Chapter 122: Survival from Despair

Survival in the Brink of Despair

At this critical moment, Lin Yu and Suna threw the stones in their hands frantically. Their movements were panic and rapid, and each throw was accompanied by shouts of all their might.

"Lin Yu, this isn't a solution! There are too many spiders!" Suna's voice was filled with despair, trembling as if her throat was choked by fear. Her eyes widened as she watched the endless stream of spiders, fear rising like a tide. Her hands ached from throwing the stones so hard, but she didn't dare stop, as if stopping would instantly devour them.

Lin Yu threw the stone with all his might while nervously looking around, his eyes anxious and frantic, trying to find a glimmer of hope in this desperate situation. "There has to be a way, there has to be!" he kept saying to himself. Sweat fell from his forehead like rain, dripping into his eyes, causing a stinging sensation, but he didn't bother to wipe it away.

At this moment, his eyes suddenly stopped at the protruding rocks on the cave wall, and a glimmer of hope surged in his heart. "Suna, let's climb up!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice echoing in this narrow space with a sense of determination and firmness.

Suna glanced at the steep cave wall and felt a wave of fear. The uneven walls made climbing extremely difficult, and a single mistake would have meant a fall. But she knew she had no other choice. "Okay, let's climb!" she gritted her teeth and responded.

Lin Yu first climbed up the cave wall, his hands tightly grasping the protruding rocks, his feet searching for support. Every move was cautious, fearing that he would fall if he was not careful. "Suna, give me your hand, I will pull you up!" He stretched out a hand and shouted to Suna.

Suna raised her hand and took Lin Yu's. Her hand was cold and trembling with fear, but Lin Yu's hand gave her a sense of warmth and strength. Lin Yu pulled hard and pulled Suna onto the first raised stone.

Just as they reached the top, spiders swarmed down below like a tide, their claws and fangs bared, their green eyes flashing eerily in the darkness, and white silk spewed from their mouths drifting in the air.

"That was a close call!" Suna said with lingering fear, her chest heaving violently and gasping for breath. She looked down at the hideous spiders below, feeling a wave of fear in her heart.

However, before they could breathe a sigh of relief, they heard a low roar coming from the entrance of the passage. The sound was like thunder, shaking the entire cave slightly.

"How did it find this place?" Lin Yu frowned, his heart filled with doubt and fear. He looked towards the entrance of the passage and saw the black shadow slowly walking in. Its body was huge and terrifying, blocking most of the light.

A black shadow was lingering below, its eyes fixed on Lin Yu and Suna, as if thinking about how to catch them. The spiders also showed no intention of leaving, still watching them from below, forming a terrifying situation of attacking from both sides.

"Lin Yu, what should we do?" Su Na asked in tears, her voice filled with helplessness and despair. Her body pressed tightly against the wall of the cave, as if she wanted to blend in and escape this terrible thing.

Lin Yu gritted his teeth and said, "Don't be afraid, there must be a way." His eyes were firm and resolute. Although his heart was filled with fear, he knew that he had to remain calm at this time in order to lead Suna out of the predicament.

Just then, Lin Yu inadvertently looked up and spotted a narrow crack in the cave ceiling. A faint ray of light shone through the crack, perhaps leading to the outside. "Suna, let's get out from here," Lin Yu said, and began to crawl towards the crack.

Suna looked at the narrow gap and felt a little hesitant, but when she saw Lin Yu's determined back, she nodded and followed him.

They struggled to move forward in the narrow space, their bodies rubbing against the cave walls, causing waves of pain. Suddenly, Lin Yu felt his feet slip, and his body instantly lost balance and fell downwards.

"Lin Yu!" Suna exclaimed, her voice filled with fear and worry.

At the critical moment, Lin Yu quickly grabbed a protruding stone and stabilized his body. "I'm fine, keep going." His voice was a little weak, but still firm.

Finally, they crawled out of the crack and saw the sun again. The warm sunlight shone on them, but they did not dare to stop and ran desperately until they were far away from the terrible cave.

"We finally escaped." Suna collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. Her face was covered in sweat and dirt, her hair was messy, but her eyes revealed a trace of relief at having survived.

Lin Yu was also exhausted and sat down on the side, staring into the distance, his mind full of thoughts. "But this is not over yet. We have to find out the secret behind this." His voice was low and firm, and his eyes flashed with determination.

At this time, the surrounding forest is still silent and mysterious, as if hiding countless unknown dangers and secrets. But Lin Yu and Suna know that they have no way out and must bravely face everything and uncover the truth of this mysterious incident...
