Mysterious Clues
Even after the flying insects vanished, everyone was still terrified. Their bodies still clung to the tension and fatigue of the fierce battle, their heartbeats remarkably clear in the quiet stone chamber. But their intense desire to survive and their sense of mission forced them to forge ahead and once again plunge into the search for clues.
Suna flipped through a dusty old book, her fingers gently brushing across the yellowed pages, as if touching a forgotten piece of history. Suddenly, her eyes lit up, a glimmer of surprise and hope. "Look, it seems to mention the castle's core secret." Her voice trembled, as if she feared this glimmer of hope would be shattered in an instant.
Everyone gathered around, their eyes eagerly focused on the ancient book. The text was ancient and obscure, its twisted strokes like a mysterious spell, leaving one bewildered. The words seemed alive, shimmering eerily in the dim light, giving off an invisible pressure.
The old man examined the words carefully, his brow furrowed, his eyes narrowed to slits, his expression focused as if he were trying to penetrate them. His fingers gently moved over the words, mumbling something to himself, trying to decipher their meaning. "This seems to be an ancient witch's secret language. It will take time to decipher." His voice was low and hoarse, carrying the wisdom and experience of age.
The director nodded, his eyes firm and calm. "Then everyone, take a break. Elder, please interpret it as quickly as possible." His voice echoed in the stone chamber, bringing a sense of comfort and confidence to everyone.
Everyone found a relatively clean place to sit down. Lin Yu took out a water bottle and handed it to Suna. "Drink some water and take it easy." His voice was gentle and concerned, his eyes full of worry for Suna.
Suna took the kettle, her hands trembling slightly with nervousness and fatigue. She took a sip, the cool liquid sliding down her throat, but her eyes never left the ancient book. "This may be our only hope. I must solve this mystery," she thought to herself.
The mysterious woman was alone in a corner of the stone chamber, her eyes deep and complex, as if she was thinking about something. Her heart was full of contradictions and struggles. On the one hand, she longed to save the witch clan, but on the other hand, she was wary of the abilities and intentions of these strangers.
After a while, the old man finally made a discovery. His voice, tinged with excitement and nervousness, broke the silence within the stone chamber. "I think I understand. It says here that the castle's secret is related to a mysterious ritual, and this ritual requires a specific time and place to be activated."
"What's the time and place?" Lin Yu asked anxiously. He leaned forward, his eyes full of desire and anxiety.
The old man shook his head, a trace of helplessness and confusion on his face. "It's not clear yet. Further research is needed. These characters are too ancient and complex, and the hidden information needs to be slowly unearthed."
At this moment, the stone chamber suddenly shook violently, and rocks kept falling from above. The sound of rocks hitting the ground echoed in the stone chamber like the sound of doomsday bells.
"Oh no! This stone chamber is going to collapse!" the director shouted, his voice filled with fear and determination.
Everyone stood up quickly, with panic expressions on their faces.
"Run!" Lin Yu shouted loudly. He pulled Su Na's hand and ran towards the exit.
Su Na's heartbeat accelerated instantly, her mind went blank, and she could only run desperately after Lin Yu.
The mysterious woman also reacted quickly and followed closely behind the crowd.
Rocks continued to fall, carving deep pits in the ground. The air was thick with dust, making it difficult to breathe.
"Be careful!" The director pushed the old man next to him away, and a huge stone flew over their heads.
"Thank you!" the old man said, panting.
Lin Yu and Suna accidentally fell while running, "Get up quickly!" the director shouted.
Lin Yu quickly helped Su Na up and continued running forward.
"What the hell is going on?" Suna cried, her voice drowned out by the noise around her.
"Don't ask, just escape first!" Lin Yu comforted.
They rushed around in the shaking stone chamber, looking for the exit.
Suddenly, a narrow passage appeared in front of us. The passage was filled with thick dust, making it difficult to see the road ahead.
"This way!" the director shouted.
Everyone entered the passage without hesitation.
The passage was so narrow that only one person could pass through. They crawled forward one by one, their hearts filled with fear and anxiety.
"Everyone, be careful of your heads!" the mysterious woman warned.
Lin Yu felt a cool breeze blowing on his head. He looked up and saw a sharp stone crumbling.
"Not good!" He didn't have time to think and pushed Suna forward.
The stone fell instantly and hit Lin Yu's leg.
"Lin Yu!" Suna screamed.
"Don't worry about me, just go away!" Lin Yu shouted in pain.
The director and the old man turned around and wanted to help Lin Yu.
"There's no time, let's go!" Lin Yu shouted loudly.
The director gritted his teeth and continued crawling forward with everyone.
Suna's tears kept flowing, and her heart was filled with pain and self-blame.
The mysterious woman in front continued to encourage everyone.
Finally, they saw a ray of light, which was the direction of the exit.
Everyone quickened their pace and crawled towards the light.
When they finally climbed out of the passage and came to a relatively safe place, they all collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.
"We...we escaped." Lin Yu said weakly.
The director looked at the collapsed stone chamber, his heart filled with worry. "But the clues are still inside. We must find a way to get back."
Everyone fell silent. They knew that the road ahead would be even more difficult.
