Chapter 132 The End of the Curse

The End of the Curse

Lin Yu and Suna stared in horror at the huge black shadow at the end of the passage. The shadow seemed to be a dark entity, emitting a creepy aura. Their eyes widened, their pupils contracted with extreme fear, and their bodies involuntarily stepped back.

The shadow moved slowly, each step carrying a heavy sense of oppression, as if to crush their souls. Lin Yu and Suna's breathing became rapid and disordered, and the sound of their heartbeats was particularly clear in the silent passage.

Just as the shadow was about to pounce on them, Lin Yu's eyes suddenly focused on a symbol on the shadow's body. The symbol was looming on the shadow's body, but it made Lin Yu feel inexplicably familiar.

"Suna, don't be afraid, maybe this is the key to lifting the curse!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice trembling, but with a hint of firm hope.

Su Na grabbed Lin Yu's arm tightly, her nails dug deep into Lin Yu's clothes, and said in a trembling voice: "Lin Yu, are you sure? This is too risky!" Her eyes were full of fear and doubt, but at the same time there was a desire to survive.

Lin Yu took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. His mind raced, recalling the clues and patterns he had seen on the mural. "We have no choice but to give it a try! If we don't, there's no hope!" His eyes grew firm, as if he had already made up his mind.

He raised his flashlight, shining its feeble beam directly at the symbol. Under the light, the symbol appeared even more mysterious and eerie. Lin Yu began to recite the curse-breaking spell he had deduced from the mural. His voice trembled at first, but as he repeated the spell, it grew firmer and more forceful.

Suna nervously watched the shadow's reaction from the side, her hands clasped together, silently praying. "Please, this must work, please let us get out alive." Her heart was filled with fear and anticipation.

As Lin Yu chanted the spell, the shadow gradually stopped moving. Its forward momentum suddenly stopped, as if held in place by an invisible force. The surrounding darkness slowly receded, as if dispelled by light. The passageway gradually became spacious and bright, no longer as cramped and oppressive as before.

"Did it work?" Suna looked at the changes around her in disbelief, with a hint of surprise and confusion in her voice.

Lin Yu did not answer. He continued to recite the spell with concentration, not daring to relax even a little. His forehead was covered with beads of sweat, which slid down his cheeks, but he had no time to wipe them off.

At the last moment, the shadow let out a dull roar and vanished completely into thin air. At the same moment, they heard the clear chirping of birds, a sound like heavenly music, breaking the long-standing silence. Sunlight streamed in from the entrance, warm and soft, illuminating their exhausted, frightened faces.

Lin Yu and Suna supported each other and stumbled towards the passage. Their bodies had become weak due to the long period of tension and fear, but at this moment, their hearts were filled with joy and hope.

"We did it, the curse is lifted!" Lin Yu hugged Suna excitedly, his voice filled with joy and excitement of surviving the disaster.

Suna burst into tears of joy, tears pouring out like a flood. "Yes, we can finally live a normal life." Her voice was choked with sobs, and her body was shaking with sobs.

When they emerged from the passage, the sight before them brought them immense relief. The forest, once filled with terror and uncertainty, now seemed vibrant under the sunlight. Birds sang cheerfully in the branches, and the breeze rustled the leaves.

Lin Yu took a deep breath of fresh air, feeling the warmth of the sun on his body. "Suna, this all seems like a nightmare, but we finally woke up."

Suna nodded and said, "I never want to go through something like this again. We must cherish our peaceful life in the future."

Hand in hand, they slowly left the forest, each step a farewell to the horrors of the past.

Looking back, the forest still stood there quietly, as if guarding its secrets. But for Lin Yu and Suna, this place was no longer a symbol of fear, but a testimony to their victory over difficulties and embrace of new life.

From then on, Lin Yu and Suna never set foot in that mysterious and terrifying forest again. Their lives were filled with sunshine and hope, and each day became incomparably precious. They learned to cherish each other and the ordinary and beautiful life, never again allowing fear and the unknown to rob them of their inner peace and happiness.
