Bravely fighting tentacles, shadows at the bottom of the valley
Lin Yu watched the black tentacles approach with ghostly swiftness, his heart lurching as a chill shot from his feet to his forehead. Without a second thought, he quickly secured Suna behind him, his sword slashing fiercely at the nearest tentacle like a flash of silver lightning. The sword struck the tentacle with a muffled "puff," as if piercing something tough and sticky. Immediately, a stream of dark green slime erupted like a fountain, splashing onto the stone bridge with a sizzling, corrosive sound. Tiny pits instantly formed on the surface, and a pungent odor filled the air.
"Be careful with this slime! It's corrosive!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice echoing through the canyon, tinged with anxiety. He shouted as he dodged the tentacles with ghostly speed, nimbly avoiding the attacks of the other tentacles. Each evasion was fraught with danger. Tentacles brushed past him, the gusts of wind whipping through his body, stinging his cheeks. Suna clutched the hem of Lin Yu's shirt tightly, her fingers white with the strain. Fear shone through her eyes, but more so, her unwavering trust in Lin Yu. She suppressed the turmoil of anxiety within her, took a deep breath, and focused her attention on directing the Gu worms to attack the tentacles. Like a black mist, the Gu worms, with a buzzing sound of wings, surged towards the tentacles, biting them one after another. The tentacles, struck by the Gu worms, twisted wildly like enraged pythons, flinging away many of the surrounding Gu worms and sending slime flying everywhere.
Lin Yu dodged the tentacles' attacks, searching for their weaknesses in the fierce battle. His sharp eyes fixed on the tentacles, not missing a single detail. After some observation, he discovered that while the tentacles appeared thick and powerful, like thick black stone pillars, their attack methods were relatively simple. Before each attack, the base of the tentacles would gently wriggle, like the subtle ripples on the sea before a storm. Lin Yu seized the opportunity when a tentacle attacked, kicked the stone bridge with his feet, and rushed forward like a black arrow. The sword in his hand, with tremendous force, stabbed the base of the tentacle. The tentacle, as if sensing a fatal threat, suddenly withdrew, but Lin Yu's sword still accurately cut it, and more dark green slime flowed out, gathering into a pool of foul-smelling liquid on the stone bridge.
"Lin Yu, there's more!" Suna suddenly called out anxiously, her voice trembling with nervousness. Lin Yu's heart tightened, and he quickly turned to look. Several more tentacles stretched out from different directions, like black pythons, at breakneck speed, closing in within a blink of an eye. Lin Yu reacted quickly, blocking the incoming tentacles with his sword. The sword and the tentacles collided with a series of crisp clangs, and his arm numbed slightly from the immense force. He dragged Suna along, struggling to move across the narrow stone bridge. The bridge was already narrow, and with the added pressure of the tentacles, every step was difficult, like entering a dangerous maze. However, the tentacles continued to grow in number, surrounding the bridge like a black tide, and their attacks seemed to grow even more frenzied. The frequency and force of their attacks increased dramatically, each strike carrying a powerful force that threatened to destroy the bridge and them along with it.
"This isn't going to work! We have to find a way out!" Lin Yu shouted. Sweat was already beading on his forehead, and beads of it trickled down his cheeks. His clothes were stained by the slime from the tentacles, emitting a sickening odor. Suna glanced around anxiously, a hint of panic in her eyes, but she tried to calm herself. Suddenly, she noticed some raised rocks on the side of the canyon wall. They varied in size and shape, like naturally formed footholds.
"Lin Yu, look at those rocks over there. Can we use them to jump onto the cliff face and escape these tentacles?" Suna pointed at the cliff face, her voice filled with anticipation and nervousness. Lin Yu looked in the direction Suna pointed, thinking this might be the only way. However, accurately jumping onto the cliff face amidst the torrential rain of tentacles was extremely difficult. If he wasn't careful, he would fall into the abyss.
"I'll distract the tentacles first. You wait for the right moment to leap over. Be careful!" Lin Yu said, his eyes filled with determination and worry. He knew this plan was fraught with risk, but at this moment, he had no other choice. He gripped his sword tightly, took a deep breath, and brandished it, actively charging at the tentacles, attacking them repeatedly, each strike wielding all his strength and determination, attempting to attract their attention. Lin Yu's actions truly infuriated the tentacles, and like wasps whose nest had been disturbed, they swarmed towards him. For a moment, black tentacles swirled around him, forming a black vortex.
Suna saw the opportunity, steeled herself, took a deep breath, and leaped toward the cliff. Her body traced a graceful yet breathtaking arc through the air, like a bird spreading its wings. Just as she was about to touch the cliff, a tentacle suddenly shot out like black lightning, wrapping itself around her ankle with lightning speed.
"Ah!" Suna screamed, her voice full of fear and despair. This sudden change made her heart instantly rise to her throat, as if it would jump out of her throat in the next second. When Lin Yu heard the cry, he was extremely anxious, and felt that his heart was tightly grasped by an invisible big hand. Without hesitation, he turned and rushed towards Suna, swinging the sword in his hand like a storm, and each sword was filled with anger and anxiety, slashing fiercely at the tentacles that were entangled with Suna. The tentacles twisted violently in pain and let go of Suna. Suna took the opportunity to stretch out her hands and desperately grabbed the rocks on the cliff. Her nails turned white because of the force. Finally, she stabilized her body. She was gasping for breath, and her heart was beating violently in her chest.
