Gushu Trial
With a gentle wave of the witch's withered hand, the already swaying wooden house erupted in a furious commotion. The exotic flowers and plants seemed imbued with a frenzied power, twisting and thrashing wildly, their branches whipping and rubbing against each other, creating a chilling rustling sound. Amidst this chaos, several iridescent snakes emerged like ghosts. Their bodies were sturdy, each as thick as a bowl, their scales gleaming with a metallic sheen, reflecting an eerie glow in the sunlight. They held their heads high, their triangular heads swaying from side to side, their blood-red tongues flickering like lightning. The glint of light at their tips evoked the gaze of death, and a hissing sound, like a sharp whistle, pierced the still air, as if denouncing Lin Yu and Suna, and announcing their impending doom.
Lin Yu's heart suddenly tightened, and a strong sense of crisis surged in his heart. He subconsciously tightened the sword in his hand, and his knuckles turned white due to the force, as if this could add a little strength to himself. He stared at the big snake's every move with his eyes as sharp as a hawk, and his mind was like a high-speed machine, thinking about countermeasures at a rapid speed. "These snakes are probably also part of the witchcraft, and they are definitely not good people." He whispered to Suna. Although his voice was low, it was particularly clear in this tense atmosphere. "These snakes are agile and highly aggressive. We can't panic. We must find their attack patterns as soon as possible, otherwise it will be difficult to escape." His heart was full of anxiety, but years of adventure experience made him try to remain calm, knowing that panicking at this moment would only make the situation worse.
Suna nodded slightly, her once beautiful face now pale with nervousness, but beneath the hint of tension in her eyes lay an unwavering resolve. She formed hand seals with her hands, muttering something to herself as she prepared to cast a spell. "Yes, I will cooperate with you. I'm ready to attack at any moment." Her heartbeat was accelerating like a drum, but she managed to maintain composure with her unwavering willpower, knowing that at this crucial moment, even a moment of panic could be fatal.
One of the giant snakes, seemingly unable to hold back, launched the first attack. Like a streak of multicolored lightning, it swooped down on Lin Yu with lightning speed. Its speed was so swift that Lin Yu barely had time to react. He felt only a flash of multicolored light before his eyes, and a gust of fishy wind blew in his face. Lin Yu quickly dodged to the side, his body as light as a leaf in the wind, narrowly avoiding the snake's fatal blow. At the same time, he swung his sword at the snake, its blade gleaming coldly through the air. Filled with Lin Yu's fury and determination, it struck the snake fiercely. However, the blade grazed the snake's body, leaving only a shallow mark, as if it had struck against solid armor. "This snake's defense is too strong!" Lin Yu marveled inwardly, beads of sweat forming on his forehead and trickling down his cheeks. He realized that this battle was far more difficult than he had imagined.
Suna seized the opportunity, and at the moment the big snake attacked Lin Yu, a light spell shot out from her hand. The light was like a dazzling meteor, carrying powerful energy, shooting straight at the big snake. The big snake was hit by the light, and its body paused slightly, and it let out an angry hiss. But this brief pause was only a moment, and it quickly recovered, as if the previous attack was just an insignificant sting to it. The big snake turned its head angrily, its blood-red eyes locked on Suna, and it pounced on her like a cannonball. Seeing this, Suna hurriedly cast a defensive spell, and a transparent shield instantly appeared in front of her. The shield emitted a soft light, like a solid fortress, protecting her. The big snake hit the shield with a dull sound, and ripples appeared on the surface of the shield, as if a huge rock was thrown into a calm lake.
Not to be outdone, several other giant snakes twisted their bodies and attacked the two from different directions. For a moment, the surroundings were filled with the figures of giant snakes swimming, their colorful scales glittering in the sunlight, dazzling the eyes. Lin Yu and Suna stood back to back, watching their surroundings vigilantly, as if they were in a vortex full of danger. "If this goes on, we will be exhausted. We must find a way to break out!" Lin Yu shouted anxiously, his voice filled with a hint of unconcealed anxiety. He knew that the giant snakes were numerous and their defenses were formidable. If they continued to passively defend themselves, their physical strength and magic power would quickly be exhausted, and they would eventually die.
Suna pondered for a moment amidst her tense defense, her mind racing, trying to find the snake's weakness. Suddenly, her eyes lit up, and she said, "I've noticed these snakes seem to react to a certain frequency of sound. I'll try to disrupt them with sonic magic. You take this opportunity to strike their weakest points!" Her voice trembled slightly with nervousness, but her resolve was unmistakable.
Lin Yu nodded in agreement without hesitation. Suna closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and concentrated all her energy, gathering her magical power to its utmost. She muttered something, and a melodious, yet strangely fluctuating, sound wave emanated from her mouth. Like invisible ripples, the sound wave swirled and reverberated in the air, gradually spreading. Upon hearing the sound wave, the snakes' previously agile bodies stiffened noticeably, their frantic attack rhythm disrupted, and their movements became sluggish, as if trapped in some invisible constraint.
Lin Yu seized this golden opportunity and rushed towards one of the big snakes like a tiger descending from the mountain. He jumped high, his figure like black lightning in the sunlight, and the sword in his hand shone with an icy cold light. He aimed at the seven-inch point of the big snake and stabbed it accurately. The big snake seemed to sense the danger and wanted to dodge, but the interference of the sound waves made its movements slow. The sword blade accurately pierced the seven-inch point of the big snake, and a stream of black blood gushed out. The big snake let out a painful hiss, the sound echoed through the valley, and its body twisted violently, as if making its last struggle. The other big snakes were disturbed, and their originally slow movements became even more crazy. They attacked Lin Yu and Suna desperately.
