Storm rises in Miao village
Lin Yu and Suna, carrying the ancient book that held the hope of the Miao people, hurried to the Miao village with great anxiety. Their steps were hurried, as if countless demons were chasing them. Deep worry filled their hearts for the future of the Miao people, and with every step they took, they could feel the invisible pressure growing heavier.
Upon entering the Miao village, their keen intuition detected something strange in the atmosphere. In the past, the village was always bustling with activity and life, children playing and laughing in the streets, adults busy and orderly going about their daily tasks, the air filled with warmth and peace. But now, the entire village was shrouded in a gloomy silence, so eerie that it was chilling. The streets were deserted, and the few villagers they encountered occasionally wore panicked expressions and hurried steps, as if pursued by something terrifying.
"What's going on? How did the Miao village become like this?" Suna frowned, her eyes filled with confusion and worry. A sense of foreboding surged in her heart like a tide. Her heartbeat involuntarily quickened, as if she had a premonition of a huge disaster quietly approaching.
Lin Yu's face was also solemn, his eyes revealing vigilance and consideration. "Let's go find the Gu Po first and see if she knows what happened." He knew that the Gu Po was highly respected in Miao territory and had extensive knowledge, so perhaps she could give them some clues.
The two hurried to the Gu Po's wooden house. As soon as they entered, they saw the Gu Po sitting inside, her face full of worry. Seeing them come back, the Gu Po's originally furrowed brows relaxed slightly, and a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by deep worry.
"You are finally back. Something big has happened. Since you left, people have been disappearing mysteriously in the Miao village. No one knows whether they are alive or dead. The villagers are in a panic and dare not go out." The witch said anxiously, with a trembling voice. It was her worry about the fate of the Miao village and her concern for the safety of the villagers.
Lin Yu and Su Na looked at each other and saw the same thought in each other's eyes. They knew in their hearts that this series of bizarre events must be related to that mysterious man.
"Gu Po, we found a book that records the secret witchcraft in the forbidden area. Maybe we can find a way to deal with it from it." Lin Yu said, carefully handing the book in his hand to Gu Po, as if it was an extremely precious and fragile treasure.
The witch took the tome, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. She eagerly leafed through the pages, her expression growing more serious as she turned. "This secret witchcraft is truly diabolical. They're likely using the missing villagers to practice their evil arts. We must find a way to rescue them quickly, or the consequences will be disastrous." The witch's voice was deep and solemn, each word carrying a weight of a thousand pounds.
The three of them sat together and began to study the tome carefully. Lin Yu flipped through it, lost in thought. After a moment, he said, "The tome mentions that the practice of dark witchcraft requires specific locations and rituals. We can start from this aspect and find the whereabouts of the villagers." His eyes gleamed with thought as he tried to find the key clues between the lines.
Suna nodded vigorously in agreement, her eyes firm and focused. "That's right. Furthermore, the casting of dark witchcraft often carries certain unique signs. We can have the villagers keep an eye out for them and notify us immediately if they notice anything unusual. This might help us find the mysterious individual more quickly." She knew that mobilizing the villagers' power might be the key to resolving this crisis.
After thinking for a moment, the witch's eyes suddenly lit up and she said, "I remember there is an abandoned mine near the Miao village. There has always been a mysterious atmosphere there, and few people approach it. Maybe a mysterious person hid the villagers there and practiced evil magic there." There was a hint of speculation in the witch's tone, but more of it was certainty.
"Then let's go and take a look!" Lin Yu stood up with a determined fire burning in his eyes, as if he wanted to burn all the evil to ashes.
Suna and Gu Po also quickly stood up, and the three of them prepared to go to the mine immediately. Just as they were about to leave, they suddenly heard a commotion outside, which broke the silence of the Miao village and made people feel nervous.
They hurried out of the cabin and saw a group of villagers gathered in the center of the village, talking incessantly, their faces filled with fear. Lin Yu, Suna, and the Gu Po quickly approached and found a black cloth bag on the ground. The bag was open, and a pungent odor emanated from it, like a mixture of rotting corpse and poison, making people want to vomit.
Lin Yu frowned, cautiously stepped forward, squatted, and slowly opened the bag. Inside was a strange black powder, gleaming eerily in the sunlight, as if concealing some sinister power. Mixed in among the powder were strands of a villager's hair, which stood out, as if telling of its owner's tragic fate.
"What is this?" Suna covered her nose, frowned, and her eyes were full of disgust and fear.
The witch's face turned pale instantly, her lips trembled slightly, and she said, "This may be a sign of dark witchcraft. It seems that the mysterious man is demonstrating to us. He knows that we are looking for villagers. He is warning us not to interfere." There was a hint of anger in the witch's voice, but more of helplessness. She knew very well that the mysterious man's methods were cruel and cunning.
Lin Yu clenched his fists in anger, his knuckles turning white from the force. His eyes burned with rage, as if he wanted to burn the mysterious man to ashes. "He's too arrogant! We must not be intimidated by him. We must rescue the villagers and bring him to justice!" Lin Yu's voice was firm and powerful, resounding like a bell, as if declaring their determination to the mysterious man.
