Chapter 252: The Artifact Reveals Its Power and the Crisis is Finally Resolved

The artifact shows its power and the crisis is finally resolved

The cracks in the barrier spread like a ferocious spiderweb, spreading at a terrifying speed. As if sensing the scent of their dying prey, the monsters pounded the barrier with increasing frenzy, their roars like rumbling thunder, shaking the entire passage violently, as if it would collapse at any moment. Lin Yu, Suna, and the old man's hearts leaped into their throats as the passage trembled. They desperately searched the ruins for the artifact, searching every corner, every second feeling as if it were a year.

While running wildly, Lin Yu was thinking anxiously in his heart: "Where the hell is this deadly artifact hidden? If we can't find it, we will all die here. Once this mysterious power falls into the hands of evil, the consequences will be unimaginable." His eyes were like searchlights, eagerly scanning every inch of the dim space, not missing any possible clues, not even a slightly unusual stone or a seemingly ordinary pattern.

Suna followed closely behind Lin Yu, her steps hurried and frantic. Anxiety filled her heart, as if countless ants were gnawing at her. "The monsters' attacks are getting more and more frantic. This barrier can't hold out for much longer. Oh, God, please help us find the artifact quickly, or everything will be over, and all our efforts will be wasted." Her eyes revealed a hint of fear, but more of a determination, a firm resolve to live and die with Lin Yu and protect the mysterious power.

Though the old man's steps were slow, for time had taken its toll, his gaze remained unwavering, as if ignited by an eternal flame. He muttered to himself in a deep, solemn voice, "Ancestors, bless us to find the artifact and protect the secrets of this relic, so that evil will not wreak havoc on the world." Each word sounded like a devout prayer to his ancestors, and also like an unyielding struggle against an uncertain fate.

Just as they were about to be completely consumed by despair, Lin Yu's vision suddenly lit up. He discovered a highly concealed stone doorway ahead. Half-hidden in the shadows, it was completely invisible without careful observation. Strange runes were engraved on the stone doorway, glowing faintly and mysteriously, as if telling an ancient story. "Look, this stone door might hold a clue," Lin Yu shouted, unable to contain his excitement.

The three of them quickly reached the stone door, as if they had seen a glimmer of light in the darkness. The old man leaned in close, examining the runes carefully, his eyes revealing concentration and solemnity. His fingers gently traced the runes, feeling the traces of time. "These runes are the key to opening the stone door. I need a moment to decipher them." The old man's voice was calm, but the slight tremor in his voice betrayed his inner nervousness.

At that moment, a deafening roar echoed from the other side of the barrier, and a massive crack suddenly appeared, like a hideous wound. The monsters' claws eagerly thrust themselves in, fangs bared, as if ready to tear them to shreds. "Time's running out!" Suna cried anxiously, a hint of tears in her voice. Her eyes were fixed on the crack, filled with fear and worry.

Beads of sweat covered the old man's forehead and rolled down his cheeks. His hands trembled slightly. But he took a deep breath, calmed himself, and focused all his energy on deciphering the runes. Time seemed to freeze at that moment, and every second was filled with agony. Finally, a flash of surprise flashed in his eyes. He had discovered the pattern of the runes. He touched the runes in a specific order, muttering to himself, as if awakening the long-dormant stone gate.

The stone door slowly swung open with a dull creaking sound, like the sigh of time. A dazzling light shone from the door like a raging torrent, blinding them almost to the point of blindness. Within the light, a luminous sword hovered, its blade as transparent as crystal, its interior shimmering with countless stars, a dreamlike illusion. A massive gem inlaid in the hilt emanated from within, a pure and powerful light that seemed to dispel all darkness.

"That's it!" the old man shouted excitedly, his voice full of surprise and relief.

Without hesitation, Lin Yu reached out and grasped the sword. Instantly, a powerful, warm force surged through him like an electric current, like a shower of rain upon parched earth. He felt himself brimming with boundless strength. "Let's go out and deal with those monsters!" Lin Yu swung the sword, and the light illuminated the entire passage, as if bringing hope to this dark world.

The three of them quickly returned to the barrier. By this time, the barrier was already shaky, as if a single breeze could completely destroy it. Lin Yu shouted, his voice like a bell echoing through the passage. He swung his sword, and a beam of intense light shot towards the monsters like a meteor. Wherever the light struck, the monsters roared in pain, as if they were being burned by a raging fire. Their bodies began to smoke under the strong light, their already ferocious faces distorted even more terrifyingly, and their movements became sluggish, their once frantic offensive instantly curbed.

Suna seized the opportunity to direct the Gu worms. Encouraged by the bright light, they seemed even more valiant. Like a streak of multicolored lightning, they charged at the monsters, stinging them fiercely. Each Gu worm, like a fearless warrior, weaved freely among the monsters, leaving them unable to defend themselves.

The old man wasn't idle either. He muttered something, his hands rapidly forming seals. Rays of light shot out from his hands, striking the monsters like sharp arrows. Under attack from all three sides, the monsters began to fall to the ground, their black blood flowing onto the ground, emitting a sickening stench.

However, just as the situation was improving and they saw the dawn of victory, a gigantic monster slowly emerged from the horde. It was several times larger than the others, like a moving mountain. Its scales gleamed with a black light, like solid armor, each one radiating cold murderous intent. Its eyes revealed ferocity and cunning, as if plotting a deadly counterattack.
