Shadows appear, fierce fighting breaks out
The black fog seemed alive, swirling and surging violently, as if gestating some utterly terrifying being. Under the tense gaze of the crowd, a monster of staggering size slowly emerged from it. More than two men tall, it resembled a moving iceberg, emanating a bone-chilling aura that seemed to freeze the air around it. Its skin, as if made of solid ice, glowed with a cold, eerie glow. The sunlight reflected eerie, iridescent colors, like a strange signal from hell, sending a chill through the air.
The monster's head resembled a severely distorted wolf, its thorny ears raised high, as if sensing even the slightest movement. Its blood-red eyes, like two flaming seas of blood, shone with an endless rage and cruelty, as if piercing the deepest fears of the people and scorching their very souls. It slowly opened its maw, revealing two rows of razor-sharp fangs, each gleaming with a chilling light, as if capable of tearing through anything in the world. Then, it unleashed a deafening roar, a roar like rolling thunder that reverberated wildly through the valley, jarring everyone's eardrums as if they would burst at any moment. An invisible fear instantly enveloped everyone.
"What...what is this?" a team member exclaimed in horror, his voice shaking with utter fear, like leaves shivering in the cold wind. Lin Yu gripped his weapon tightly, his knuckles white from the strain. His eyes fixed on the terrifying monster before him, his mind racing like a machine, frantically calculating a response. "Whatever it is, we must not retreat! Everyone, stay alert and follow my command!" Lin Yu shouted, his voice firm and powerful, attempting to steady the team members' near-collapse in the atmosphere of fear. In reality, he was also filled with deep worry. This monster seemed incredibly powerful, its strength unfathomable, and every move exuded a deadly threat. But he knew that as captain, he must now demonstrate unwavering confidence, like a beacon in the darkness, illuminating the courageous path forward for his team members.
The monster seemed to be acutely aware of the undisguised hostility in Lin Yu and the others' eyes. It roared again with a furious roar, a roar like a surging wave, threatening to overturn them. Then, it swung its thick arms, as thick as tree trunks, and a blade of ice radiating a faint blue light instantly shot out from its hand. Like a bolt of lightning piercing the sky, it hurtled towards Lin Yu with lightning speed. Lin Yu's pupils constricted sharply, and he thought to himself, "Oh no!" He dodged like a ghost, and the ice blade whistled past him, bringing with it a piercing gust of cold wind, before striking the nearby mountain. With a resounding "boom," a large chunk of the mountain was instantly shattered, sending countless fragments flying like cannonballs, stirring up huge clouds of snow on the snow. "Everyone, spread out! Don't gather together to avoid being swept away by its attack!" Lin Yu shouted at the top of his lungs. Upon hearing the command, the team members quickly dispersed in different directions, looking for cover on the snow like agile snow leopards. Every movement was filled with tension and panic.
Seeing its attack fail, the monster grew furious, its blood-red eyes threatening to spit fire. It stomped its feet on the ground, and the entire valley trembled violently as if struck by a powerful earthquake. Suddenly, countless sharp ice spikes erupted from the ground like bamboo shoots, flashing with a cold gleam as they fiercely stabbed at the team members. The team members stared, their hearts racing. They leaped and dodged with nimble agility as the ice spikes rained down on them, each a near-death experience. The slightest misstep could lead to a piercing blow, instantly slaying them.
While dodging an ice spike, one team member suddenly slipped and fell to the ground. An ice spike pierced his chest like a hungry wolf pouncing on its prey. At this critical moment, Lin Yu rushed forward without hesitation, with only one thought in his mind: I must not let my teammates die here! He swung the weapon in his hand like lightning, and with a "clang", he accurately blocked the ice spike. "Are you okay? Get up!" Lin Yu said anxiously, his voice full of concern. The team member looked at Lin Yu gratefully, his eyes full of relief at having survived the disaster, and quickly stood up and rejoined the tense battle.
"This monster is too difficult to deal with. What should we do?" a team member shouted anxiously, a hint of despair in his voice. Lin Yu nimbly dodged the monster's barrage of attacks while nervously thinking. In the fierce battle, he used his keen observation to notice that before each powerful attack, the monster's icy armor would flicker with a strange light, as if it was accumulating some kind of power. "Everyone, pay attention! The monster's icy armor will change before it attacks. We must seize the opportunity to launch a counterattack!" Lin Yu shouted loudly, his voice so firm in the chaotic battlefield that it brought a glimmer of hope to the team members.
At this moment, the monster's icy armor once again shone with a strange light, growing stronger and stronger, as if gathering devastating power. It opened its maw, and a massive column of ice shot out at the team members like a raging torrent. Wherever it passed, the air instantly froze, forming a crystalline icy mist. Lin Yu seized the opportunity and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Now, attack!" Hearing the order, the team members summoned their courage and rushed towards the monster like tigers, weapons raised high, flashing with cold light, as they fiercely stabbed the monster's body. However, the monster's body was incredibly hard, like steel, and the weapons left only shallow marks on it, as if human power was so insignificant in the face of its impenetrable defense.
