Chapter 107: The Light of the Book

The Light of the Book

The words on the scroll shone with a strange light. At first, it was a faint speck, like a lone star in the night sky. But in the blink of an eye, the light grew stronger and stronger, rapidly spreading, illuminating the entire meditation room like daylight. The light was blazing and dazzling, carrying a mysterious power that made it impossible to look directly at it.

Everyone was blinded by the sudden light and subconsciously raised their arms to cover their eyes, trying to block the strong light.

"What the hell is going on?" Suna exclaimed, her voice filled with panic and confusion. She squinted her eyes, trying hard to see the situation in front of her, but the light was too strong, and she could only see a world of white.

Lin Yu was also deeply surprised. His heartbeat accelerated, and an unknown fear surged within him. However, he clutched the scroll tightly, as if it were his only support in this chaos. "No matter what happens, we must remain calm," he said to himself, though he had no idea what would happen next.

In the glow, strange images began to emerge. Like a dream, they loomed and faded. The first thing that caught my eye was an ancient town, its narrow, winding streets lined with old, dilapidated houses. The tiles on the roofs swayed in the wind, as if ready to fall. Then, a mysterious ceremony unfolded. People dressed in strange attire gathered around a blazing flame, chanting incoherently, their expressions solemn and solemn. A group of indistinct figures whispered, their voices seemingly emanating from a distant time and space, indistinct yet imbued with a mysterious power.

"Could these images reveal the past of this ancient town?" one team member speculated, his voice trembling, filled with fear and curiosity about the unknown. He stared intently at the images, trying to find some familiar clues, but everything seemed so strange and mysterious.

Lin Yu stared intently at the images, trying to find a clue. His brow furrowed, his mind racing. "These images must have some meaning. Perhaps they hold the key to solving this mystery," he pondered, a mixture of nervousness and anticipation building within him.

Suddenly, a massive black shadow appeared in the image, like a thick, dark cloud, instantly obscuring all light. The shadow roared, a sound that seemed to come from the depths of hell, filled with rage and pain. The entire meditation room shook, dust rustled from the walls, and the ground began to tremble.

Everyone was terrified and their faces turned pale as paper in an instant.

"What is this?" A team member collapsed to the ground in fear, his voice filled with tears.

"Don't be afraid, everyone!" Lin Yu shouted loudly. Although his heart was filled with fear, he knew that as the captain, he had to remain calm and give everyone confidence and courage.

At this moment, Lin Yu felt a powerful force coming from the book. The force was like a surging tide, hitting his body wave after wave. His body trembled involuntarily, and the book in his hand seemed to become extremely hot.

"Lin Yu, what's wrong with you?" Suna asked worriedly, her voice filled with concern and anxiety. She wanted to get closer to Lin Yu, but the light and power formed an invisible barrier that prevented her from getting close.

Lin Yu gritted his teeth and said, "The power of this scroll is too strong. I can't control it anymore." His voice became distorted because of pain, the veins on his forehead bulged, and sweat fell like rain.

Before he finished speaking, the scroll broke free from Lin Yu's hand and floated in the air. The light became so dazzling that it was impossible to look directly at it. The light seemed to have life, pulsating and spinning, forming a huge ball of light.

Then, the light suddenly contracted, like a giant balloon deflated in an instant. Everything returned to silence, and the Zen room fell into darkness again. The scroll slowly fell. Lin Yu reached out to catch it, and discovered that the text on it had changed. The originally obscure text now became even more mysterious and complex, like an ancient code waiting for him to decipher.

Just as Lin Yu was about to study these changes, the door of the Zen room was suddenly pushed open, and a cold wind blew in. A group of mysterious people in ancient costumes walked in, their figures were blurred in the darkness, only their eyes flashed with strange light.

"You have finally awakened this ancient secret," said the mysterious leader. His voice was low and hoarse, as if it came from deep underground. He was wearing a mask, making it impossible to see his face clearly.

Lin Yu and his teammates looked at each other, their eyes full of vigilance and confusion. They didn't know the purpose of these mysterious people, nor did they know whether they were in deeper danger.

The mysterious man stepped forward and looked at the scroll in Lin Yu's hand, a complex expression flashing in his eyes. There was fear, expectation, and a hint of indescribable sadness in that expression.

"This is the secret that our ancient town has guarded for many years. Now that it has been revealed by you, it is also the arrangement of fate." The mysterious man said slowly, his voice echoing in the silent Zen room, making people feel an invisible pressure.

Lin Yu asked, "What is this secret?" His voice was firm and powerful. Although his heart was filled with fear, he still wanted to know the truth.

The mysterious man sighed. "This is a record of an evil curse. Long ago, this ancient town was cursed by a terrible crime, and has since been plunged into darkness and fear. Only by breaking this curse can the ancient town return to its former peace. And you are the ones chosen by fate to complete this mission."

Lin Yu and the others looked at each other, knowing that a new challenge was coming. They didn't know what was waiting for them, but they knew that they had no way out.

"No matter how difficult it is, we must try to break the curse and save this ancient town." Lin Yu said, his voice full of determination.

The team members nodded one after another, with determination shining in their eyes.

Under the guidance of a mysterious man, Lin Yu and his team members walked out of the Zen room and embarked on a journey of unknown destiny...
