The Fast and the Furious
Lin Yu and Suna were driving down the highway again, the wind howling outside the car like the roar of an angry beast. However, the SUV behind them was still chasing them, like a thorn in their flesh, and they couldn't shake it off.
"Lin Yu, they haven't given up yet!" Suna looked back, her voice filled with anxiety. Her eyes were bloodshot, her face pale as paper, and her hands were tightly gripping the edge of the seat, her knuckles white from the strain. Lin Yu gritted his teeth, the veins on his forehead bulging. "No matter what, we can't let them catch us." His eyes were firm and resolute, staring intently at the road ahead, his hands tightly gripping the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white from the effort. His heart was filled with anger and resentment. He didn't understand why they had to endure such a hunt, why fate had to treat them this way.
Suddenly, a torrential downpour began. The pea-sized raindrops slammed against the car window, making a crackling sound like countless bullets being fired. In an instant, my vision became blurred, and the whole world seemed to be shrouded in a layer of water.
"This rain comes at a really bad time!" Lin Yu tried hard to see the road through the drizzle, his eyes narrowed into slits, trying to find a glimmer of direction in the vast rain. The rain gathered into a rushing stream on the windshield. The wipers swung desperately, but still couldn't completely clear the rain.
The road became slippery and the jeep began to lose control. The tires slipped on the flooded road and the body of the jeep swayed from side to side.
"Lin Yu, be careful!" Su Na screamed, her voice drowned out by the sound of rain and wind, seeming so small and helpless. Her heart seemed to be tightly grasped by an invisible big hand, and she could hardly breathe.
Lin Yu desperately controlled the steering wheel. The sweat on his forehead mixed with the rain kept flowing down, flowing into his eyes, stinging his eyeballs, but he didn't dare to relax. The jeep swayed from side to side on the road, like a lonely boat drifting in the wind and waves.
Just then, a sharp turn appeared ahead. The road had become muddy from the rain, and the trees along the road were shaking violently in the wind and rain, as if they would fall down at any moment.
"Hold on tight!" Lin Yu yelled, his voice filled with tension and determination. He swerved the steering wheel, causing the jeep's tires to rub against the ground with a harsh sound. The jeep tilted, almost turning over.
The jeep turned a corner in the rain with a terrifying jeep movement. The wheels sent up a huge splash of water, which splashed onto the car window, instantly obscuring the view. Lin Yu's heart was in his throat, and he felt like his heart was about to stop beating.
An SUV behind us was going too fast and lost control while turning, flipping over on the side of the road. The friction between the car body and the ground produced dazzling sparks, and the sound of twisting metal was particularly clear in the rain.
"Great, one less!" Suna said excitedly, with a hint of surprise and hope in her voice. But her eyes were still filled with fear, because the remaining SUVs were still chasing them.
But the remaining off-road vehicles continued to pursue them, their lights flashing in the rain like the eyes of demons.
The rain was getting heavier, as if it was going to drown the whole world. From time to time, a flash of lightning would flash across the sky, illuminating the dark night sky, followed by a deafening thunder that seemed to shake the heavens and the earth apart.
Suddenly, Lin Yu discovered that the road ahead was flooded, forming a vast ocean. The originally flat road disappeared, replaced by a turbid water surface with branches and debris floating on the water.
"There's no other way, we can only rush forward!" Lin Yu took a deep breath, his eyes revealing a hint of despair and determination. He knew it was a gamble, but they had no other choice.
He stepped on the accelerator and the jeep rushed into the water, splashing a huge splash. The water quickly submerged the wheels and the engine roared in pain, as if protesting this risky move.
"The car is stalling!" Suna shouted, her voice filled with fear and desperation.
Lin Yu's face turned grave. He kept trying to restart the car, but to no avail. The engine's sound grew weaker and weaker, until it finally stopped.
At this time, the off-road vehicles were gradually approaching, and the sound of their engines was particularly clear in the rain.
"It's over, we can't escape." Tears welled up in Suna's eyes and her body kept shaking.
Lin Yu looked around the car, and suddenly, he saw a pistol under the seat.
"Suna, don't be afraid, we still have a chance." Lin Yu picked up the pistol, opened the car door, and stood in the water.
The rain hit his body madly, and his clothes were instantly soaked, but his eyes remained firm.
The off-road vehicle stopped in front of them, and the people in the vehicle got out one after another, weapons in their hands, and approached them step by step.
"Put down your weapons and come back with us!" shouted a man in black.
Lin Yu raised his pistol and said, "Don't come over here, or I'll shoot!"
The man in black sneered, "Do you think you can escape?"
