Chapter 10: Bragging

She said, "I want to avenge my father and kill the tiger. But if I don't kill it in front of everyone, they will still be worried about the tiger in the mountains and will not dare to go hunting. So I brought it here to kill it in front of everyone."

As she spoke, she raised her fist and quickly smashed it towards the tiger's head.

She didn't hold back when she struck, and she didn't stop. Both of her hands swung around, leaving afterimages. Before the tiger could react and figure out why it was being killed even though it had surrendered, it was knocked unconscious and fell directly to the ground.

Qiao Yu stopped and broke off a branch as thick as his arm, and stabbed it hard into the tiger's ear.

Blood splattered everywhere, the tiger twitched a few times, and then died.

Everyone was stunned.

If they hadn't just seen the tiger carrying Qiao Yu out of the forest and roaring at everyone, they would have thought the tiger was dead. Otherwise, how could it have stood there obediently and let Qiao Yu hit it, and finally had her pierce its head with a branch?

"What kind of demonic tricks did you use on the tiger?" Qinglang asked stutteringly.

Qiao Yu glanced at him, turned around and looked around, picked a tree that three people could hug together, walked over, hugged it and lifted it up, pulling the tree up by the roots.

Everyone's mouth opened wide.

They'd also cleaned up trees after they were struck down by thunder or died. A tree this big would require at least four people to lift. And uprooting it wasn't as simple as just lifting a tree. Given how long the roots were, it would take at least twice as much strength.

How strong is Yu?

"When did you become so strong?" someone asked.

"It's always been this big, but my mother told me not to tell anyone about it." Qiao Yu said, "But now my father is injured, so I have to be the only one to go out hunting in the family from now on."

She looked at everyone and said, "Yesterday I smashed a dozen bamboo tubes."

Everyone looked at each other.

It wasn't like everyone hadn't heard the women yesterday talking about Yu's strength. After all, many people in the tribe had traded meat for bamboo tubes. After receiving the bamboo tubes, these women followed Yu's example and used them to make meat soup. It was actually better than barbecue, especially on this already chilly autumn morning. Drinking a bamboo tube of meat soup made one feel much more relaxed.

But when the men heard this, they just thought that no matter how strong Yu was, he could not compare to them, and did not take it seriously at all.

Everyone's attention is on "there are tigers in the mountains" and "how to hunt", so who has the time to discuss gossip?

I never thought that Yu’s “strength” was so great!

Everyone looked at the big tree and the tiger lying on the ground, and no one spoke for a long time.

Qiao Yu ignored them. She walked up to the tiger, stretched out her hand, lifted it up by the waist, and hung it around her neck.

Even while carrying a tiger that was over two meters long and weighed over 200 kilograms, she waved to everyone with ease: "You guys still want to go hunting? Then go ahead and do your work. I'm going back to the tribe first."

As she spoke, she took a step and walked down the mountain with light steps.

The fourteen-year-old girl, although already 1.6 meters tall, was still growing. She was very thin and looked extremely frail, as if she could be blown down by a gust of wind.

But now, the tiger was on her shoulders, completely obscuring her from behind, as if the tiger were walking on its own, its tail dragging on the ground. Yet she walked with an easy gait, descending the mountain as if it were flat ground. Everyone was silent.

A group of people just stood there quietly, watching Qiao Yu go down the mountain and finally disappear into the woods. They seemed to have just woken up.

Cang, who was on good terms with Shan, turned around and looked at Qinglang, then said to everyone, "Let's go." He took the lead and walked east.

Everyone followed suit.

Only Qinglang stood there, his face turning red and white. He gave his last kick to the tree that Qiao Yu had pulled up, then quickly caught up with the team with a gloomy face.

He knew that his dream of becoming a leader was over.

Yu would definitely not let him become the leader.

Qiao Yu returned to the tribe carrying the tiger, which scared the gatekeeper so much that it took him a long time to figure out what was going on and open the door to let her in.

Needless to say, the sensation caused when entering was very big.

"Father, uncle, my sister..." Koizumi ran into the cave breathlessly, his little face flushed, and he was so excited that he couldn't speak.

His behavior startled Shan, and he suddenly sat up from the bed: "What's wrong with Yu? What happened?"

Shuya looked at Koizumi nervously.

Lin, who was running behind, was calmer and came in and said, "Yu killed the tiger and carried it back."

"What?" Shan and Shu couldn't believe their ears.

Shan turned to Koizumi and asked, "What's going on?"

Koizumi nodded vigorously, grinning widely: "Sister, you brought back a tiger that's so long and so big..."

He stretched out his hand and gestured at the edge of the stone bed: "She said it was the one that bit my father. She avenged my father."

The mountain and the tree looked at each other.

Shandao: "Shu, carry me on your back to take a look."

He was worried because he hadn't seen it with his own eyes.

What if Yu gets hurt?

The tree didn't want to agree, but it couldn't resist the mountain, so it finally carried the mountain on its back and went outside.

After walking out of the cave, the two saw many people gathered at the place where the tribe kept their prey, and a tiger's tail was exposed from the gap between the crowd.

The tree quickened its pace.

"Make way, my father is here." Koizumi shouted as he ran ahead.

When everyone saw that the tree was carrying the mountain, they quickly made way for it.

At this moment, the big tiger with colorful skin appeared in front of the two of them.

The trees and mountains opened their mouths wide.

Qiao Yu was answering everyone's questions when he saw Shan and Shu coming. He quickly smiled and said to Shan, "Father, look, I killed the tiger."

She pointed at the bloody hole in the tiger's ear and said, "I stabbed it to death with a branch here specifically because I didn't want to damage the skin. I'll peel off the skin and make a mat for you, Father. It'll keep you warm in the winter."

Shan swallowed and nodded.
