Chapter 116: The Ray of Hope

Rays of Hope

That faint light seemed particularly precious in the darkness, like the only life-saving straw in the dark abyss. It was weak and swaying, as if it would be swallowed by the darkness at any time, but in this endless darkness, it gave Lin Yu, Suna and the principal a glimmer of hope.

Lin Yu shouted loudly, "Go towards the light!" His voice echoed in the darkness, with determination and urgency. His heart was beating rapidly, and every step was filled with unknown fear, but the light was like a powerful magnet, attracting them to move forward courageously.

The three of them stumbled through the darkness toward the light, the pull seemingly weakened by their determination. In the darkness, their footsteps were chaotic and heavy, their breathing rapid and disordered.

When they finally approached the light, they discovered it was a mysterious jade. The jade was crystal clear, emitting a soft and mysterious glow. Strange symbols were engraved on it. Like ancient totems, these symbols were twisted and mysterious, leaving people baffled.

"What is this?" Suna asked doubtfully, her voice full of curiosity and fear. Her eyes were fixed on the jade, as if she was deeply attracted by it.

The principal examined the jade carefully, his brow furrowed, his gaze focused and penetrating. He mused, "Perhaps this is the key to unlocking the mystery here. These symbols seem to hold a profound meaning." His fingers gently touched the symbols, feeling their texture.

At this moment, the old man's voice came from the surrounding darkness: "This is the secret of Kunlun, and only those who are truly brave and wise can understand it." The voice seemed to come from all directions, illusory, and it was impossible to determine its source.

Lin Yu looked at the jade, his eyes gleaming with determination. "No matter what, we must try to unlock it." His voice was full of determination, as if he was ready to face any difficulties.

They gathered together, carefully studying the symbols on the jade. Lin Yu relied on his memory, trying to recall a similar symbol he had seen in an ancient book. His mind raced, searching the ocean of memory.

"I think I have a clue," Lin Yu said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "These symbols may be related to some ancient ritual or practice."

Suna blinked. "Can we find a way out of this?" Her voice was filled with anticipation and uneasiness.

The principal nodded and said, "We can only give it a try."

They began to carefully analyze each symbol, trying to find its pattern and meaning. As time passed, their mood became more and more tense.

After some effort, they finally deciphered the meaning of some of the symbols. It turned out that these symbols were related to ancient Taoist practice methods, and seemed to be guiding them on how to deal with their current predicament.

Just as they were immersed in the joy of their discovery, the ground suddenly began to shake violently. The entire space seemed to be swaying, and rocks kept falling from above their heads, making a dull sound.

"Oh no, this place is going to collapse!" the principal exclaimed, his voice full of panic.

Lin Yu raised his head and looked at the falling rocks, "We must leave immediately!"

They quickly picked up the jade and ran towards the exit. As they ran, they found that the road became narrower and narrower, and the stone walls on both sides seemed to be constantly squeezing in, wanting to trap them in this darkness forever.

"Come on everyone, the exit is just ahead!" Lin Yu encouraged everyone, his voice trembling but still firm.

Suna's breathing became rapid, "I... I can't run anymore."

The principal took her hand, "Hold on, Suna!"

The rocks falling from overhead were becoming more and more frequent, and they had to dodge the rocks while moving forward with difficulty.

"Be careful!" Lin Yu pushed away Su Na who was almost hit by a stone.

"Lin Yu!" Suna screamed.

"I'm fine, let's go!" Lin Yu shouted.

Their clothes were torn by the stone walls and their bodies were covered with scrapes and scratches, but they did not stop.

Finally, they saw a ray of light, which was the exit of the stone gate. They used up their last bit of strength and rushed out.

The moment they stepped out of the stone gate, the sunlight shone on them, warm and gentle. They breathed in the fresh air in big gulps, as if they had just returned to the world from hell.

"We...we got out." Suna collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down her face.

Lin Yu and the principal were so tired that they collapsed on the ground, their faces full of fatigue and relief.
