A Yellowed Diary
Lin Yu, Suna, and the old man lost themselves in thought at this eerie scene. The air was filled with the aura of death, making them feel incredibly oppressive. The room was dim and eerie, with a faint light filtering through the cracks in the window, illuminating the chaotic scene. Blood dried on the wall, forming shocking streaks that seemed to tell of the horror of that night.
The three of them searched the room, trying to find some useful clues from this chaos. Every corner was filled with unknowns and fears, and every object might hide key information.
Suddenly, Lin Yu found a yellowed diary in a corner. It was buried under a pile of debris, with only a corner sticking out. Lin Yu's heartbeat quickened, as if the diary held the key to a mystery. He cautiously walked over, squatted down, and with trembling hands, gently pushed aside the debris and retrieved the diary.
He carefully picked up the diary, as if holding a fragile treasure. The cover of the diary was worn, the paper yellowed, and it exuded a sense of antiquity. Lin Yu gently opened the first page. The handwriting on it was a little blurry, but he could still make out some key information.
"This seems to be this family's diary. Maybe it contains the answers we want." Lin Yu said, his voice was particularly clear in the silent room, with a hint of anticipation and nervousness.
They sat together, as if holding a mysterious ceremony. The atmosphere in the room became increasingly solemn, and their breathing and heartbeats seemed to be clearly audible.
Su Na leaned against Lin Yu, her eyes fixed on the words in the diary, her body trembling slightly. The old man sat opposite her, his eyes focused and deep, as if he could see the truth hidden behind these words.
The diary begins with a record of the family's ordinary yet heartwarming daily life. Their laughter, their arguments, their hopes and dreams are vividly displayed on these pages. However, as the diary continues, the atmosphere gradually becomes eerie.
"Today, we discovered a strange place in the mountains. The land there seems to have a mysterious power." Lin Yu read softly, his voice echoing in the quiet room.
"Is this the beginning of their discovery of Tai Sui?" Suna asked nervously, her voice full of anxiety.
Lin Yu didn't answer and continued reading. "We dug curiously, and finally, we found something huge. It looked like a piece of meat, but it had a strange texture. We didn't know what it was, but we felt an inexplicable fear in our hearts."
The old man frowned and said, "This must be Tai Sui."
"Since then, some strange things started happening at home. I could always hear strange noises at night, like someone crying or whispering." Lin Yu's voice became low, as if infected by the description in the diary.
Suna's face turned paler. "This is horrible."
"The children became unusually silent, their eyes filled with fear. My wife and I tried to comfort them, but to no avail." Lin Yu continued reading, his hands trembling slightly.
"Then what? What happened then?" Suna asked anxiously.
Lin Yu took a deep breath and continued reading. "One night, I saw a dark shadow wandering in the yard. When I approached, it disappeared. Since then, my body has become increasingly weak, as if being eroded by an invisible force."
The room fell into a brief silence, the only sound being their heavy breathing.
"This is all so weird. Is it really because of this Tai Sui?" Suna's voice was filled with tears.
Lin Yu didn't answer and continued to flip through his diary. "We tried to send Tai Sui away, but it seemed to have a life of its own and kept following us."
The old man suddenly said, "This Tai Sui may have some evil power that was accidentally awakened by them."
"Today, I saw a terrible sight. A face grew on Tai Sui and it smiled at me. That smile was creepy." Lin Yu couldn't help shuddering when he read this.
Suna screamed, "Stop reading, I can't stand it."
Lin Yu patted her shoulder comfortingly and continued reading. "Our livestock began to die inexplicably, and our crops withered. We felt hopeless, as if the world was about to end."
"What is going on? Why is this happening?" Suna muttered to herself.
"Just last night, that dark shadow appeared again. It walked into our room. I couldn't move and could only watch it..." The diary ended abruptly here, and the pages that followed were blank.
"Why is it gone? What happened next?" Suna asked anxiously.
Lin Yu shook his head. "I don't know, but this has given us a lot of clues."
At this moment, Suna found a strange pattern on the last few pages of the diary. The pattern looked like an ancient spell. The lines of the pattern were twisted and complex, exuding a mysterious atmosphere.
"What is this? This pattern feels very important." Suna frowned, her eyes were deeply attracted by the pattern, as if she was trapped in it.
Lin Yu thought for a moment, "Maybe this is the key to solving the mystery. We have to find the local elders to see if they know the meaning of this pattern."
So, they took the diary full of mysteries and began to ask around in the village. The atmosphere in the village was still gloomy and terrifying. When the villagers saw them, they avoided them from a distance, as if they carried some kind of ominous aura.
Finally, an elderly man over 70 years old changed his expression drastically after seeing this pattern.
