Chapter 134: The Secret of the Giant Salamander

The Secret of the Giant Salamander

Just as the giant salamander was about to pounce on them, Lin Yu's brain raced. In this crucial moment, he quickly bent down, picked up a stone, and threw it with all his strength. The stone traced an arc in the darkness, hitting the cave wall with a crisp sound. The sound was particularly abrupt in the silent cave, successfully attracting the giant salamander's attention. Its huge body suddenly turned and pounced in the direction of the stone.

"Suna, run!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice echoing in the cave with endless urgency and tension. His heart was beating rapidly, as if it was about to jump out of his throat.

Suna was startled by the sudden shout, but her body instinctively obeyed Lin Yu's command and turned to run out of the cave. Her breathing was rapid and disordered, and every breath seemed to be desperately trying to absorb the oxygen for survival.

The two men ran desperately in the darkness. The ground under their feet was rugged and uneven. Their footsteps echoed in the cave, accompanied by their pounding heartbeats.

"What should we do? It keeps chasing us!" Suna gasped as she ran, her voice filled with fear and despair. The terrifying figure and hideous face of the giant salamander kept flashing through her mind, and her legs almost lost their strength.

Lin Yu ran while trying to keep himself calm. His eyes quickly scanned the surrounding environment, looking for any possible way out or shelter. Suddenly, his eyes caught an abandoned wooden house not far ahead.

"Hurry, go into the wooden house!" Lin Yu shouted loudly. He pulled Su Na's hand and ran desperately towards the wooden house.

The two of them rushed into the wooden house as if they had grabbed the last straw. Lin Yu turned around quickly and closed the shaky door with all his strength.

However, the giant salamander seemed unwilling to let them go. It chased after them, and its huge body slammed against the door of the wooden house, making a loud noise. Every time it hit the door, the wooden house trembled, as if it would collapse at any time.

"This is not a solution. We have to think about how to deal with it." Lin Yu frowned, his eyes full of anxiety and determination. He knew that they could not sit idly by and wait for death. They had to find a way out of this predicament.

"But how can we deal with such a huge giant salamander?" Suna cried, her body shaking and tears welling up in her eyes. She had never experienced such a terrifying scene before, and her heart was filled with helplessness and fear.

Lin Yu didn't answer. He began to search the cabin, hoping to find something useful. The cabin was filled with a rotten smell, and dust and cobwebs were everywhere. His eyes swept over the miscellaneous items piled in the corner and suddenly found a worn hunting rifle and some bullets.

"There's hope!" A hint of surprise flashed in Lin Yu's eyes. He quickly ran over, picked up the shotgun, and began to load the bullets. His hands trembled a little because of nervousness, but he forced himself to calm down and concentrate on completing each movement.

At this moment, the giant salamander launched another violent attack. This time, a big hole was knocked open in the door. Its huge head stretched out from the gap, and a fishy breath spewed out of its mouth.

"Suna, stay away!" Lin Yu shouted loudly. He raised his hunting rifle and aimed at the giant salamander's head.

Suna quickly hid in the corner of the wooden house, covered her ears with her hands, closed her eyes, and dared not look at the scene in front of her.

Lin Yu took a deep breath and pulled the trigger. "Bang!" A loud bang echoed in the cabin. The recoil of the hunting rifle caused a sharp pain in Lin Yu's shoulder, but he didn't care about that and stared at the giant salamander closely.

The giant salamander was hit by the shot and let out a painful roar. Blood was flowing from its head, but it did not retreat. Instead, it wanted to rush into the wooden house even more frantically.

Lin Yu reloaded his bullets and prepared to shoot. He had only one thought in his mind, which was to protect Suna and defeat this terrifying giant salamander.

At this moment, the giant salamander suddenly stopped attacking, its body slowly retreated and disappeared into the darkness.

Lin Yu and Suna did not dare to let their guard down. They waited quietly, not knowing whether the giant salamander would come back.

After a long time, there was no movement outside.

"Maybe it's gone." Lin Yu said softly, with a hint of fatigue and uncertainty in his voice.

Suna came out from the corner and threw herself into Lin Yu's arms. "Lin Yu, I'm so scared."

Lin Yu patted Suna's back gently and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, everything is fine now."

However, what they don't know is that behind this giant salamander, there is a bigger secret hidden...
