Chapter 201 The Identity of the Mysterious Woman

The Identity of the Mysterious Woman

The nine elders stared in the direction the mysterious woman had vanished, their eyes filled with confusion and resentment. The wind from Heizhu Valley howled, rustling their clothes as if mocking their helplessness.

"Who on earth is this woman? She's so powerful she easily subdued this giant python." Elder Zhang frowned, the wrinkles on his face deepening. His eyes revealed a deep worry, as he kept recalling the astonishing scene when the woman appeared, the giant python completely powerless before her.

"No matter what, we can't just let her take the inner elixir. This matter is of grave importance; we must thoroughly investigate her origins." Elder Li spoke firmly, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white from the exertion. He was filled with a sense of responsibility, knowing full well that if the inner elixir fell into the wrong hands, it could cause unimaginable disaster.

The director stood there, silent, his gaze deep and solemn, as if contemplating some crucial decision. After a moment, he slowly spoke, "Let's return to the bureau and discuss this matter carefully. This woman's appearance is extremely strange; perhaps there's a larger conspiracy behind this." His voice was a little erratic in the wind, but it was filled with unquestionable authority.

Everyone nodded, and with doubts and heavy hearts, they set off on their journey home. Along the way, everyone was silent, and the atmosphere was so oppressive that it made people breathless.

Back at Bureau 749, they immediately launched an intensive investigation. However, they had no clue about the woman's identity. It was as if she had appeared out of nowhere, leaving no trace.

Just when everyone was at a loss, Lin Yu stepped forward. Lin Yu was a young and promising member of the bureau, smart and observant, and was loved and trusted by everyone.

"Seniors, perhaps we can start from the place where the giant python appeared and look for clues. There may be some details there that we have overlooked." Lin Yu's voice was crisp and firm, and his eyes flashed with confidence.

Everyone thought it made sense, so after some preparation, they headed to Heizhu Valley in Sichuan again.

When they once again set foot on this mysterious land, a familiar yet unfamiliar feeling washed over them. Heizhu Valley was still eerie and filled with thick fog. The sun struggled to penetrate the gaps between the leaves, casting mottled light and shadows.

In Heizhugou, they carefully searched every corner. Lin Yu walked in front, his sharp eyes scanning the ground, tree trunks, and rocks. Suddenly, he found some strange footprints in the wet soil.

"Dear seniors, come and see! These footprints are very new, they must have been left by that woman." Lin Yu shouted excitedly.

Everyone gathered around and carefully examined the footprints. The shape and size of the footprints showed the woman's graceful figure, but they also exuded a mysterious aura.

"By following these footprints, we may be able to find her whereabouts," said Elder Li.

So they followed the footprints carefully. Along the way, the sounds of wind, birdsong and rustling leaves intertwined together, as if forming a mysterious movement.

Just as they were concentrating on following the footprints, they were suddenly attacked by a group of mysterious people.

These mysterious men were dressed in black cloaks, wrapped tightly from head to toe, their faces invisible. They suddenly emerged from the woods, brandishing gleaming weapons, and attacked the nine elders and Lin Yu without a word.

"Be careful!" the director shouted.

Lin Yu quickly drew his sword from his waist and charged at the mysterious figure at the front. His swordsmanship was sharp, each move imbued with power. "Who are you?" Lin Yu demanded loudly as he fended off the attack.

The mysterious man did not answer, but attacked even more frantically.

Elder Zhang and Elder Li stood back to back, fending off attacks from all sides. Their moves were masterful and their coordination was seamless. "No matter who you are, don't even think about stopping us today!" Elder Zhang roared.

The nine elders and Lin Yu struggled to resist the mysterious man's attacks. For a moment, swords flashed, spells shone, and the air was filled with tension and murderous intent.

The director cast a powerful spell, and rays of light shot out from his hands, repelling several mysterious men. But the mysterious men seemed to be unafraid of death and surged forward in waves.

After a hard fight, finally, with the concerted efforts of everyone, the mysterious man was defeated.

"These people obviously don't want us to continue investigating." Lin Yu said, panting, his forehead covered with sweat and his clothes were torn in several places.

"No matter how many obstacles there are, we must get to the bottom of this." Elder Zhang's eyes were firm. He looked in the direction where the mysterious man disappeared, and his determination became even stronger.

They continued following the trail and came to an ancient cave hidden deep in the valley. The entrance of the cave was covered by vines and weeds, and it was difficult to find without careful observation.

The cave was filled with a mysterious atmosphere that made people shudder. Strange lights flickered on the cave walls, as if countless pairs of eyes were watching them from the dark.

"Everyone be careful." The director warned, his voice echoing in the cave, sounding particularly eerie.

They walked into the cave cautiously, the ground beneath their feet was wet and rugged. Lin Yu's torch illuminated the road ahead, and suddenly, he found a yellowed ancient book.

The cover of the ancient book was already badly damaged, and it was covered with dust and cobwebs. Lin Yu gently picked up the ancient book and blew away the dust.

"It seems to contain information related to the mysterious woman." Lin Yu said.

Everyone gathered around, hoping to find the key to solving the mystery from ancient books.
