The Mystery of Tai Sui
They continued groping forward in the darkness, each step filled with caution. The ground beneath their feet was slippery and muddy, like a gaping maw devouring life. The weak flashlight flickered in the darkness, illuminating only a small area ahead. The surrounding darkness was like thick ink, threatening to engulf them at any moment.
Suddenly, Lin Yu's flashlight shone on an object that emitted a strange light. The light flickered, revealing a creepy aura.
"Could that be Tai Sui?" Suna asked in a trembling voice. Her voice was particularly clear in the silent cave, filled with endless fear and anticipation. Her eyes were fixed on the ball of light, and her body involuntarily shrank back.
They approached cautiously, taking every step with extreme caution, as if afraid of disturbing some terrifying being. As the distance shortened, the outline of the object gradually became clearer.
They discovered that it was the Tai Sui they had been searching for. It looked like a giant, translucent mass of flesh, its surface slowly wriggling, as if it had a life of its own. It exuded a nauseating odor, a mixture of rotting corpses and pungent chemicals that made one's stomach churn.
"Is this Tai Sui? Why does it feel so disgusting?" the old man frowned. Disgust crossed his face, but a complex mixture of relief and hope lingered in his eyes. He gripped the dagger tightly, his knuckles turning white from the strain.
At this moment, the ground around Tai Sui began to shake, and a dull roar came from underground. Then, many vines emerged from the ground, like giant green pythons, and quickly attacked them.
"Be careful!" Lin Yu shouted loudly. His voice was full of fear and tension.
They dodged the vines in a chaotic scene. Suna screamed and ran, her heart beating so fast it felt like it was about to burst out of her chest. "Help! Help!" Her voice echoed through the cave, filled with despair.
Lin Yu waved the stick in his hand, trying to repel the vines. "Don't panic, Suna!" He shouted loudly, but his forehead was also covered with sweat.
The old man nimbly moved among the vines, looking for an opportunity to attack. "Damn these things!" he cursed, his heart filled with anger.
The mysterious man stood aside, observing the situation calmly. His eyes were deep and sharp, as if he was pondering a strategy.
"We must cut these vines first before we can get Tai Sui." said the mysterious man, his voice steady and powerful.
Upon hearing this, Lin Yu and the old man immediately grabbed their weapons and engaged in a fierce battle with the vines. Lin Yu swung his stick vigorously, roaring with each blow. "I won't let you succeed!" His eyes were filled with determination and resolve.
The old man, relying on years of experience, accurately stabbed the key part of the vine. "Watch me!" he shouted.
The vines attacked them frantically, some entwining their arms and legs, trying to drag them down. Lin Yu felt a huge force pulling him, and he struggled desperately. "Let me go!" He gritted his teeth and struggled to break free from the vines.
Suna watched in horror from the side, but also tried her best to cheer them on. "Come on! You can do it!"
After a hard fight, they finally cut through all the vines. The ground was littered with broken vines, green juice flowing everywhere, emitting a pungent smell.
Lin Yu was breathing heavily, his body was exhausted, but his eyes were still determined. "Finally..." he said.
The old man collapsed to the ground due to exhaustion. "This was truly a fierce battle."
Lin Yu slowly walked towards Tai Sui, took a deep breath, and prepared to take him away. His heartbeat quickened again, wondering what unknown dangers awaited them next.
