Chapter 261: Searching for Weaknesses, the Fog Clears

Exploring weaknesses, the fog gradually clears

Lin Yu was surrounded by zombies, their stench emitting decay and their claws bared. Yet, his gaze remained as resolute as steel, unfazed. The sword in his hand shone with a cold gleam as he swung it, engaging in a desperate battle with the zombies. Each collision of the sword and the zombie's body produced a dull thud, echoing through the silent streets of the ancient town like the beat of a battle with the god of death. "This isn't going to work. We must find the zombies' weaknesses quickly, or we'll run out of energy and be in danger." Lin Yu was anxious, beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, but his eyes darted across the zombies, trying to find a flaw in their rigid forms.

Suna was equally locked in a fierce battle, her breath nearly suffocated by the zombies. Beads of sweat covered her forehead, trickling down her cheeks and soaking her collar. But her gaze remained fixed on the zombies, her entire attention focused on directing the Gu worms. "Gu worms, you must find their weaknesses," Suna prayed silently, her eyes revealing a hint of anxiety and anticipation. As if sensing their master's intentions, the Gu worms crawled relentlessly over the zombies, meticulously exploring every inch.

Suddenly, a Gu worm landed on a zombie's neck, its antennae quivering slightly, as if it had detected something unusual. Su Na's mind suddenly stirred, and she immediately focused her attention on controlling the Gu worm, letting it delve deeper. She saw a black vein pulsating beneath the skin of the zombie's neck, a stark contrast to the stillness of the rest of the body.

Lin Yu had been paying attention to the changes in Suna's expression. Seeing that she looked different, he quickly called out, "Suna, did you find anything?"

Su Na responded loudly, her voice trembling slightly with excitement: "Lin Yu, there seems to be something wrong with the zombie's neck. It seems to be its weak point. Try to attack it!"

Upon hearing this, Lin Yu's eyes lit up instantly. Seizing the opportunity when a zombie approached, he thrust his sword into its neck. The sword, brimming with sharp energy, pierced through like a flash of lightning. The moment it pierced the zombie's neck, a stream of black liquid spurted out, splashing onto the ground with a sizzling, corrosive sound. The zombie let out a deep, rasping roar, a sound like it came from the depths of hell, filled with pain and unwillingness. Its body trembled violently, as if in immense pain, before collapsing heavily to the ground, transforming into a pool of black water that emitted a pungent odor.

"It really is a weakness!" Lin Yu was overjoyed, a smile of relief breaking through his tense face, his confidence surging. He and Suna exchanged glances, their understanding growing stronger as they worked together. In the ensuing battle, Lin Yu, with his agility, constantly sought opportunities to strike the zombies' necks, while Suna directed her Gu worms to subtly distract the other zombies. With their close coordination, the zombies fell one by one, black water pooling on the ground, the stench of decay growing stronger.

However, just as they thought the situation was improving and victory was within reach, a gigantic zombie slowly emerged from the mist. The mist swirled around it, like a cloak, adding to its eerie presence. The zombie exuded a strong stench of decay, even more intense than that of ordinary zombies, making the very smell nauseating. It towered over the average zombie, towering like a small mountain. Its shroud was tattered, revealing its skin an eerie purple-black hue, as if long eroded by a sinister force. Its eyes shone with a faint green light, like two will-o'-the-wisp flames, emanating an endlessly chilling gloom, as if it could see through the very soul.

"It looks like this is the zombie leader, everyone be careful!" Lin Yu gripped his sword tightly, his knuckles turning white from exertion, and stared at the giant corpse warily. His eyes were full of vigilance, knowing that this would be an unprecedentedly difficult battle.

The giant corpse let out an earth-shattering roar, a sound like rolling thunder, shaking the ground slightly, as if the entire ancient town was trembling at the roar. Then, it swung its massive arm and smashed down towards Lin Yu. The arm was like a thick stone pillar, carrying a tremendous force, and the air whirred wherever it passed. Lin Yu quickly dodged to the side, as fast as lightning. Even so, his arm was scratched by the giant corpse's nails, and a bloody mark appeared instantly. Blood flowed out, staining his sleeve red.

Seeing this, Su Na was terrified. She hurriedly commanded the Gu worms to rush towards the giant corpse, trying to disrupt its movements and buy Lin Yu a chance to breathe. Upon receiving the command, the Gu worms rushed towards the giant corpse like a colorful torrent. However, the giant corpse showed no concern. With a simple wave of its hand, a powerful force surged from it, like an invisible wall, knocking the Gu worms away. The Gu worms tumbled in the air, emitting a humming sound, appearing utterly helpless.

"This zombie leader is incredibly powerful. Ordinary attacks are useless against it," Suna said anxiously, a hint of worry in her eyes. She knew the situation was becoming increasingly dire, and she needed to find a solution quickly.

Lin Yu wiped the blood off his arm, feeling the stinging pain from the wound, but still said firmly: "We can't panic, there must be a way to deal with it. Let's find its weakness." Lin Yu's eyes revealed an indomitable will. He firmly believed that as long as he didn't give up, he would find a way to defeat the zombie leader.

The two dodged the giant's attacks while nervously observing its movements. Lin Yu noticed that before launching a powerful attack, the giant's leg joints would slightly bend to accumulate power. Although the movement was extremely subtle, he was still able to keenly detect it. "Suna, this giant's legs move before attacking. Perhaps its leg joints are a weak point," Lin Yu shouted, his voice tinged with excitement and anticipation.
