy? Why is he keeping me here?"

Aside from last night, this was the first time Wang Mingwu had seen Xu Nuo so emotionally out of control. He hadn't said anything, so how did he manage to set Xu Nuo on fire?
Why are you avoiding me?
Ye Linyan was already standing at the door at some point, and neither of them noticed when he returned.

Wang Mingwu turned and went out, hesitated for a moment, and then closed the door behind him.

Xu Nuo lowered her head, glanced at the food on the folding table beside the bed, and silently moved her body over.
He didn't want to talk to Ye Linyan, nor did he dare to. If he hadn't provoked Ye Linyan with his words while abroad, he wouldn't have cut off his own finger in a fit of rage.
This incident remained a shadow in Xu Nuo's heart; he would even sometimes dream of that scene, waking up in a cold sweat...
Upon seeing Ye Linyan, Xu Nuo instinctively didn't want to speak, afraid he wouldn't be able to control his mouth!

She lifted Xu Nuo off the sink, grabbed him by the back of the neck, and made him look at her.

His voice was weak and feeble; Xu Nuo truly had no strength left. He slowly moved away, dragging his injured leg, and walked back to the bed. He turned over, covered himself with the blanket, and turned his back to Ye Linyan.
"What exactly do you want? Promise me!"
Ye Linyan deliberately suppressed his emotions, not wanting to make things worse, but Xu Nuo's attitude was undoubtedly adding fuel to the fire. He would rather Xu Nuo act like he did before.
He also didn't want to see Xu Nuo acting like this, completely ignoring him!

"Then, for the sake of our past relationship, please send me out of the country. I'll go to Night Owl's place, okay?"

Ye Linyan said sternly:
"You really want to leave? You're so unwilling to stay by my side?"
"No, I don't want to."
