Chapter 306: Finding Opportunity in the Mist, Finally Obtaining the Artifact

Leng Xuan, like a flash of black lightning, approached the Hydra silently from the left. His steps were light and steady, the Shadow Moon Blade poised in his hand, its blade gleaming with an icy light, as if waiting to drink the blood of its foe. Suna focused on commanding the Gu worm, her eyes gleaming with determination. Though still fearful, she must give it her all for her companions and to complete her mission. She directed the Gu worm towards the Hydra's eye, attempting to use it as their "eyes" in this dark battle, disrupting the Hydra's vision.

When the Hydra attacked Lin Yu again, Lin Yu seized the opportunity and, while the Hydra's head was gathering strength, slashed at its skull. The sword struck the Hydra's skull, sending sparks flying and a loud clang. The Hydra, in pain, furiously shifted its attention to Lin Yu, momentarily ignoring Leng Xuan's approach. Meanwhile, Leng Xuan swiftly rushed towards the Hydra's neck, his figure a black phantom in the mist, his speed astonishing. As he neared the Hydra's neck, he concentrated all his strength into his arms and stabbed the Shadow Moon Blade into the joint of its neck. The Hydra let out a painful roar that echoed throughout the canyon, its body twisting violently, shaking the ground like an earthquake. Lin Yu seized the opportunity to strike again, his sword, brimming with anger and determination, piercing the Hydra's neck.

The Hydra struggled frantically in agony, its massive body thrashing wildly through the mist, further turbulent. Venom, flames, and raging winds raged once more, yet Lin Yu and the other two refused to retreat or relax. Amidst the chaos, they continued their assault, relying on their tenacious will and close coordination to repeatedly evade the Hydra's frantic counterattacks and inflict heavy blows. Under their combined force, the Hydra gradually gave way, its nine heads drooping helplessly, its once fierce eyes losing their luster. Its massive body slowly collapsed, hitting the ground with a dull thud, like a mountain collapsing, the very ground shaking.

As the Hydra fell, the fog gradually dissipated. Sunlight, like a golden sword, pierced the clouds and shone across the canyon, dispelling the darkness and fear. Everything seemed to return to peace. Lin Yu and the other two were exhausted, their bodies covered in dust and sweat, and they had some minor scrapes. But they all wore happy smiles, the joy of victory, the affirmation of their mutual trust and unity.

"We succeeded!" Suna said excitedly, her voice choking with sobs. Tears welled up in her eyes, not only because of the joy of defeating Hydra, but also because of the tenacity and unity they had demonstrated in this life-or-death test.

Lin Yu wiped the sweat from his forehead, which mixed with dust and left streaks on his face. He smiled and said, "That's right, but we can't relax yet. We need to find the second artifact quickly. Our mission isn't complete yet, and the Yellow River giant turtle's crisis still awaits us." Although Lin Yu's voice was tired, his eyes were still determined.

The three searched the canyon meticulously, leaving no corner untouched. Finally, in a hidden cave, they discovered the second artifact, emitting a soft glow. Its unique shape resembled a mysterious artifact from ancient times, engraved with enigmatic symbols. These symbols seemed to come alive in the light, shimmering with a strange radiance and speaking of an ancient and mysterious power.

"Great, we found the second one!" Leng Xuan said, his face filled with joy. The discovery of this artifact brought them one step closer to success.

They knew that one final artifact awaited them in ancient ruins further down the Yellow River. Though exhausted, their eyes were filled with determination, ready to embark on the quest to find the final artifact, complete their mission, and finally seal the crisis posed by the Yellow River giant turtle. At this moment, their hearts were filled with anticipation and determination for the unknown challenges ahead. No matter how many difficulties and obstacles lay ahead, they would forge ahead fearlessly.
