Chapter 56 Xiangxiang's Side Story: Hey
Su Zhi leaned against the wall, warm water pouring down on them. Liu Chengxu's fingers washed her from behind, his movements restricted by the position, unlike in bed where he could fully stretch out.
You can only advance to level II.
But the bathroom has its advantages. Skin to skin, heat rising. Liu Chengxu's chest pressed against Su Zhiluo's back, each movement carrying a gentle, scrubbing sensation. The psychological shame was blurred by the steam, but the senses were amplified with extraordinary clarity.
Liu Chengxu held up his wet fingers in front of her eyes and whispered, "Look down."
Su Zhiluo lowered her gaze and saw bubbles and water dripping from her fingertips, merging into the flowing water at her feet.
Liu Chengxu's other hand was still on her leg, and he could clearly feel the muscles on her inner thighs tightening slightly and trembling.
Liu Chengxu pressed against her neck, biting her ear and calling her name repeatedly, "Wife, wife, wife..."
Su Zhilu thought to herself, "This is terrible, this is terrible."
The reason why Liu Chengxu kept calling her that was because he found that this word was more difficult and taboo for Su Zhiluo.
Liu Chengxu turned her over again, holding her leg with one hand.
This time she kissed her lips.
Su Zhiluo's trembling voice reached her ears, muffled, biting her lip, her face flushed with heartache, and finally she wrapped her arms around her neck and begged.
*
They made a ruckus in the bathroom for more than half an hour before finally stopping.
Liu Chengxu warmed her knees with a hot water bottle, and Su Zhiluo wrapped her in a clean bath towel. Liu Chengxu said, "I need to wash my hair later; I have a business trip tomorrow."
"Oh right." Su Zhiluo almost forgot about it and casually picked up her clothes to wrap herself up.
Liu Chengxu quickly washed his hair, and Su Zhilu tidied up the outside and rinsed the bathtub clean. While drying his hair, Liu Chengxu instructed, "Put on a mugwort heat patch when you get into bed to get rid of the dampness."
"Okay." As Su Zhiluo left, she casually lifted her cheek and gave her a light kiss. Back in the bedroom, she smoothed out the sheets.
The house was heated, and the bed was warm and cozy, but she still filled an electric hand warmer and placed it on the side where Liu Chengxu was sleeping.
When Liu Chengxu came out of the shower, Su Zhiluo was already holding a hairdryer, beckoning her with her finger. Liu Chengxu, worried about getting the bed wet, sat on the edge of the bed. Su Zhiluo pulled open her slightly loose bathrobe, turned on the hairdryer, and a warm breeze accompanied by a soft humming sound began. She called Liu Chengxu over, and Liu Chengxu turned around and told her to go to sleep early. Su Zhiluo lightly flicked her head with her finger.
She said, "Do you want it?"
Liu Chengxu's mouth immediately watered. He looked at her in surprise, slowly climbed onto her, and she sat on the bed, asking, "Why are you being so generous today?"
Su Zhiluo said, "Aren't you going on a business trip? You'll be gone for a week. Won't you be craving something delicious?"
Liu Chengxu nuzzled her playfully and kissed her.
He looked incredibly beautiful in an instant, and even rubbed against her chest. Liu Chengxu had a sharp tongue. Su Zhiluo couldn't help but cross her legs, her toes twisting together.
Liu Chengxu's curly hair was difficult to style, and Su Zhiluo was worried about damaging her hair, so she applied hair oil while blow-drying it. It took about 20 minutes.
As Liu Chengxu spat it out, he rubbed his fingers together and said, "Wife."
Su Zhiluo's cheeks flushed, as if the hairdryer had been blowing directly on her face. She put the hairdryer aside and straddled her.
He lifted up her newly put-on pajamas and said, "Feed me."
Liu Chengxu's body stiffened slightly, and her breathing tightened. She was used to being taken care of by Su Zhiluo, and this was the first time she had fed her. Now that the roles were reversed, a sense of shame was mixed with a strange nervousness.
Su Zhiluo lowered her head.
His fingertips then slipped inside the edge of her pajama bottoms—pajamas that Su Zhiluo had bought, the elastic waistband always hanging just at her waist.
Liu Chengxu couldn't help but lift his waist slightly. "No rush, baby," Su Zhiluo's voice was gentle and her breath warm, "In a little while... I'll taste it properly too. I can eat it all."
She ate while simultaneously preparing her next meal.
She kissed him tenderly, her hand patiently soothing him.
Su Zhiluo had taught her how to kiss before. If she wanted, she could guide her better than Liu Chengxu—using her soft voice to gently direct her, telling her how to respond and how to take the initiative, letting the tongue become the most intimate guide.
He stuck out his tongue and his finger.
*
Liu Chengxu is going on a business trip; his flight is at 10 a.m.
Su Zhiluo hadn't slept well that night, and when she heard the noise of her getting up, she woke up as well.
She had packed her suitcase for her yesterday. As she got up, she casually threw on a coat. The morning mist outside the window hadn't dissipated, and the tree branches were covered with a layer of glistening snow. The snow crunched softly under her feet.
It was freezing cold outside, and Liu Chengxu didn't want her to take him home: "Go back and get some more sleep. I can manage on my own. I'm not a child anymore."
Su Zhilu shook her head; she had already grabbed her car keys. "I'll drive you home, then you can catch up on your sleep when you get back. You're wearing plenty of layers, so you won't be cold." She added softly, "I'd like to see you off."
Liu Chengxu felt a warmth in her heart and didn't insist any further. She was always touched by Su Zhiluo's direct gentleness, her heart softening completely, and she loved her dearly.
After getting in the car, Liu Chengxu fastened his seatbelt and quickly closed his eyes to catch up on sleep in the back seat. Su Zhilu drove smoothly. The airport expressway was empty and quiet in the early morning, and the outline of the terminal gradually became clear in the lingering mist.
After parking the car, the two quickly walked into the lobby. The traffic was a bit congested, and time was running out; the announcement was already urging them to go through security.
Liu Chengxu took the suitcase and suddenly asked, "Will you miss me?"
Su Zhiluo nodded.
“You need to express yourself.” Liu Chengxu stood still, looking at her.
Su Zhiluo thought for a moment, then wrapped her arms around her neck and gently kissed her.
Amidst the comings and goings of people, she was still a little shy. After kissing her, she nestled against her neck and whispered, "Is this okay?"
Liu Chengxu was taken aback, then turned her face away, her ears burning slightly. She had been spoiled since childhood, and although she was happy inside, she pretended to be dissatisfied. "You used to deliberately go on business trips to Guangzhou, and I chased after your car."
Su Zhiluo thought about it carefully for a moment, then said with difficulty, "But now... I can't exactly chase after the plane."
Liu Chengxu was taken aback, then snorted, thinking she was really clueless about romance. Yet, Liu Chengxu loved it when she did this, hooking her chin and returning the kiss. Su Zhiluo turned her head away, feeling embarrassed that someone might be watching.
Liu Chengxu complained, "Fine, it's happening again."
Su Zhiluo smiled and leaned in to kiss her again. "Princess Liu Chengxu of our family, don't be angry. Your queen is waiting for you to come home."
Liu Chengxu's lips finally curved into a smile, and he said softly, "Okay. Wait for me at home."
"Okay."
"I love you, my wife," Liu Chengxu said quickly before turning around, dragging his suitcase.
"I love you too," Su Zhiluo replied softly but clearly, "Wife."
Liu Chengxu then walked toward the security checkpoint with satisfaction.
Su Zhiluo kept watching her back until she passed through security and disappeared from sight before preparing to leave. As she reached the exit, she couldn't help but look back one last time.
The longer they were together, the more reluctant she became to part with Liu Chengxu. Even before things started, she felt an emptiness in her heart. She couldn't help but sigh, pressing her hands to her face and quickly sending a text: "Oops, I forgot, I should have bought you some gloves."
Liu Chengxu: [I went to Shenzhen]
Su Zhiluo: [Oh, right.]
Liu Chengxu: [Are you nervous?]
Su Zhiluo didn't reply, feeling a little embarrassed.
About three minutes later, just as Liu Chengxu sat down in the VIP room, his phone vibrated several times in a row.
Su Zhiluo sent a message:
I miss you, I miss you, I miss you!
Liu Chengxu: [?]
Su Zhiluo: [I'll say it three times because it's important.]
Oh my god.
With just those three short sentences, Liu Chengxu's mind exploded like fireworks. All thoughts of business trips and work vanished, and all he wanted to do was turn back immediately and hug Su Zhiluo tightly.
Liu Chengxu:
[Crying.]
[Miss, I miss you so much too.]
Su Zhiluo held her phone, looked at the screen, and couldn't help but laugh.
*
Su Zhiluo's home was far from the airport, and it took her two hours to drive back. In another hour, Liu Chengxu would arrive in Shenzhen.
Su Zhiluo wanted to catch up on some sleep at home, but as she tossed and turned on the sofa, she felt empty and didn't know what to do.
She stared at the ceiling, finding herself extremely uncomfortable. She'd never felt the city was empty before, but now she felt listless and unmotivated. She lay there until Liu Chengxu got off the plane. Liu Chengxu was rushing to catch his car, and the two only exchanged a few hurried words. Su Zhiluo, worried she might get carsick, told her to text her after arriving at the hotel.
Another hour passed.
Liu Chengxu sent a message: 【Have you eaten?】
Su Zhiluo didn't eat. She didn't really want to order takeout, always feeling that the food outside wasn't as good as what they liked.
She replied: "Not yet. How about you? Have you arrived at the hotel yet?"
Liu Chengxu: [Arrived. The company's business trip standards are good; the single room is quite nice.]
Then another message appeared: "Go open the refrigerator. The freezer compartment, third compartment."
Su Zhiluo walked over and opened it.
Inside were dishes that Liu Chengxu had prepared in advance, neatly arranged, a very generous spread. There were lamb chops and her favorite shrimp, all portioned out in airtight containers.
Liu Chengxu: [If you want to eat it, just heat it up in the microwave or oven.]
Su Zhiluo: [When did you do all this?!]
Liu Chengxu: [You usually cook for me when I'm at work. I thought I'd prepare some for you too, just in case you don't have an appetite, you can just heat it up and eat.]
Su Zhilu squatted by the refrigerator, her eyes welling up with tears. Because of their age difference, she often treated Liu Chengxu like a child, always feeling that she should take care of him more.
Looking at these foods that embody heartfelt sentiments, a warm feeling welled up in her heart.
They lived together for two years.
In many ways, Liu Chengxu was already a reliable adult, a partner she could completely trust.
She took out the prepared beef stew, put it in the microwave, and texted her: "What are you eating?"
Liu Chengxu: [Ordering barbecue with colleagues.]
She texted again: "They've made plans to go out after work. I'll go out and see if I can find anything nice to send back to you."
If you're not busy on Saturday and Sunday, come over; Dalian has beautiful scenery.
Su Zhiluo replied: 【Okay.】
Just then, the beef soup was ready. She took a sip; it tasted very good, just as Liu Chengxu always had.
She was on the phone with Liu Chengxu, and put her phone aside while eating and watching the video of Liu Chengxu packing his luggage in the hotel room.
After chatting for a while, Su Zhiluo quietly ordered takeout for Liu Chengxu, saying, "You should get some sleep, aren't you going out for barbecue tonight?"
Liu Chengxu was exhausted after a busy morning, so she agreed. A little while later, the deliveryman brought over some vegetable porridge. After Liu Chengxu finished eating, a colleague knocked on her door to ask her to go out, but she said she was too tired and sleepy, and stayed in bed to continue video chatting with Su Zhiluo.
Both of them were reluctant to part, and their eyes were brimming with longing.
*
In the evening, Liu Chengxu went shopping with his colleagues, sending her pictures of anything that caught his eye.
Su Zhiluo tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep. Liu Chengxu hadn't been on a business trip for over half a year. There were many projects in Shanghai, so she wasn't short of work. They ate and slept together every day, and on Saturdays and Sundays, they would take walks and drive to the park for picnics.
Su Zhi tossed and turned in bed, remembering that Liu Chengxu had to work the next day, so she refrained from sending her a message to disturb her. She got up to get a water glass, but found that the bedside table was empty—Liu Chengxu usually poured her a glass and put it there before going to sleep.
She had no choice but to go to the living room to get some water. As she walked down the hallway, the motion-sensor light turned on automatically. Just as she filled a glass with warm water, Nuannuan appeared out of nowhere and called out to her.
"Hey, you're not asleep either?" Su Zhiluo said softly, and led the kitten to the water dispenser, throwing a piece of freeze-dried food to trick the kitten into drinking water.
Nuannuan rolled over on the ground, revealing her soft belly. Su Zhiluo held the cup in both hands and gently rubbed it with her toes.
She simply turned on the TV and randomly put on "Jiefang West Road," a show she and Liu Chengxu usually watched together. They always ate barbecue while watching it, often bursting into laughter at the bizarre cases in the show.
Liu Chengxu wasn't home tonight, so Nuannuan jumped onto the sofa and snuggled up to her. The two of them just looked at each other. Nuannuan had a very good temper, and when Su Zhiluo reached out and picked it up, it didn't struggle. Su Zhiluo gently stroked its fur, but her mind was on the person who wasn't by her side at that moment.
She spoke to Nuannuan: "Do you want to have a chat?"
Nuan Nuan is very well-behaved. She may seem aloof at times, but if you get close to her, she will come over and snuggle up to you. Liu Chengxu sometimes calls her his little wife, and she calls her that again.
Su Zhiluo said, "Xiao Xu went hunting for us. When she comes back, there will be lots of delicious food."
That night, Su Zhiluo slept on the sofa, forgetting to turn off the TV. When she woke up, Liu Chengxu called. Still half asleep, Su Zhiluo saw his face and said, "I miss you so much."
Liu Chengxu had just gotten up and was brushing his teeth when he heard her say that, and his heart softened. "Mmm... I miss you too."
She looked at her phone, while Nuannuan lay on the sofa leaning against the wall, staring at her with wide eyes. Liu Chengxu knew that Su Zhiluo was not awake yet, so he deliberately teased her, "So how much do you want to?"
"I wasn't used to it at night." Su Zhiluo's eyes kept closing and closing. "You always like to pinch me."
Liu Chengxu has a strange hobby. She used to like to hug something in her arms when she slept, and now when she sleeps with Su Zhiluo, she likes to pinch her nipples. As soon as she lies down, her hands seem to have an automatic radar and reach into her clothes.
Su Zhiluo was frequently pinched by her, and when she got annoyed by it, she came up with another solution: she fed it directly to her, and that finally stopped her.
Liu Chengxu went to his workplace to take measurements in the morning.
I called her when I went out for lunch, and I sounded a little surprised: "You know what? I ran into my old classmate today."
"A college classmate?"
“She was my classmate in junior high and high school.” Liu Cheng said, “I lost my textbooks at first, so I read her books for a while. I’ve told you about her before, but you didn’t remember. She was a friend of mine back then. She went abroad later, didn’t she? Her name is Xu Lizhi.”
Su Zhiluo seemed to have a vague recollection of it, but couldn't quite remember.
“She’s a curator now. It’s a good opportunity to talk to her about a collaboration, it’s a big deal,” Liu Cheng said. “I just need to stay here for a while.”
She complained, "When I told you things before, were you just going to brush me off and not take them to heart at all?"
Liu Chengxu was right. He used to be quite aloof at school, only thinking about studying and making money in the future, but he also felt suffocated by not speaking.
She becomes more talkative whenever she gets home, and loves to chat. She talks to Su Zhiluo about this and that. There are a lot of people in her class, and Su Zhiluo can't possibly remember them all. She also really wants to read novels, so she's lost in thought and replies to Su Zhiluo with "Oh," "Ah," "Is that so?" "My God," "No wonder," "Indeed," "Hmm," "I agree," and "You're right."
Su Zhiluo recalled carefully and remembered that Liu Chengxu had mentioned that when she first transferred schools, she didn't have any textbooks and was too embarrassed to say so, so she borrowed other people's textbooks to copy every day.
Su Zhiluo had a better memory of this incident.
After chatting for a while, Su Zhilu felt that this person's name sounded familiar. She thought about it carefully and suddenly remembered: Liu Chengxu's school used to give out candy and snacks to the class during activities.
Liu Chengxu was reluctant to eat them himself, so he brought them back for her, handful after handful, all of them lychee-flavored. He said they were from a classmate.
On one or two occasions, Su Zhiluo found a small note or two inside the candy wrapper, and at the time she thought it was a free gift with the candy.
