Chapter 251: Resisting the Evil Tide and Protecting the Secret Power

Fight against the evil tide and protect the secret power

The clamor grew closer like a surging tide, as if countless demons from the depths of hell were breaking free from their shackles and madly rushing towards them. Lin Yu's heart felt as if gripped by an icy, invisible hand, and a chill ran down his spine. He knew full well that another thrilling, life-or-death battle was about to unfold like a storm. "Suna, get ready! No matter what demons and monsters are coming, we must not let them get even a step closer to this mysterious power." Lin Yu gripped the blood-stained spear tightly, his knuckles turning white from the strain. His eyes burned with determination as he stared intently at the entrance, as if to see through the impending enemy.

Suna's heartbeat also suddenly accelerated. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her pounding heart a little. Then, she quickly summoned the poisonous insects. The poisonous insects were like elite troops that had received orders. They instantly circled and danced around her, making a dense buzzing sound, as if playing a prelude to the upcoming brutal battle. In this tense atmosphere, the voice actually carried a hint of solemnity. "Okay, I'm ready. But from the sound, the person coming is definitely not a good person. We must be careful to deal with it. If we are not careful, we may be doomed." Suna's voice trembled slightly, revealing the tension deep in her heart, but she still tried to calm herself down, with determination in her eyes.

The old man's expression was as solemn as the gloomy sky before a storm. He stared intently at the entrance to the passage and spoke gravely, "I'm afraid the evil forces have sensed the loosening of the seal and sent these minions to seize the mysterious power. Over the years, they have been like greedy wolves, never giving up their pursuit of the ruins' secrets, constantly coveting this powerful force."

As soon as the words fell, a horrific swarm of nightmare-like monsters, twisted into shape, swarmed from the tunnel entrance like a tide. Their appearances were bizarre and terrifying. Some resembled humans, but had ferocious beast heads, their sharp fangs gleaming coldly in the dim light; others had bodies like serpentine snakes, suddenly sprouting limbs, making a chilling, grinding sound as they crawled. Each monster exuded a sickening, rotten stench, as if crawling from the rotting abyss of hell. Their eyes flashed an eerie red light, like two burning will-o'-the-wisp flames, revealing an endless evil and gloom. From their mouths, they let out low, murderous roars, as if announcing their evil arrival to the world. This evil aura surged towards Lin Yu and the others like a black tide.

Lin Yu launched the attack like a fierce tiger, spear in hand, like a streak of black lightning, charging at the horde of monsters with lightning speed. The spear swung with ferocity, emitting dazzling golden rays, like a blade slicing through the darkness. Each swing pierced the monsters with unerring precision. The pierced monsters let out agonizing, shrill roars, a sound like the wails of hell. Black blood gushed from the wounds like fountains, emitting a sickening stench. Yet, as if driven by some sinister will, these monsters, unfazed by the pain, continued their mad charge, their dense mass seemingly endless.

Suna focused her attention on directing the Gu worms. Like a dazzling slash of blades, they flew swiftly towards the horde of monsters with a humming sound. Wherever the Gu worms moved, the monsters seemed to instinctively sense the threat and took cover. However, many were unable to evade the attack and were severely bitten by the Gu worms. The Gu worms, like a group of fearless warriors, moved freely among the monsters. However, the monsters were too numerous, like an endless tide, and the Gu worms gradually began to feel their strength fail, and their colorful light dimmed.

"This won't work! There are so many monsters, it's almost endless. We have to find a way to break out." Lin Yu shouted at the top of his lungs, brandishing his spear with all his might, battling the monsters to their death. He was wounded in many places, and blood flowed from his wounds, staining his clothes red. Every movement was accompanied by a piercing pain, but he still gritted his teeth, persevering with his tenacious will, his eyes gleaming with an unyielding light.

The old man watched the fierce and nearly hopeless battle, his brow furrowed. After a moment's contemplation, he spoke hurriedly, "Try to attract the monsters' attention. I'll activate the ruins' defenses, which might temporarily block their attack." He quickly closed his eyes, muttering something, his hands forming hand seals as fast as a phantom. The complex hand seals seemed to hold an ancient and mysterious power, and as he moved, a strange vibration filled the air.

Upon hearing this, Lin Yu and Suna felt a glimmer of hope. They attacked the monsters even harder, trying to draw their full attention. Lin Yu unleashed every ounce of his might, straining his strength to the limit. His spear danced with impenetrable force, forming a golden barrier. Each strike carried an overwhelming force, repelling the approaching monsters. His eyes were filled with determination and resolve. Though his body was exhausted, his will to fight only intensified. Suna also constantly directed the Gu worms, flexibly changing their attack methods, sometimes focusing on the monsters' vital points, sometimes dispersing and disrupting their formation, leaving them defenseless. However, the monsters' offensive was too fierce, and they gradually began to struggle.

Just as they were about to collapse, feeling hopeless, a dazzling burst of light suddenly blazed from the ruins' walls. Like sharp swords, the rays intertwined to form an impenetrable barrier, temporarily keeping the monsters at bay. Upon seeing this, the monsters roared with fury and frenzy. Like madmen, they recklessly rammed the barrier with reckless abandon. Their roars echoed through the passage, piercing their eardrums. But the barrier remained unshaken, unmoved by the monsters' fierce attacks, radiating a mysterious and powerful light.
