Chapter 4: Let’s escape for the tribe!

"This is top-quality merchandise. Fifty-three slaves in exchange for one hundred steel swords, five curved bows, and twenty arrows. How's that?"

"No, eighty steel swords, three curved bows, and fifteen arrows, this is our limit!"

In the Skantu tribe, a group of men and women were imprisoned in a wooden prison cart. They had dull expressions and empty eyes.

In the wars between tribes, the victorious party often knows how to train a flesh-and-blood person into a mindless slave who will only obey unconditionally.

Harmon frowned.

"Tu, do you know how much time and energy I spent training them? I need these weapons..."

Tu snorted coldly.

"How do I know if they will develop any disease during transportation? If they do, my losses will be huge. This is already my biggest concession."

Harmon clenched his fist, then unclenched it, revealing a hint of a smile.

"It's a pleasure to work with you."

In a tall wooden building.

"Humph, they're only interested in profit... a bunch of ruthless people."

Harmon sat on the first guard, looking angry.

"The crude bows are indeed less powerful. We need better sharpening techniques, but this technology has always been mastered by their tribe. It is only natural that we should be controlled by them."

To his left, a thin man said.

"It is said that they have more advanced weapons..."

"So what? Sooner or later, I will completely destroy them!"

Harmon slammed the table hard, his voice low.

"By the way, have you investigated the information that guy brought back?"

"We split into two groups. The first group of scouting hasn't sent back any news yet. Nur and Harchi have already set off. I believe there will be news soon."

Feng was silent for a moment and replied.

"They must be outsiders. I'm sure we've killed all of that backward tribe, except for a few men and women..."

Someone couldn't help but interject.

Harmon took one look at the guy.

Suddenly I remembered that it was the tribe that was destroyed by the people he led.

"Outsiders are here right after the destruction? Do you think I, Harmon, am a fool? Come on, drag them away and feed them to the wild dogs!"

The two men immediately rushed in and captured the man, dragging him away without any explanation.

"No... Chief, please listen to my explanation..."

“Ahhhhh…”

The wild dogs were tied outside the house, and the sounds of biting mixed with screams were chilling.

"Apart from those who go out hunting and on missions, how many warriors do we have left in our tribe?"

"There are still thirty archers, seventy-nine horsemen, and one hundred and forty-three warriors left."

Feng quickly gave the answer.

"Pass the order down, everyone is on standby mode. Once word gets back, all personnel will depart."

"I want to see where these rats came from. How dare they touch my people!"

Just as Harmon finished speaking, a loud noise startled everyone present.

"What's going on?"

Then came the rapid sound of horns, signaling an enemy attack, and the entire tribe fell into panic.

The women and children hid inside the house.

The warriors rushed outside howling, trying to awaken the murderous spirit in their hearts.

A group of uninvited guests rushed into the tribe.

They quickly broke through the gate in the center of the wall, their weapons spraying sparks with great power.

Chai Su stood behind the charging soldiers and watched the scene calmly.

Since there is no common language, the only way to solve everything is to use force.

"Pay attention to whether there are archers on the opposite side..."

He reminded 001 before ordering the attack on the Scantu tribe. 001 naturally understood the meaning and quickly passed it on.

As of now, the only cold weapon that can pose a major threat to us is the bow and arrow.

Moreover, our side was still armed with short-range muskets, which had obvious shortcomings.

Facts proved that his guess was correct. The other party was not a so-called gentleman. Taking advantage of the complexity of the terrain outside the tribe, he kept shooting arrows, injuring or even killing Chai Su's soldiers.

Even though casualties occurred for the first time, Chai Su remained calm on the surface.

As long as there is war, there will be casualties. This is an eternal truth, but he doesn't feel that sad.

Mainly those archers are a bit troublesome!

"kill!"

Scantu's warriors continued to pour out, although they suffered heavy casualties under the suppression of short-range muskets.

But these guys really don't care about their lives when they fight...

One of them was particularly powerful, holding a steel axe and covered in animal skins. He actually withstood several bullets from a short-range musket and only fell down completely after killing a soldier.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Arrows were constantly being shot.

“Oh shit!”

An arrow shot at Chai Su's feet.

Chai Su was so frightened that he tensed up...

He had somewhat underestimated the opponent's strength. It turned out that he was really powerful and was not afraid of death.

001, who was standing aside, was about to join the battlefield when the enemy archer suddenly stopped moving.

Chai Su's mind moved.

call out.

Another arrow was shot, more like a silent warning.

Then dozens of people led by a tall man came out.

The ones standing in front were clearly the top brass of the Scantu tribe, and behind them stood ten archers, including those hiding in the dark...

The two sides were a hundred meters apart.

"Who are you? Do you really want to be an enemy of my Scantu tribe?"
