Mysterious visitor, foggy confrontation
Lin Yu and Suna stared intently at the approaching figures. The air around them seemed to freeze with tension, their hearts pounding as the approaching footsteps approached, their chests pounding as if they were about to burst. The figures grew clearer in the darkness: three of them, clad in strange clothing. The fabric seemed woven from an unknown substance, shimmering with a faint light, as if blending into the darkness yet transcending it. Their faces were deeply obscured by hoods, revealing only their eyes, which shimmered with a faint light. This light flickered eerily in the darkness, like two will-o'-the-wisp flames, giving people a chill, as if they were being watched by some unknown, sinister force.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" Lin Yu asked loudly, trying to sound calm, but his inner vigilance was like a taut bowstring. He subconsciously shielded Suna behind him, his hand tightly gripping the sword. His knuckles turned white from the force, and the blade trembled slightly, reflecting the faint light of the tinderbox, which swayed in the surrounding darkness, as if it could be swallowed by the darkness at any moment.
The leading figure took a step forward, his movements steady and slow, each step akin to treading upon the hearts of Lin Yu and Suna. His voice, deep and hoarse, seemed to emanate from the depths of an ancient well, bearing the weight of time and an endless chill. "Outsiders, this is not the place for you. Take your discoveries and leave immediately." The voice echoed in the empty cavern, like the tolling of a dull bell, striking their eardrums.
Lin Yu's heart skipped a beat. The other party seemed to know they had found the book. It seemed they also knew something about the valley's secrets. "We've come this far through hardships, and we won't leave easily. Why are you here, and why do you know so much about this?" Lin Yu responded without flinching. He stared at the other party with unwavering determination, trying to discern a clue from the hooded face.
The figure sneered, his laughter echoing in the darkness like the cry of a night owl, filled with disdain and threat. "Hmph, the secrets of this valley are beyond your reach. If you don't leave, don't blame us for being rude." With that, he waved his hand, the movement clean and sharp, as if issuing a death order. The other two quickly dispersed, their footsteps light and silent, like ghosts, instantly surrounding Lin Yu and Suna, leaving them no chance of escape.
Suna felt a wave of nervousness. She could feel the air around her, as if oppressed by the aura of these three men, becoming heavy and oppressive. She whispered to Lin Yu, "What should we do? They look difficult to deal with." Her voice trembled slightly, betraying her inner fear. Lin Yu turned his head slightly and gave Suna a reassuring look. That look was like a beacon in the darkness, filled with determination and warmth: "Don't be afraid, I'm here." Although he said this, he knew in his heart that the aura emanating from these three men was mysterious and powerful. They were no ordinary people, and a fierce battle was inevitable.
Lin Yu quickly surveyed his surroundings, his mind racing as he pondered a countermeasure. He noticed some bumps and cracks on the right side of the cave wall. The bumps were jagged, and the cracks varied in width. Perhaps he could use them to disrupt the enemy's movements. At that moment, a figure on the left took the lead in attacking. With astonishing speed, he darted towards Lin Yu like a ghost. A dagger emitting a blue glow appeared in his hand. The blue light was particularly dazzling in the darkness, like a demon's eye, piercing Lin Yu's chest.
Lin Yu was startled and quickly dodged to the side, his body like a black shadow, moving swiftly in the darkness. At the same time, he swung his sword at the opponent's arm. The sword made a whirring sound, like a silver lightning, cutting through the darkness. The figure moved nimbly, like a nimble black panther, easily avoiding Lin Yu's attack. Then, another series of swift stabs followed. The blue light of the dagger flickered in the darkness, like a meteor streaking across the night sky. Lin Yu parried while moving towards the right cave wall. Each dodge was dangerous. The dagger almost grazed his body, bringing a chill.
He seized the opportunity and kicked hard at the protrusion in the cave wall. With a dull thud, several rocks loosened and rolled down, crashing towards the figure. The rocks tumbled in the darkness, carrying an unstoppable force. The figure quickly retreated to avoid the rocks, his movements somewhat awkward. Lin Yu seized the opportunity to turn and move closer to Suna, preventing them from being separated and broken. Now, the two stood back to back, vigilantly watching the enemies around them, their breathing rapid and heavy, their clothes drenched with sweat.
At this time, the leading figure spoke, "It seems that you are determined to stay." After that, he quickly formed seals with his hands, and his hands danced quickly in the darkness, like two black bats, muttering to himself in a low and obscure voice, as if he was chanting an ancient and evil spell.
Instantly, the air around them grew bone-chillingly cold, like a howling winter wind. Icicles rose from the ground like sharp blades, shooting towards Lin Yu and Suna. The icicles gleamed with a shimmering cold light, resembling the Grim Reaper's scythe in the darkness, emitting a deadly aura. Lin Yu swung his sword, attempting to block the icicles. The sword and icicles collided with a crisp, dinging sound, sending icy shards flying. But the icicles were numerous and swift, like dense raindrops, descending from all directions.
Seeing this, Suna quickly summoned the Gu worms. Like a cloud of black mist, they emerged from her sleeves and collar, charging towards the ice cones. The Gu worms collided with the ice cones, making a sizzling sound, as if two forces were competing against each other. Some of the ice cones were melted by the Gu worms, turning into puddles, but many still broke through the Gu worms' defenses and continued to shoot towards them.
