Chapter 196: Tai Sui is transferred

Tai Sui is Transferred

Just as the three of them were lost in despair, the air around them seemed to freeze, and the moonlight grew even colder. Suddenly, a figure appeared before them, like a ghost. It was silent and motionless, as if condensed directly from the darkness.

This was a mysterious figure in a black robe. His entire body was shrouded in the vast black robe, and his face was obscured by shadows, making it difficult to see his features. The black robe fluttered slightly in the wind, as if blending into the night, giving people a sense of mystery.

"You are not hopeless." The mysterious man's voice was deep and magnetic, as if it came from a deep valley, carrying an irresistible attraction. His voice was calm, but on this silent mountaintop, it was remarkably clear. Every word was like a stone dropped into the lake of despair in the three people's hearts, stirring up layers of ripples.

Lin Yu eyed him warily, leaning forward slightly in a defensive stance. His eyes were filled with suspicion and wariness as he asked, "Who are you? Why are you here?" His voice was tense, and his heartbeat quickened at the sudden appearance of this mysterious figure. Various possibilities raced through his mind, speculating on this mysterious figure's intentions and identity.

The mysterious man chuckled softly, his laughter drifting on the night wind, carrying a hint of elusive meaning. "I'm here to help you. Tai Sui has been moved to another place. Follow me." His words were concise and clear, but they shocked the three of them.

Despite their doubts, the three decided to follow the mysterious man. After all, at this desperate moment, they were unwilling to let go of even the slightest glimmer of hope.

They followed the mysterious man along a winding path. The trees beside the road cast eerie shadows in the moonlight, like monsters with bared fangs and claws. The wind rustled through the trees, making a sound like the whispers of countless ghosts.

Su Na's heartbeat was like a drumbeat. Her hands tightly grasped the corner of Lin Yu's clothes, and she said in a trembling voice: "Lin Yu, I'm scared. Can this person really be trusted?" Her eyes were full of fear and anxiety, and every step she took seemed to be towards an unknown abyss.

Lin Yu felt Suna's fear. He patted her hand gently and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, Suna. We just need to be careful." But in fact, his heart was also full of anxiety. He just knew that at this time, he had to remain calm and give Suna some courage and confidence.

The old man remained silent, his eyes fixed on the mysterious man's back, his grip on the dagger tighter. He had experienced too many ups and downs, and knew that beneath the seemingly calm surface, there were often great dangers hidden.

The mysterious man led the way in front, his steps light and quick, as if he knew the terrain here very well.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, they arrived at a deep cave. A thin layer of mist hung over the entrance, and the moonlight could only barely illuminate a small part of the cave. Inside, the cave was pitch black and bottomless, like the mouth of a giant beast, waiting to devour them.

"Tai Sui is inside, but be careful, there are many dangers in there." said the mysterious man, his voice echoing at the entrance of the cave, seeming even more eerie and terrifying.

Su Na tugged fearfully at Lin Yu's clothes, her body trembling. "Are we really going in?" Her voice was tearful, her eyes filled with fear and hesitation. She stared at the dark cave entrance, almost feeling the chill emanating from within.

Lin Yu looked from the old man to the mysterious man, a fierce struggle brewing within him. He knew that entering the cave might mean facing more unknown dangers, but if they didn't go in, they would never be able to lift Tai Sui's curse. Finally, he gritted his teeth and said, "Go in!" His voice was firm and resolute, as if to encourage himself and his companions.

The old man nodded slightly, "Let's go, it's better to be careful."

They entered the cave cautiously. A damp, decaying smell filled the air. The ground beneath their feet was uneven, with small rocks occasionally rolling down and making crisp noises. Water dripped from the cave walls from time to time, the dripping sound particularly clear in the silence.

As they went deeper, the light inside the cave grew dimmer and dimmer, almost pitch black. Lin Yu pulled out a flashlight from his backpack. The faint light flickered in the darkness, illuminating only a small area around them.

Suddenly, a cold wind blew and Suna couldn't help but scream.

"Don't be afraid, it's just the wind." Lin Yu comforted, but his own heartbeat was also rapidly accelerating.

Just then, a huge bat flew over their heads, creating a gust of air.

"Ah!" Suna screamed again.

"Calm down, Suna!" the old man shouted.

As they continued to walk forward, the road beneath their feet became increasingly slippery. Lin Yu walked cautiously, when suddenly, he felt his feet go empty and he fell forward.

"Lin Yu!" Su Na and the old man exclaimed at the same time.

Fortunately, Lin Yu grabbed a stone nearby in time and stabilized his body.

"Be careful, there is a pit here." Lin Yu said, panting.

They moved forward more cautiously, and suddenly, a low roar came from the front.

"What is this?" Suna's voice was filled with fear.

The mysterious man stopped and said, "It's the monster guarding Tai Sui. Prepare to fight."

Lin Yu clenched the wooden stick in his hand, the old man also raised the dagger, and Su Na followed closely behind them.

A gigantic, hideous monster slowly emerged from the darkness, its eyes flashing red and hot air gushing from its mouth.

Lin Yu took a deep breath and said, "Don't be afraid, we will do it together!"

They rushed towards the monster and started a fierce fight with it...
