"How did you save me? Ouch~"
Ye Linyan tried to get up, but as soon as she propped herself up on her arms, a sharp pain shot through her left side.
"Don't get up! The anesthesia is still working. You'll be in pain once it wears off!"
The night owl turned his face away, rolled down the car window a crack, took out a cigarette and lit it.
Ye Linyan looked down at his left shoulder, which was wrapped in gauze. His entire left shoulder ached, and he couldn't see or feel the exact location of the wound.
"You haven't answered my question yet."
Ye Linyan took a few breaths, staring blankly at the roof of the car, and asked.
"I went into town to look for Old Ghost, and I happened to run into you falling from the second floor, so I rescued you on the way!"
The night owl, a cigarette dangling from his lips, gazed out the window.
Ye Linyan turned to look at Night Owl, but didn't ask any further questions.
Night Owl suddenly smiled, turned around, and looked at Ye Linyan:
"I know what you want to ask? I saw Xu Nuo shoot at you from upstairs!"
Night Owl exhaled a puff of smoke and continued:
"Old Ghost is the traitor. I originally wanted to kill him here! But he has too many men, I'm injured, and then I ran into you, so I have to retreat first!"
Ye Linyan moved his right hand; it was still movable, though not very agile. It seemed that, just as Night Owl had said, the anesthetic hadn't completely worn off yet.
How do you know Old Ghost is the mole?
Night Owl paused for a moment, then quickly recovered: "I've suspected him for a long time, but I had no proof!"
"So, now you have evidence?"
"He left with Xu Nuo, does that count as evidence?" Night Owl threw the remaining half of his cigarette out the window.
Promise.............
Upon hearing those two words, Ye Linyan felt a sharp pain in her heart!
Where are we going?
Ye Linyan asked.
"Let's go to a safe place first, let your injuries heal, and then I'll take you to your uncle's headquarters!"
"My uncle won't let me go."
Ye Linyan's head was still a little dizzy, so he closed his eyes and replied softly.
"The border is full of Old Ghost's men. You're injured like this, you can't possibly go back to Yun City. Let's move you to a safe place first, and then see if there's any chance to send you back!"
Night Cat knew that Lin Zheng disagreed with Ye Linyan going to his place, but the current situation was what it was!

After a long silence, Ye Linyan finally spoke softly:
"He shot me, twice..."
Night Owl glanced at him, smiled, then turned back to look out the car window without saying another word.

Xu Nuo was startled awake by the sound of gunfire, and her first reaction was to duck down.
The car in front stopped, and the car Xu Nuo was in was also forced to stop. Immediately afterwards, a burst of gunfire rang out from all around.
The gunfire stopped abruptly about twenty minutes later.
Old Gui, his face still stained with blood, opened Xu Nuo's car door.
"get off!"
Xu Nuo looked around before getting out of the car. He saw that Lao Gui's men were missing a few more, and a few people were dragging two corpses out of the woods. Judging from their clothes, they were not Lao Gui's men!
"What's going on?"
As Old Ghost led Xu Nuo and the rest of the men into the mountains, he said:
"Congratulations! You've reached number one on the kill list! Bounty of ten million!"
"Wow, it's quite valuable!"
Xu Nuo touched the gun in his arms, several names swirled in his mind, and finally settled on one.
"The main road is impassable, let's take the mountain path!"
Old Ghost deliberately kept a distance from Xu Nuo, holding a satellite phone, seemingly talking to someone.
Xu Nuo took out Ye Linyan's phone and turned it on, and sure enough, there was no signal!
After walking for about two hours, Old Ghost stopped in an open area.

Xu Nuo stood up, carefully discerning the direction from which the sound came, and then Old Ghost walked over:
"It's a helicopter sent by General Nan!"
Xu Nuo was stunned!
Helicopters are not uncommon here, but they are too eye-catching. Lin Zheng only has one, which has been sitting there collecting dust!
The roar of the helicopter grew louder and louder, and it got closer and closer to their location!
Xu Nuo finally understood why Lao Gui had chosen this place to wait!
Before long, the helicopter had reached the airspace above them, and Old Ghost waved to it!
The wind was so strong that it got into Xu Nuo's eyes. She looked down and rubbed her eyes. When she looked up again, the helicopter had descended a little further!

These two words were mixed in with the roar of the helicopter!
Xu Nuo then saw that a person on the helicopter was leaning out and smiling at her!
However, the sound was almost entirely swallowed up by the roar, making it difficult to hear clearly!
"President Nan has come in person!"
