Seeking opportunity in desperate situation, the stone gate opens
Lin Yu and Su Na found themselves in a narrow, eerie secret passage, a suffocating atmosphere of tension. The roar within the passage resembled the roar of an enraged beast, each rising in strength as if threatening to collapse the entire passage. In this pressing situation, they frantically searched for an object corresponding to the depression in the stone door. However, apart from the icy, shimmering stone walls and the eerie, dreamlike light and shadows, there seemed to be no clear clues.
Lin Yu felt as if his heart was about to burst out of his throat. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead and slid down his cheeks to the ground. His eyes were like a sharp knife, scanning the secret passage frantically, not missing any corner that might hide a clue. "Where is it? This object must be nearby. Let's look carefully!" Lin Yu's voice became a little hoarse with anxiety. As he spoke, he almost touched the ground, checking every inch of the ground for hidden mechanisms or objects, not missing any tiny bumps or depressions.
Suna's palms were sweating with nervousness, her heart pounding as if it were about to burst. Her mind raced, searching for clues. "Lin Yu, could it be that this object isn't directly visible, but requires a mechanism to trigger its appearance?" Suna asked, her gaze darting towards the mysterious patterns on the surrounding walls. Her eyes were filled with concentration and anxiety, trying to find the clues to the trigger within these complex patterns, like searching for a hidden lighthouse in the vast ocean.
At this moment of despair, the ritual scene in the light and shadow suddenly underwent a strange shift. The crowd, once dancing devoutly around the stone platform, began to slowly disperse, as if driven by some invisible force. One of them, a tall figure dressed in the most bizarre attire, approached the side of the stone platform with solemn and mysterious steps. He leaned down and seemed to touch something on the ground. Then, accompanied by a dull rumbling sound, a delicate small box slowly rose from the stone platform. Its surface was intricately carved with patterns and emitted a faint glow.
"Look, there's a hint on the screen!" Lin Yu's voice crackled with excitement. He and Suna's gaze, drawn as if by a magnet, were immediately drawn to the spot where the figure in the image had touched the ground. Without a moment's hesitation, they scurried in that direction. Arriving, they immediately crouched down and began to examine the ground carefully. Sure enough, they found a slightly raised stone, its shape strikingly similar to the pattern on a page of the Mirror Casting Notes.
Lin Yu took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He stared intently at the stone, following the pattern, and pressed down with all his strength. Instantly, a dull, heavy sound echoed from the ground, as if the long-slumbering earth had awakened. The wall on one side of the secret passage slowly opened, revealing a hidden alcove. Within the alcove sat a softly glowing disc. The pattern on the disc perfectly matched the depression beneath the stone door.
"This must be it!" Suna exclaimed in surprise, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She carefully reached out and picked up the disc. As soon as she touched it, she felt a warm and mysterious energy emanating from it, flowing through her arm and throughout her body, relaxing her tense nerves a little.
However, the moment Suna picked up the disc, something terrifying seemed to have triggered. More spider monsters suddenly swarmed from the secret passage, several times more numerous than the previous encounter. Like a black tide, these monsters rushed towards Lin Yu and Suna with bared fangs and claws, emitting terrifying roars as if they were about to devour them alive.
"Deal with these monsters first, then open the stone gate!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice echoing through the secret passage. His eyes burned with determination, and he brandished his sword without hesitation, charging at the horde of monsters like a bolt of black lightning. The sword gleamed coldly in his hand, and each swing unleashed a sharp gust of wind, as if cleaving the dark secret passage. A smaller monster pounced on Lin Yu first, its speed as swift as the wind. Lin Yu's eyes froze, and he dodged to the side, his movements as nimble as a cheetah. Then, gathering all his strength in his arm, he thrust his sword fiercely into the monster's abdomen. The moment the sword pierced the monster's body, black blood spurted out like a fountain, splattering Lin Yu's face and body, emitting a sickening stench. But the other monsters showed no sign of retreating, and immediately surrounded him from all sides, trapping Lin Yu in the middle.
Seeing this, Suna was terrified. She knew Lin Yu was in danger and needed to help him quickly. She quickly focused her attention, chanting to herself, commanding the Gu worms to join the fight. As if hearing the call to charge, the Gu worms, like a colorful torrent, rushed towards the monsters without hesitation. They nimbly moved between the monsters, biting their eyes, abdomens, and other vulnerable parts. For a moment, the roars of the monsters and the buzzing of the Gu worms intertwined, filling the entire secret passage.
Lin Yu charged through the horde of monsters like a fearless lion. His movements were swift and powerful, but the monsters were too numerous, and despite his fierce resistance, he sustained multiple wounds. Blood gushed from his wounds, staining his clothes red, but he gritted his teeth and fought tenaciously. "Suna, find a chance to open the stone gate. I'll hold the line here!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice filled with determination and resolve, as if announcing to the world his unwavering resolve.
