Chapter 307: Exploring the Ruins and Fighting the Scorpion King

"This scorpion looks so powerful! How can we deal with it?" Suna's voice was filled with worry, and her eyes revealed a hint of helplessness. The scorpion before her was so huge and terrifying that she felt her own power was so insignificant, as if a gust of wind could blow them away.

Lin Yu frowned, his mind racing as he pondered a response. After a moment, he spoke calmly, "We can't panic. Times like this require us to remain calm. First, observe its attack patterns and identify its weaknesses. Leng Xuan, you circumvent it from the left, using your agility to attract its attention. I'll attack from the right, looking for an opportunity to strike its vital points. Suna, you continue to command the Gu worms and seize the opportunity to attack its eyes. Eyes are a weak spot for most creatures, and this might create an opportunity for us."

Leng Xuan nodded, his eyes revealing a firm determination. Without the slightest hesitation, he rushed towards the scorpion like a flash of black lightning. The Shadow Moon Blade swung in his hand, slicing a dazzling cold light through the air, as if to tear the dark space apart. The scorpion sensed Leng Xuan's attack and swung its two huge pincers like a violent storm, clamping down on Leng Xuan fiercely. Leng Xuan, relying on his agility, nimbly dodged sideways. The pincers whizzed past his body, bringing with them a strong gust of wind that made his clothes rustle.

Lin Yu seized the opportunity and rushed at the scorpion from the right like a tiger descending from a mountain. He raised his sword high and, with the force of a gust of wind, slashed at the scorpion's legs. The sword collided with the scorpion's shell, making a crisp clang that resonated like a bell in the silent ruins. However, the sword only left a shallow mark on the scorpion's hard shell. The powerful recoil numbed Lin Yu's arm, making it almost impossible to hold the sword. "This scorpion's shell is too hard!" Lin Yu was secretly surprised. He realized that this battle would be extremely difficult. He had to find the scorpion's weakness as soon as possible, otherwise they would be in a desperate situation.

Suna focused her attention on directing the Gu insects toward the scorpion's eyes. Under her control, the insects, like a dense black fog, rapidly approached their target. The scorpion, as if sensing the danger, suddenly swung its high-raised tail, releasing a stream of green venom like a fountain. The venom traced a strange arc through the air, instantly enveloping the insects. The insects struggled desperately in the venom, emitting a humming sound that sounded like a mournful melody of despair. Soon, the insects fell one after another, like black raindrops, vanishing into the dark ground.

"Damn it! This venom is too harmful to the insects," Suna said through gritted teeth, a hint of unwillingness in her eyes. Watching the insects die one after another in the venom, she felt a pang of heartache, but at the same time, she became even more determined to defeat the scorpion.

At that moment, the scorpion attacked again, as if enraged, its two massive pincers simultaneously clamping down on Leng Xuan and Lin Yu. Its pincers moved with incredible speed, like twin bolts of black lightning, leaving them with little time to react. The two men quickly leaped back to avoid the blow, but in their panic, they accidentally bumped into the stone statue behind them. Seeing this, the scorpion raised its tail high, its stinger gleaming with deadly venom as it stabbed them with swift force. The stinger was like the Grim Reaper's scythe, carrying with it endless murderous intent, ready to slay them.

At this critical moment, Lin Yu felt as if his heart had stopped beating, a chill running from his feet to his forehead. He knew he couldn't panic at this moment and had to calmly consider his response. Countless thoughts raced through his mind, trying to find a glimmer of hope. Suna watched the scorpion's attack nervously, her eyes wide, silently praying for a miracle, muttering, "It must be alright, it must be alright..." Leng Xuan gripped the Shadow Moon Blade tightly, his eyes as firm as steel, as he braced himself for the scorpion's attack. He vowed to himself that even if it cost him his life, he and his companions would defeat the scorpion and complete their mission, never letting their efforts go to waste.
