Mysterious Laboratory
Lin Yu and Suna cautiously approached the cave from which the strange noises came. A thin layer of mist filled the cave entrance. The mist seemed to have life, slowly flowing, making it impossible to see the true situation inside the cave. Suna looked at the mysterious cave entrance, and fear surged in her heart like a tide.
"Lin Yu, I don't dare go in." Su Na's voice trembled, like an autumn leaf blown by a cold wind. Her steps seemed to be dragged down by lead blocks, unable to move forward. Her eyes were filled with fear and hesitation. Her hands unconsciously clutched the corners of her clothes tightly, and her body was trembling slightly.
"Don't be afraid, Suna. We've come this far. We'll never find the truth unless we go in." Lin Yu took a deep breath, trying to calm his pounding heart. Although his voice was firm, his heart was filled with nervousness and anxiety. He could sense Suna's fear, but he knew they had no way out. Lin Yu suppressed his fear, took Suna's hand, and slowly walked into the cave.
Upon entering the cave, a pungent chemical odor hit them, so strong it was almost impossible to breathe. They couldn't help coughing, tears streaming down their cheeks. The walls of the cave were covered with all sorts of strange instruments and tubes, each flashing an eerie light: some green, some blue, and some red. The interplay of lights made the entire cave seem even more eerie and terrifying.
"What on earth is this place?" Suna asked in horror, her voice echoing in the empty cave, sounding particularly shrill. Her eyes were wide open, filled with fear and confusion about this strange and terrifying environment.
Just then, they heard footsteps. The footsteps were heavy and slow, echoing in the empty cave, and every step seemed to be stepping on their hearts.
"Who's there?" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice trembling a little, but more of it was a pretense to hide his fear.
However, no one answered, only the footsteps were getting closer and closer, as if the footsteps of death were gradually approaching.
Suddenly, a dark figure flashed past them, bringing with it a gust of cool wind. The cool wind was like icy fingers, gently brushing against their backs, giving them goose bumps.
"Ah!" Suna screamed in fright, her voice almost piercing Lin Yu's eardrum.
Lin Yu turned around quickly, shone the flashlight around frantically, but saw nothing. His heartbeat accelerated rapidly, as if it was about to jump out of his throat.
"This is terrible, Lin Yu, let's leave quickly." Su Na grabbed Lin Yu's arm tightly, her nails almost digging into his flesh. Her voice was filled with tears, and tears welled up in her eyes.
"No, we have to find out the secret here." Lin Yu said firmly. Although his legs were shaking slightly, his eyes revealed a stubbornness and determination. He knew that if they left like this, everything they had experienced would be meaningless, and the terrifying giant salamander might continue to threaten people's lives.
They continued to walk deeper into the cave, each step filled with fear and hesitation. The ground beneath their feet was damp and slippery, as if they could fall at any moment. The temperature in the cave was getting lower and lower, and their breath turned into white mist.
Finally, they discovered a massive laboratory filled with various experimental equipment and enormous glass containers. The equipment was complex and mysterious, exuding a chilling aura. Inside the glass containers seemed to be some strange biological specimens, appearing particularly sinister in the dim light.
"Look, what is that?" Suna said, pointing to a container, her voice becoming shrill with fear.
Lin Yu approached and took a look, his face instantly turning pale. Inside the container was a half-human, half-salamander monster specimen, its body twisted and deformed, its face a painful and hideous expression. Lin Yu's stomach churned, and he almost vomited.
"What...what is this?" Lin Yu's voice trembled, his mind in a mess.
Suna covered her mouth, tears streaming down her face. "It's horrible! This is a sin of humanity."
At this moment, a low roar suddenly came from the laboratory, and the sound seemed to come from the depths of hell...
