Fighting the Stone Man, Mysterious Runes
Seeing the stone men approaching with such force, Lin Yu steeled himself and charged at the nearest one like a tiger. Gathering all his strength in his arms, he raised his sword high and, with a sharp, wind-like sound that sliced through the air, struck the stone man's head with a thunderous force. The moment the sword made contact with the stone man's head, a resounding clang resounded, like the roar of a bell, piercing the eardrums and sending up a shower of dazzling sparks, striking the eye in the eerie surroundings. However, the stone man's skull was as hard as iron, and the sword left only a shallow mark, like a dragonfly skimming the water, causing no substantial damage.
The stone figure seemed enraged by the blow. Its rocky body trembled slightly, and it swung its massive stone axe, sweeping across at Lin Yu. The sharp wind from the axe's blade was like a sharp knife, scratching Lin Yu's cheek painfully, as if it would cut his skin. Lin Yu secretly thought, "Oh no!" and hurriedly leaped backward, exerting all his strength to avoid the blow. His figure arced through the air, narrowly avoiding the stone axe's attack. His feet sank deep into the grass as he landed, sending up a cloud of dust. He shouted, "This stone figure is too tough! Hit his weak spot! Everyone, be careful!" At this moment, he was filled with anxiety and tension. He knew the stone figure was powerful and needed to find a way to deal with it quickly, otherwise they would all be in danger.
When Su Na heard Lin Yu's cry, she immediately understood. She quickly focused her mind, dancing her hands in the air, muttering something to herself, commanding the poisonous insects to take action. The poisonous insects were like well-trained soldiers. After receiving the order, they quickly drilled into the joints of the stone man's legs. The poisonous insects used their sharp mouthparts to bite desperately, trying to destroy the stone man's ability to move. The stone man noticed the abnormality in his legs, and his originally steady steps became a little staggering. He let out a dull roar, like thunder rolling underground. But he did not give up the attack, still waving the stone axe, trying to disperse the poisonous insects in his legs. The stone axe swung in the air, making a whistling sound.
Leng Xuan had been observing the battlefield. Seeing the stone man stumble, he flashed the Shadow Moon Blade in his hand, a strange and mysterious light. With ghostly swiftness, he quickly approached the stone man. While the stone man's attention was focused on the Gu worm in his leg, he stabbed him fiercely at the bite. The Shadow Moon Blade pierced the stone man's leg, and a puff of black smoke hissed from the wound, accompanied by a pungent odor. The stone man let out a deeper, more painful roar, lost his balance, and fell to one knee.
Seeing this, the other stone figures, like enraged beasts, brandished their stone axes and stalked heavily towards them. For a moment, the shadows of axes shone thickly, the cold blades gleaming in the dim light, dazzling the eyes, as if trapped in a steel cage. Lin Yu, Su Na, and Leng Xuan stood back to back, forming a tight defensive circle, warily observing the surrounding stone figures. Their eyes revealed determination and resolve. Although filled with fear of unknown danger, their mutual trust and shared faith kept them together.
Lin Yu dodged the stone axes coming from all directions, his mind racing with countermeasures. He keenly noticed that while the stone men were powerful, each strike packing a powerful punch, they were also relatively slow, turning and moving slowly. So, he shouted, "Leng Xuan, let's exploit their slowness. We'll attack them proactively and defeat them one by one! Suna, use your poisonous insects to disrupt the other stone men and create an opening for us!" His voice was firm and powerful, a shot of confidence in his companions amidst the tense atmosphere.
Leng Xuan heard Lin Yu's call and nodded slightly to indicate understanding. Almost simultaneously, the two rushed towards a stone man, their coordination seamless. Lin Yu's nimble form, like a flash of black lightning, swiftly rushed in front of the stone man, brandishing his sword to attract his attention. As expected, the stone man was drawn in and swung his stone axe towards him. Lin Yu deftly dodged sideways, and the stone axe struck the ground, sending up a cloud of dirt. Just as the stone man's attack missed, leaving a brief opening, Leng Xuan seized the opportunity to ghost around behind him. His Shadow Moon Blade, flashing a deadly light, stabbed fiercely into his back. The stone man roared in pain, attempting to turn and attack Leng Xuan. But how could Lin Yu miss this opportunity? He swung his sword again, piercing the stone man's arm. With a dull clang, the stone man's axe fell to the ground.
Meanwhile, Suna focused her full attention on directing the Gu insects. They formed into several clusters, like black clouds, each flying towards the other stone figures. They found their perfect timing and bit the stone figures' eyes, joints, and other parts. The stone figures, distracted by the Gu insects, were thrown into disarray, their attack rhythm disrupted. They swung their stone axes, trying to drive away the Gu insects, but the Gu insects were incredibly agile, constantly dodging their attacks and continuing to bite the stone figures. The Gu insects' distraction slowed the stone figures' movements, and their once orderly attack formation became fragmented.
With the three men's coordinated efforts, the stone figures fell one by one. As they fell, they transformed into a pile of rubble, scattered across the grass. Lin Yu gazed at the rubble, his tense nerves finally relaxed. But he knew this was only a minor danger in the misty forest; more unknown dangers awaited them ahead. This mysterious and dangerous forest was like a vast maze, every corner harbouring deadly traps.
"Is everyone okay?" Lin Yu asked with concern, his eyes sweeping over Suna and Leng Xuan, his eyes full of worry. Suna and Leng Xuan both said they were fine, their voices slightly tired but still firm and powerful.
