Chapter 20 Team Building

The same was true for several other disabled people.

The others were initially worried, fearing Yu would ask everyone to focus on farming instead of hunting. If that happened, what would they do with food this winter? Wouldn't they starve to death?

You know, raising wild animals isn't easy; they might die while you're raising them. This isn't a safe idea. Planting fruit trees is even more so, especially since spring hasn't even arrived yet.

Now that they knew Yu was only sending a few disabled people to raise the beasts, everyone felt relieved. Mang and his men couldn't do much anyway. Even if the beast-raising operation failed, the tribe wouldn't suffer any loss.

Shan and Shu had the same concerns. Now that they knew Qiao Yu's thoughts, smiles appeared on their faces.

Especially the mountains, I feel extremely proud.

His daughter is excellent!

"Yu, leave the raising of the wild animals to me." Shan said loudly, "I'll bring Mang and the others with me."

"Okay." Qiao Yu turned around, smiled at his father, and then turned away again. "Then, I'll divide the work among you."

She pointed to the open space to her right and said, "Anyone willing to follow me on a distant hunt tomorrow, please stand here."

Shu immediately stood up, walked to the center of the open space and stood there to support his niece; when Cang saw this, he also hurried over.

Seeing this, the people who originally belonged to Shan’s team came over and stood with them without hesitation.

Yan was originally a member of this team. He was not as decisive as those people. He hesitated for a while, but when he saw Lu staring at him, he did not dare to hesitate any longer and quickly trotted to the end of the team.

Mang's two sons originally belonged to Hei's team, and now they stood behind Qiao Yu without hesitation.

The tribe's three teams, each led by the strongest three, Shan, Hei, and Qinglang, consisted of between fifteen and eighteen members. Now, all fifteen members of Shan's team, excluding Shan, had signed up, plus Mang's two sons and Qiao Yu himself, bringing the total to eighteen.

Qiao Yu was very satisfied. Just as he was about to speak, he saw that everyone in Qinglang's team, except Shanshi and a guy named Ni who was on good terms with Qinglang, all ran over quickly and lined up behind Cang and the others. Even Chai, who had spoken for Qinglang before, was no exception.

The one who moves so fast seems to be chased by a ghost.

Qiao Yu glanced at Qinglang and saw that his face was ashen. He looked at his former teammate with sinister eyes.

Seeing this, she swallowed back the words "it's full" that were about to come out of her mouth.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. If a friend comes to her for help, is she going to drive him away?

Seeing Heidong looking around, seemingly hesitant, and the team he originally led also getting ready to move, she immediately called a halt: "Alright, we have enough people. Not just enough, but too many. Everyone else should stay in their original teams for now."

The people in the black team finally stopped making a commotion.

Qiao Yu looked at Qinglang, Shanshi and the other two men, then looked at the thirteen people in his original team, and felt a headache.

She said, "Cang, pick out fifteen men from here who are not very strong. You will be the leader and lead them to catch rabbits and goats nearby. From now on, your team will be called Team Three. The remaining fifteen will be Team One. Come with me to hunt."

"Yes." Cang agreed.

His situation was similar to Shanshi's. He had been saved by Shan before, so he was very grateful to Shan. In addition, he especially admired Shan's character. Now that Shan's daughter had just become the leader, he would naturally support her and obey her orders.

He immediately picked out fifteen people.

Those fifteen men were either weak or physically frail, and they didn't put in much effort during hunting. They were actually timid about going hunting with Yu because Yu had said they were going far away, which would increase the danger.

But their teammates had all stepped forward, and if they stayed alone, they would have to team up with Qinglang and the others. That would be even more frightening. That's why they followed the trend and signed up.

Now Yu asked Cang to pick them out and only hunt rabbits and goats, which greatly reduced the risk factor. Naturally, they were all unwilling to do so, and thus felt grateful to Qiao Yu.

The remaining fifteen people were also very satisfied.

They also didn't want to go hunting with the weaker ones. Not only could they not help, but they would also be a hindrance. Sometimes they had to take care of and protect them, which was too annoying. Now that they had been streamlined, all that remained were elite soldiers. And with Yu's strength, they wouldn't be afraid of tigers or wolves.

Seeing that the two teams had separated and stood up, and no one had any objections, Qiao Yu glanced at Hei and Qinglang and said, "The remaining nineteen people will form the second team. We will hunt as usual, with Hei as the team leader."

Except for Qinglang, rocks and mud, no one else had any objection.

Hei's squad was a full-fledged unit, and he was originally the team leader. They also had a brilliant mind named Man. In times of danger, Hei, with the highest strength, would lead the charge, while Man directed the others. The two, one courageous and the other strategic, worked together beautifully.

Qinglang's reputation has been ruined, and his teammates have abandoned him and turned to the light. There is no reason to let him be the captain and remove Hei from his position.

With Hei, who has higher fighting power than Qinglang, suppressing them, and Man, the dog-headed military advisor, on guard, even if Qinglang and his two companions joined, they would not be able to cause any trouble in this team.

So even though Man was somewhat dissatisfied with the decision, he didn't say anything.

As for Hei, he hadn't thought about it that much. Yu was the leader, and whatever she said was what she did.

The three Qinglangs were dissatisfied because this was equivalent to Qinglang being removed from his position as team leader.

Qinglang's face was dark, and he wanted to say something, but he also knew that it was useless to say anything.

He couldn't beat Hei, and his reputation wasn't good either. How could Hei's team possibly let him be the team leader and let Hei be inferior to him? Not only would Hei's team members be dissatisfied, but the entire tribe would also disagree.

Seeing no one say anything, Qiao Yu said, "Okay, that's settled. Let me reiterate, tomorrow morning, Hei's team will follow us to the eastern mountain. You will stay on the second hilltop while we go further afield. Cang's team will hunt rabbits and goats on the western mountain. It would be even better if we could hunt pregnant rabbits and goats."

"As for the breeding team, they will first choose a suitable place in the tribe and then cut some grass to prepare for raising rabbits and goats. The women will go to collect as usual."
