The Secret of Changbai Mountain
Lin Yu, Suna, and Lao Chen returned from Changbai Mountain, their minds full of unsolved mysteries. Inside the 749th Bureau's research room, the lights were dim and the atmosphere was solemn. They sat around a table piled high with documents, their brows furrowed, their gazes intently examining every piece of evidence they had brought back from Changbai Mountain.
In the photo, the huge footprints of the mysterious creature were deeply sunken in the snow, as if telling of its weight and power; the collected samples exuded an indescribable smell, which confused the experienced Lao Chen; and the recorded data, those fluctuating curves and abnormal values, were like puzzles waiting for them to solve.
Lin Yu crossed his arms, his eyes filled with worry. "This information may seem rich, but in reality, we still know nothing about that creature."
Suna bit her lip. "Yes, it seems we have only touched the tip of the iceberg."
Lao Chen pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose and said, "And this iceberg may be much larger and deeper than we imagined."
Just as they were lost in thought, struggling to find clues, the director of Bureau 749 walked in with a yellowed letter in his hand.
"This was just received and may be helpful to your investigation." The director's voice was particularly clear in the quiet room.
Lin Yu took the letter and opened it. The text inside was ancient and mysterious. He read it softly: "Deep in Changbai Mountain, there is a forgotten relic that hides the power to control unknown creatures."
Suna's eyes lit up, "This might be the key we've been looking for!"
Old Chen seemed more cautious, "But this could also be a trap. We can't trust it easily."
Lin Yu pondered for a moment, then said firmly: "No matter what, we can't let go of this clue. Get ready, let's go to Changbai Mountain again."
A few days later, they set foot on the mysterious land again, this time with the most advanced detection equipment, sufficient weapons and stronger determination.
As they returned to the spot where they had encountered the unknown creature, a chill ran down their spines. The already eerie forest now seemed even more eerie. The surrounding trees seemed to twist and twist, stretching their hideous branches towards them. The fog was thicker than before, like a heavy white curtain, enveloping the entire world.
"Everyone be careful, the atmosphere here is not right." Suna's voice trembled a little. She held the gun tightly in her hand, her eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.
Lin Yu nodded and said, "It feels like every inch of the air here is filled with unknown dangers."
Old Chen walked last, the instrument in his hand constantly beeping alarms, "The magnetic field and energy fluctuations here are abnormally strong, beyond the normal range."
They cautiously followed their previous route and arrived at the mysterious cave. At the entrance, strange symbols shone with an eerie light, even clearer and more striking than before, as if a pair of eyes were watching them, warning them not to approach.
"These symbols... look like some kind of ancient prohibition." Lao Chen's voice was full of awe and fear.
Lin Yu stared at the symbols, an inexplicable urge rising in his heart, "But we have come this far, there is no reason to retreat."
Suna took a deep breath and said, "Yes, no matter what's inside, we have to face it."
As soon as they stepped into the cave, a powerful force like an invisible hand sucked them in.
When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves in a vast underground palace. The walls were inlaid with a variety of exotic gemstones, some shimmering with a faint blue light, while others emanated a blood-red halo. These lights intertwined, creating a dreamlike yet eerie scene.
"This...is this the legendary ruins?" Suna's voice was full of surprise and fear.
Lin Yu observed his surroundings vigilantly, "Be careful, there may be more dangers hidden here."
Just then, a group of figures slowly emerged from the darkness. They were dressed in ancient clothing, the fabric frayed and the patterns blurred, yet the traces of time were still palpable. Their faces were stern, and their eyes revealed an untouchable majesty.
The leader was an old man with white hair and wrinkles on his face like ravines. His eyes were like lightning, staring straight at Lin Yu and others.
"Who are you? Why did you break in here?" The old man's voice was low and powerful, echoing in the empty palace.
Lin Yu stepped forward and said calmly, "We are here to uncover the secrets of Changbai Mountain. The unknown creatures here threaten the safety of the surrounding area. We must find a solution."
The old man sneered, "Hmph, the secrets here are not something you mortals can easily touch. This world belongs to us, and your arrival will only bring disaster."
As he spoke, the old man waved his hand, and the people behind him rushed up instantly and attacked Lin Yu and the others.
A fierce battle unfolded in the underground palace. Lin Yu dodged a fierce attack and retaliated, his fists whistling as they smashed into the enemy. Suna nimbly moved through the crowd, her gun crackling with every bullet, each bullet hitting its target accurately. Lao Chen hid to the side, using his instruments to disrupt the enemy's movements while providing tactical support to Lin Yu and Suna.
"These guys are not easy to deal with!" Suna shouted.
While dealing with the enemy's attacks, Lin Yu shouted, "Hold on, we can't lose!"
