Truth and Choice
The woman lay unconscious on the ground, a faint, mysterious aura lingering around her, as if guarding her final secret. Everyone stood by, their faces weary and filled with doubt. The director's gaze was fixed on the woman, his brow furrowed, his heart churning.
"What should we do now? Although she's evil, she might have hidden reasons," Suna said softly. Her voice was particularly weak in the empty space, carrying a hint of pity and confusion. Her eyes were filled with worry for the woman's fate, and her hands unconsciously intertwined.
Lin Yu wiped the sweat from his face, which mixed with dust and left streaks of dirt. He took a deep breath and said, "No matter what, take her back to Bureau 749 first, and then we'll make plans." His voice was firm and decisive. Although there was a hint of confusion in his eyes, he knew he had to make a decision now.
Everyone agreed and set off on their journey home with the woman. Along the way, the atmosphere was dull and depressing. The sun shone through the clouds, but it couldn't dispel the gloom in their hearts.
After returning to Bureau 749, the woman was placed in a special room. She lay quietly on her bed, like a sleeping princess awaiting fate's awakening. After a while, she gradually regained consciousness. She slowly opened her eyes, the fierceness of before gone, replaced by a hint of confusion and helplessness. She gazed at the unfamiliar surroundings, feeling a surge of unease.
"What do you want?" the woman asked weakly, with a hint of fear and vigilance in her voice. She tried to sit up, but her body was so weak that she could only lean against the headboard.
The director sat in the chair in front of her, his eyes calm and penetrating. "We don't want to be your enemy, we just want to get to the bottom of this matter." The director's voice was steady and gentle, trying to ease the woman's guard.
The woman was silent for a moment, a flicker of struggle in her eyes. Finally, as if making up her mind, she slowly told the truth.
"The Wu tribe once fell apart due to an internal power struggle." The woman's voice was low and sad, as if she was lost in painful memories. "Once a united and harmonious tribe, greed and lust for power tore it apart." Her eyes were filled with pain and resentment.
"Evil forces seized the opportunity and rose to power, seizing most of the witch clan's power," the woman continued, her hands gripping the bedsheets tightly, her knuckles white with the strain. "They are ruthless and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. They vainly attempt to exploit the Cockscomb Python's inner elixir to gain even greater power and ultimately rule the world."
Everyone felt mixed emotions upon hearing this. They had never imagined that the Wu Clan had such a dark history and terrifying conspiracy hidden behind it.
"Then why don't you cooperate with us?" Lin Yu couldn't help but ask, his eyes full of confusion and puzzlement.
The woman gave a wry smile, one filled with bitterness and helplessness. "I no longer trust anyone. In my lone battle against evil, I've suffered countless betrayals and deceptions. I only believe I can save the witch clan." Her voice was tinged with despair and loneliness.
The director stood up and paced the room, thinking. His steps were heavy and slow, each one bearing the weight of immense pressure. "We now have two options: one is to hand her over to our superiors and let them decide how to deal with her; the other is to trust her and stand with her against the forces of evil." The director's voice echoed throughout the room, weighing heavily on everyone's heart.
Everyone fell into deep thought, and the atmosphere in the room became extremely solemn. Everyone was weighing the pros and cons and pondering the direction of the future.
Suna was the first to break the silence. She raised her head and looked at the director with a determined gaze. "I think we should give her a chance. After all, her original intention was to save the witch tribe. If we can work together, perhaps we can stop the evil forces' conspiracy and save more people." Suna's voice was filled with kindness and courage.
The old man also nodded. He stroked his gray beard and said slowly: "But we can't take it lightly and must act with caution. The power of the witch clan is mysterious and powerful. If we don't deal with it carefully, we may fall into an irretrievable situation." The old man's words were full of worry and reminders.
Lin Yu looked at the director, his eyes full of expectation and trust. "Director, you decide. We all trust your judgment."
The director paused, looking at the woman with a determined gaze. "We can cooperate with you, but you must promise not to act on your own and to obey orders. Only by uniting as one can we hope to defeat the evil forces." The director's voice was filled with determination and authority.
A flicker of gratitude flashed in the woman's eyes, tears welling up in her eyes. "As long as it can save the Wu Clan, I'm willing to do anything. I swear, I will follow your instructions and fight alongside you."
The atmosphere in the room relaxed slightly, but everyone knew that the road ahead was full of difficulties and obstacles, and a new adventure was about to begin...
