Chapter 1: Is the end of the world better or is the original world better?

Is the end of the world better or primitive society? Qiao Yu curled his lips: This is a really good question!

Fighting to the last moment in the apocalypse, I thought I was going to die. But when I opened my eyes, I was transported back to primitive times.

She really didn't know whether this was a blessing or a curse.

But at least I've saved my life. Having struggled so long in the apocalypse, isn't it all about staying alive? At least here, there's no shortage of food; the only thing missing is a pair of eyes that can appreciate it. As someone from a country of foodies, this isn't a problem at all.

Everything is for survival!

"Yu, hurry up, your father is injured."

A woman ran into the cave, panting.

Qiao Yu stood up suddenly and ran out.

Before she reached the tribe gate, she saw a group of people carrying the wounded in. The wounded man in the lead was the father of her body - Shan.

Her tribe is a small tribe with only more than a hundred people, and Shan is the leader of the tribe.

A sturdy man in his early thirties, who was originally the strongest and most powerful man in the tribe, was now carried in dying, his arms and legs covered in blood, and he was unconscious.

Of the twenty people who came back together, half were injured, but none of their injuries were as serious as Shan's.

The group took the mountain to the cave where they lived.

A little boy ran over, crying loudly and throwing himself towards the mountain. Qiao Yu grabbed him by his fur coat and said, "Don't throw yourself at me. You'll make Father's injury worse."

This little boy is the original owner’s younger brother, Koizumi, who is ten years old.

Hearing Qiao Yu's words, he dared not move anymore. He just raised his tear-stained face and looked at the tree: "Uncle, my father won't die, right?"

Shu touched Xiaoquan's head and comforted him, "No. The witch is here and will definitely cure your father."

Qiao Yu touched Shan's hand and found it was still warm and his pulse was still there. She felt relieved and asked Shu, "How did this happen?"

"He was bitten by a tiger." A trace of resentment flashed in Shu's eyes.

"Tiger?" The onlookers who came over after hearing the noise exclaimed.

"Is there a tiger on the mountain?"

"What's going on?"

Everyone discussed in low voices.

Qiao Yu frowned and stood up, about to chase these people out and invite the witch over, when he heard someone in the crowd say, "Alas, the Shan family is unlucky too. Yu hasn't recovered yet, and Shan is seriously injured again. Could his family be cursed by God?"

Qiao Yu turned around and saw that the person speaking was an elder of the tribe named Huo. Standing not far from him was his son Qinglang.

She couldn't help but narrow her eyes.

Huo and Qinglang's families had always been at odds with hers, avoiding them whenever there was a conflict. They had never even set foot in her cave. Why were they here now?

"The witch is coming." someone shouted, and everyone immediately made way.

"Everyone please disperse. You are blocking my light by blocking here." Wu said.

Then everyone dispersed one by one.

The shaman here does not possess any magical powers. Instead, he has inherited some basic medical knowledge from the previous generation of shamans and knows a few Chinese herbs. He is like a barefoot doctor in a mountain village. Whenever someone in the tribe is sick or injured, he will be the one to heal them.

Shan's left foot was bitten by the tiger, and half of the sole of the foot was bitten off; a piece of flesh was also bitten off from his left arm.

The two wounds were bandaged roughly with animal skins and were still bleeding.

Wu seems to be in his early fifties, which is considered a long life in this era.

He was very experienced. After seeing Shan's injuries, he did not panic. He skillfully opened a bamboo tube he carried with him, used a bamboo stick as a spoon, scooped out the dark green ointment from it, applied it to the wound, and then re-bandaged it with clean animal skin.

The same goes for the wound on the arm.

Qiao Yu opened his mouth, but in the end said nothing.

The original owner died of an acute illness in the middle of the night last night. After she came through, she took over the original owner's memories.

As far as I can remember, apart from the witch who had a stone pot for boiling medicine, no one else in the tribe had a container for boiling water. The stone pot was very thick and had no lid, so it took a long time to boil a pot of water.

By the time she boiled water to wash the wound, Shan's blood had almost dried up.

Fortunately, the ointment was effective in stopping bleeding. Not long after the witch bandaged Shan, the animal hide stopped bleeding. After drinking the medicine prepared by the witch, Shan's frown relaxed a little, and he seemed to be less in pain.

But it wasn't long before he developed a fever, and it was quite high. Qiao Yu estimated it to be around 40 degrees Celsius.

There were no buckets or basins in the tribe, but fortunately the tribe was built where a mountain spring flowed, and it was not far to walk there to get water.

"Sister, I'll go. Are you okay? Why don't you lie down on the stone bed?" Koizumi looked at Qiao Yu worriedly.

The original owner ate something poisonous yesterday and had vomiting, diarrhea, and a high fever. He passed away in the middle of the night last night, and that's when Qiao Yu traveled through time and space.

In the morning, Shan touched her head and found that it was no longer hot. Considering that winter was coming and the tribe was short of food, he had no choice but to go up the mountain. Who knew that he would encounter such a thing?

"I'm fine, I'm fine." Qiao Yu said, handing the hide to Xiaoquan, "Then go and moisten the hide."

When Koizumi heard that his sister was fine, he felt a little relieved. He took the animal skin and trotted out.

After watching Xiaoquan's back disappear at the entrance of the cave, Qiao Yu looked at the tree guarding the stone bed: "Uncle, what happened today?"

She hadn't missed the anger in Shu's eyes, but since there were so many people around and Shan's injuries needed urgent attention, she didn't ask any further questions.

Speaking of this, Shu's face was filled with anger again: "The Blue Wolf team was being chased by a tiger. We passed by and saw it, so we went to rescue them. During the fight, the tiger pounced on us, and with my skills, I could have avoided it. But Blue Wolf suddenly stretched out his foot and tripped me. I didn't dodge and was bitten by the tiger."

"When I came back, I asked the people in Qinglang's team. The tiger had been injured in a fight with another animal. Qinglang thought he could defeat it, so he went to provoke it despite everyone's attempts to stop him. But it was no use. If we hadn't arrived, they would have all been eaten by the tiger."

When Qiao Yu heard that it was Qinglang who was responsible, his face suddenly darkened.

She asked, "Did anyone else see what happened to Qinglang's father?"

Shu shook his head. "At the time, the members of the Blue Wolf team were injured, and our team was busy attacking the tiger from different directions. I was the only one who saw it since I was following my brother. Blue Wolf was probably afraid that we would tell the story first, so after the tiger was driven away, he apologized first, saying that he tripped over the grass and almost fell, which was why he tripped my brother."

His face was filled with indignation. "I think he did it on purpose. He said that, and it makes it difficult for us to pursue him further."

"The tiger was beaten to death?" Qiao Yu thought for a moment. It seemed that he didn't see them carrying the tiger's body when they came back.

"No," said the tree, "the tiger was too powerful. Even if we went up to help, we couldn't defeat it. The tiger saw that we were more than many people and it was injured, so it saw us running away and didn't chase us."
