Chapter 283: Fighting the Stone Monster and Surviving in Danger

The stone monster took advantage of Lin Yu's injury and attacked again like a shark smelling blood. Its huge body rushed towards Lin Yu quickly, and its speed was even faster than before, as if it wanted to crush Lin Yu completely. Lin Yu knew that he was physically exhausted and could no longer fight the stone monster. He took a deep breath, concentrated all his energy, and stared at the stone monster, waiting for the best opportunity. At the moment when the stone monster was about to hit him, Lin Yu, with his tenacious will and agility, dodged to the side. At the same time, he stabbed the sword fiercely into the side of the stone monster. The stone monster felt pain, and its body shook violently, and it let out an angry roar. Lin Yu took the opportunity to pull out the sword with force, and cut another long wound on the stone monster. More black liquid gushed out of the wound.

While frantically searching for an exit, Suna finally discovered a cleverly hidden pattern on the wall. Without close inspection, it was difficult to discern its difference from the surrounding walls. Leaning in closer, she was pleasantly surprised to discover that the symbols on the pattern bore a striking resemblance to some she had previously seen on the parchment. A surge of joy filled her heart, and she immediately realized that perhaps she could follow the order of the symbols on the parchment and press down on the corresponding raised areas. With a trembling hand, she reached out and, with some trepidation, attempted to press down on several of the raised areas on the pattern, following the order of the symbols.

Suddenly, a slight "click" sound echoed from the wall, and a secret door appeared. It slowly opened, and a stale smell filled the air. "Lin Yu, I found the exit!" Suna shouted excitedly, her voice filled with the joy of having survived a disaster.

Lin Yu was delighted when he heard this, but the stone monster's attack intensified, forcing him to retreat. The stone monster seemed to sense Suna's discovery and realized the situation was dire. It swung its arms and attacked Lin Yu frantically. Lin Yu dodged left and right, but was inevitably grazed by the stone monster's arms, leaving deep blood marks on his body, and the blood quickly stained his clothes red.

"You go first, leave me alone!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice full of determination. He knew that if both of them were trapped here, neither of them could leave, and someone would have to make a sacrifice to give the other a chance to escape.

Tears welled up in Suna's eyes as she watched Lin Yu, who was battling the stone monster to the death, her heart filled with reluctance and worry. But she knew this was no time to hesitate. Time was running out, and every second mattered. She gritted her teeth and turned to run towards the secret door. However, just as she was about to reach the secret door, the stone monster seemed to sense Suna's intentions. It abandoned its attack on Lin Yu and, like a mad bull, turned and rushed towards Suna. The stone monster was extremely fast, closing the distance between them in an instant.

"No!" Lin Yu was so anxious at the sight that fire practically shot out of his eyes. He ignored the pain in his body and rushed towards the stone monster with all his might. Just as the stone monster was about to catch up with Suna, he used up his last bit of strength, jumped up, and jumped onto the stone monster's back. He gripped the sword tightly with both hands and stabbed it into the stone monster's neck with all his might. The stone monster let out a painful roar that echoed throughout the basement. Its body shook violently, trying to throw Lin Yu off.

Su Na took the opportunity to run into the secret door. She looked back at Lin Yu who was fighting with the stone monster, her eyes full of reluctance and worry, tears welling up in her eyes: "Lin Yu, you must come out alive!"

The secret door slowly closed, isolating Lin Yu and the stone monster from each other's worlds. Lin Yu clutched the stone monster's back tightly, clinging to a last straw, stabbing it repeatedly with his sword. The stone monster struggled frantically, its body twisting violently, trying to escape Lin Yu's attacks. Lin Yu felt like he was on a small boat caught in a strong wind, threatened to capsize at any moment. But he had one conviction: no matter what, the stone monster must not harm Suna. Even if it meant death, he would die here, stopping it. He must find a way to escape and find the gem with Suna. He gripped his sword tightly, his eyes as determined as steel, ready for a final, life-or-death struggle with the stone monster. Who would emerge victorious in this life-or-death struggle? Could Lin Yu escape and reunite with Suna? And could they follow the map's instructions and successfully find the next gem? Everything remained unknown, shrouding them like a fog, waiting to be revealed.
