Chapter 32: The Ultimate Challenge

The Ultimate Challenge

As that powerful force surged, the ground shook violently, as if the entire world was about to collapse. A massive crack spread beneath their feet, like a ferocious mouth, ready to devour them.

"Everyone, be careful!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice particularly urgent in the chaos. He stretched out his hand, trying to pull up Suna, who had collapsed on the ground. His eyes were filled with worry and determination. "Suna, get up!" His heartbeat was rapidly accelerating, each beat accompanied by fear of unknown danger, but he knew that he could not retreat at this moment and could not let his companions get hurt.

Old Chen stared in horror at the black mist rising from the crack. It was as thick as ink, like an evil force surging from the depths of hell. "What the hell is this?" his voice trembled, his legs weak, and he could barely stand. Countless terrifying thoughts flashed through his mind. "Are we really going to die here?" His eyes were filled with despair, but also with a hint of unwillingness.

The man stared at the mist, his expression grim, as if he wanted to penetrate the fog and discern the truth hidden within. "I'm afraid this is the core of the curse." His voice was low and calm. Although he was filled with fear, he tried to maintain his composure. "This is our final challenge. We must overcome it." He vowed silently, gripping his weapon tightly, ready for the fierce battle that was about to begin.

The mist gradually gathered, and a massive figure appeared before them. Its form twisted like a deformed giant, its muscles tangled together as if ready to burst. Its skin was a strange black, and it exuded a sickening odor, a mixture of rotting corpses and sulfur that made one's stomach churn.

"How dare you, a tiny human, challenge the power of the curse!" The monster roared, a dull roar like thunder exploding in my ears. Its eyes flashed blood-red, filled with hatred and a desire for murder. It opened its bloody mouth and spewed out a stream of black flames, instantly scorching the surrounding air.

Suna was trembling with fear, her body completely out of control, and she could only cling tightly to Lin Yu's arm. "What should we do?" her voice was tinged with tears, tears welling in her eyes. Her heart was filled with fear and helplessness. "I don't want to die here, I don't want to..." Her mind flashed back to the beautiful memories of the past, those warm smiles and cozy scenes, forming a sharp contrast with the horror before her.

Lin Yu gritted his teeth, his gaze firm and resolute. "Let's fight! We have no way out!" His voice was filled with courage and determination. "We've come this far and been through so much. We can't give up here!" A rage ignited in his heart. "Even if I die, I must die with dignity!" He pulled Suna behind him, using his body to shield her from danger.

Old Chen reloaded his gun, his hands shaking with nervousness, but he managed to remain calm. "Yes, let's fight it to the death!" his voice tinged with madness. "I want to see who's more powerful, it or my bullet!" He raised his gun, aimed at the monster's eyes, and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

The bullet whizzed out, but bounced off the monster's hard skin without causing any damage.

"Damn it!" Old Chen cursed.

The man took a deep breath. "Concentrate your strength and attack its weak spot!" His eyes quickly scanned the monster, trying to find its flaw. "We can't attack blindly. We must find its fatal point!" His mind raced, recalling what he had learned about the mysterious power.

The monster swung its massive claws and lunged at them. Its claws were like sharp blades, whistling with the wind. Lin Yu dodged sideways and slashed at the monster's arm with his weapon, but only left a shallow mark on its skin.

"This guy is too strong!" Lin Yu said, panting.

Suna gathered her magic power, trying to provide some support. Her hands trembled, and waves of magic flickered in the air. "I... I'll do my best!" She gritted her teeth and released a beam of magic, but to the monsters, it was just a trivial nuisance.

The monster laughed wildly, "You ants, facing my power, will only lead to death!"

Lao Chen fired again, and bullets rained down on the monster, but to no avail.

"This isn't a solution!" the man said. "We must unite and find its weakness!"

Lin Yu looked at the monster and suddenly had an idea. "Everyone distract it, I'll go find its weakness!" He said, and rushed towards the monster.

The monster was enraged by Lin Yu's actions and focused all its attention on him.

Lao Chen and the man took the opportunity to attack the monster from both sides, trying to buy time for Lin Yu.

Suna continued to cast magic to provide them with cover.

Lin Yu shuttled under the monster, observing its body carefully. Suddenly, he found a rune on the monster's abdomen that was glowing with a faint light.

"Maybe this is its weakness!" Lin Yu was delighted.

He yelled to his companions, "Attack its belly!"

Old Chen, the man and Suna heard Lin Yu's cry and turned their attacks to the monster's belly.

The monster sensed their intentions and began to fight back frantically. But at this time, Lin Yu and his companions had already given up everything. They had only one belief in their hearts, which was to defeat the monster and lift the curse...
