Chapter 121: A Critical Moment

A Moment of Truth

Just as the shadow was about to pounce on them, Lin Yu's mind went blank. His instinct for survival unleashed a burst of incredible strength. He yanked Suna along with him and rolled as fast as he could into the nearby bushes. The thorns and spikes in the bushes mercilessly scratched their bodies, causing waves of stinging pain, but they didn't care at this moment.

The shadow missed its target and roared angrily. The sound was like rolling thunder, shaking the leaves around it. Its breath was like a blazing flame, as if it could ignite the surrounding air.

"Run!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice hoarse from fear and tension. He pulled Su Na up, not daring to stop for a moment, and continued to flee desperately.

Suna's ankle had been twisted from the tumble, and every step she took was excruciating. Her face was pale, her lips trembling, but she fought back tears, gritted her teeth, and followed closely behind Lin Yu. Her heart was filled with fear and despair, but Lin Yu's determination gave her a glimmer of courage to persevere.

"I can't run anymore, Lin Yu." Suna gasped, her voice weak and powerless. Her legs felt as heavy as if they were filled with lead, and every step required a huge effort.

Lin Yu glanced back at the approaching shadow, his heart pounding. His eyes were filled with anxiety and worry, but he knew he couldn't give up now. "Hold on a little longer, Suna. There seems to be a cave up ahead." He spoke with a hint of hope, though he wasn't sure if that cave could be their refuge.

They struggled to run towards the cave, each step a race against death. A dark shadow was chasing them relentlessly, its footsteps like the sound of a death drum, drawing closer and closer. Lin Yu could sense the terrifying presence drawing closer, as if it would devour them in the next second.

Finally, they ran into the cave. The cave was filled with a smell of dampness and decay, and the darkness seemed to hide countless unknown dangers. But at this time, they no longer cared about so much.

Lin Yu quickly lifted a large stone and used all his strength to block the entrance of the cave. The stone rubbed against the ground and made a dull sound, which was particularly harsh in the silent cave.

"I hope I can stop it," Lin Yu said breathlessly. His chest was heaving violently, and sweat was dripping from his forehead.

However, the shadow didn't give up. It pounded the cave entrance fiercely, and each blow made the cave tremble, as if the entire cave would collapse. The rocks at the entrance began to loosen, and small stones rolled down and hit them.

"Lin Yu, are we going to die here?" Su Na cried desperately. Her body trembled constantly, and tears flowed like a flood. The faces of her family and friends appeared in her mind, and her heart was filled with reluctance and regret.

Lin Yu hugged Suna tightly, trying to calm her down. "Don't be afraid. As long as we unite, we will definitely find a way." His voice was firm, but his heart was also filled with fear and anxiety. He knew that their current situation was extremely dangerous, but he couldn't let Suna lose hope.

At this moment, Lin Yu discovered a glimmer of light deep in the cave. The light was faint and flickering, as if it would go out at any moment. But in this dark cave, it was like a life-saving straw.

"Suna, look, there is light there!" Lin Yu said excitedly.

Suna looked up, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Maybe that's our way out."

Lin Yu supported Suna and walked cautiously towards the light. The ground of the cave was uneven and they stumbled along.

"Be careful!" Lin Yu warned, and he used his hand to block Suna to prevent her from hitting the protruding rocks.

As they got closer to the light, they found that it was a narrow passage, the end of which seemed to lead to another place.

"Let's go." Lin Yu pulled Su Na and walked into the passage.

The passage was filled with a mysterious atmosphere, and strange lights flickered on the walls. Their footsteps echoed in the passage, appearing particularly clear.

"Lin Yu, I'm so scared." Suna's voice trembled.

"Don't be afraid, we'll be out soon." Lin Yu comforted.

Suddenly, a strange sound came from the passage, like something crawling.

"What's that sound?" Su Na grabbed Lin Yu's arm tightly.

Lin Yu stopped and raised his flashlight to illuminate the front. He saw a group of huge spiders crawling towards them, their eyes flashing green light, which was creepy.

"Run!" Lin Yu pulled Su Na up again, turned around and ran in the opposite direction.

But they found that the road behind was also blocked by spiders.

"What should I do?" Suna's voice was filled with tears.

Lin Yu's brain was working rapidly. He looked around and found a big rock next to him.

"Let's throw stones at them!" Lin Yu shouted.

They picked up stones and threw them at the spiders. The spiders screamed in anger after being hit. But more spiders kept coming...
